VR screenshots rarely end up looking good, but this was pretty comfy. I was holed up here for 20 ingame hours waiting for the storm to pass and almost froze to death before making it to this fire, impossible to light my own in the weather. I have a mod that controls my floor fan depending on the weather and locale around me, so it felt crazy immersive.

Damn, I wish for a serious sequel to Majesty as well. With traits for heroes, like Craven (only attack weak monsters), Brave (doesn't retreat unless he's wounded), or Retarded (only attack monsters that are stronger than him) or Abusive (will not get healed by Agrela Priestess).

I've got some concept's written on the good old paper. But idea vs implementation of said idea are quite away from each other.
And even if you know what you want to do you also need to know how to do it. And implementing scripts for AI will be the most tedious task.

Yeah, the graphisms and engine can be done relatively easily, but the AI will be the hard part.
Make the characters actually smart enough to not engage Matthew aka "Knight Killer" in single fight, without making them too smart or they'll never go out of the castle.

Well, there was that one mission I think it was called "Builder's Union" - advanced difficulty, where you were starting with both gnomes and dwarves because succubus was seducing your peasants and instead of constructing the buildings they were taling their health points away. You simply had to bounty-target your peasants, plus there were random spawns of them "attacking" markets and other vital structures. succubus itself was randomyl spawning, but later disappearing to her lair, which of course you had to destroy to lure him out and kill her. Stats were - very good magic resistance - (95), good dodge and defence (65)
The 2nd one was expert/master. It was kind of a dark-forest themed mission, with a Abomination-like monster that lived in big tower. It could spawn a swarm of Daemonwood that was heading to your village, it also had a ring of defensive towers that was firing at your heroes with both arrows and magic attacks. I think you had like 50-60 days to defeat it.
That's the two missions I was dreaming about. Sadly I don't remember map shape or any new classes.

Saved as .png. What i liked about missions in Majesty aside of semi-random nature was restrictions placed on player.
Time restrictions are the easiest to implement but also the least fun, other's like only 1 high lv hero vs many lv.1 heroes per guild are more sophisticated. I could write a fucking book :|

Just play against bots, you can play with randoms versus 5 bots and it's chill. If you want to move on try Turbo mode which is super fast paced and much less serious. There are loads of guides out there, try and have fun.
There are a lot of people who get really mad, me included honestly, but when it stops being fun just don't play, don't feel forced to keep queuing up and grinding MMR or whatever.

Destroy huts and cut off warriors whenever you have the chance.
Don't try to consolidate too early or you will overextend, don't forget huts count as workers for territory protection.
Optimally, your first turn or two should be trying to link 2-3 huts and dropping a warrior on your nearest most threatening enemy -preferably on their hut or a worker. or bisecting territory.
If you have a little territory that's probably gonna get eaten, just put a castle there instead of trying a worker. You don't pay maintenance and the AI won't bother taking it til late game.
If the AI is blobbing harder than you instead of just fucking you up early game, you are probably not being aggressive enough. If the AI has a blob going you should have one too and can easily cheese the shit AI.
First order is cutting off their expensive units. You should calculate exactly how much one group is worth, and try to cut out a territory slightly smaller than can afford it.
Optimally you want kill their hut and make sure to leave every separated territory less than 20 spaces big so they cant cut into your peasant line to link back up next turn.

Oh, and if they are big enough to spawn warriors/knights to reconnect after you separate, make it harder for them by dotting a warrior every couple of workers for protection and make sure the chain links back to your territory in an arc so it isn't deleted by one unit being taken.
