Predict their E3

I hope Square makes an actual JRPG. None of that lazy Octopath shit. If Nintendo can make XC2 with a 40 man team there's no reason Square can't do something on a similar scale.

9/10 if they manage to bring SMTV, Bayonetta 3 and Metroid Prime 4. 2/10 if it's a repeat of last year.

My guess is Erdrick will be announced before E3, probably around the time Joker comes out. He'll probably be out a couple weeks after E3, but even so, I'm sure Nintendo will announce the third DLC character pack. It has to be a character that is big enough for them to announce at E3 though. Like, Joker is a pretty big announcement hence why they announced it at the game awards, but Erdrick is fairly small in comparison. Of the character announcements I deem big, I can see Scorpion, Banjo-Kazooie, Ryu Hayabusa, and Master Chief. I'm definitely forgetting a ton, but that's just off the top of my head and real quick too.

I feel like Animal Crossing and Pokemon Gen 8 will be shown off sometime before E3, but they could get second trailers during E3 as well. I can see these two being games the treehouse will play on stream. Same goes for Daemon X Machina and Super Mario Maker 2 assuming that doesn't come out before E3.

I think the biggest announcement will be whatever Retro is making and I highly doubt its a Star Fox racer. I feel like it will be a new IP. I do think a classic series will be revived, just by a different studio. I think the IP will be Advance Wars. I think Nintendo realized that the gameplay of Fire Emblem is a little more universally loved. However, I think Wars will get weebified like Awakening. Also, I don't think it will keep the Advance Wars name, Wars something though.

I still think that the idea behind Star Fox Grand Prix had a lot of potential. Both to be an amazing title, and to be another "What the heck were you thinking?" title.

Still would be awesome to see Retro Studios make a Star Fox title, though. I definitely trust them with the IP, and Star Fox is a series that could really use a boost right now.

2020 is where things get interesting IMO. I been saying it, the Switch is a two Mario, two Zelda system. I expect to hear about Odyssey and BotW follow ups in 2020.

Big Fire Emblem Expo first week of May, would imagine a ton of details shown off there, with minimal time at E3, maybe for dub voice cast or some shit.

As for the E3 show proper, has to be centred around Pokemon, no other game has its much prestige that know are coming soon to Switch.

The next Direct either in March or early April will be focused heavily on Super Mario Maker 2, with details about Smash spring update and a couple of other announcements and trailers. Likely between then and E3 we'll see a short Pokémon Direct. Animal Crossing will be revealed at E3, it's probably releasing sometime in Q4.
