How is it as a handheld?

You need a case for comfort

if i'm sitting upright at a desk it's pretty kino. laying back down in bed not so much, still use my 3DS+grips for that, or wii u gamepad

you hold it in your hands

It's pretty good, but you can't use it while walking pretty well.
I tend to prop it up when I'm sitting down and use the joycons.
Nice to use on the go.

I only use it in handheld. If I wanted a console to use on my TV I would've gotten a PS4.

The only game I use docked is Smash since I need to use a Gamecube controller to play it.

fuck shit hurts my hands

Not bad just don’t play it outside your house unless you want to get roasted by the blacks

I use it in handheld mode 90% of the time and it's pretty great for lying in bed with something on the TV. That being said, it's too large to carry around so I wouldn't ever use it on the bus or library or something like you could with a DS. It's also got the joysticks sticking out so you'll want a carrying case if you plan to bring it with you somewhere.

Why the fuck are you playing vidya when you're supposed to be watching where you're going? Do you play while you drive, too?

Too heavy and wide for my taste. Mostly too wide.

I don't even know where I left my dock, it feels surprisingly good in my hands.

100 times better than that bulky plastic shitty WiiU gamepad that felt like a huge toy. Plus it's actually a real handheld. The only worse thing is the grip but it's ok for me.

You people can't multitask, I used to be in a school with 2000 students where the halls would be packed and navigated just fine reading my books as I weaved through the crowd.

>he's the faggot that couldn't stop reading everywhere he went
lol I bet everyone talked shit about you

Lol this guy is serious.

It's a bit too large as it is, but it's fine if you take the joycons off and put the monitor down. I don't know if that's truly handheld in the same sense, but holding the whole fucking thing is just wrong.

you seem like a cool guy.
since you clearly have autism, thats sarcasm^

The absolute comfiest position is to lie down in bed, put a pillow on your chest, and prop your hands and switch on top of the pillow. Keeps it at a perfect height with no strain on your arms or neck.

Uncomfortable

It's bad but not bad for bedside playing. I usually take it to bed on Friday nights and then pretty much play it the whole Saturday morning while in bed. Feels absolutely degenerate and good.

What kind of case?

I guess ill ask here since it's the only Switch thread. Is this thing any good? Never played Diablo but the gameplay seems fun, reminds me of Magicka

Its fine for switch but on PC stick to Diablo 1 and 2.

Anybody been playing fighting games on this? My only reason for considering buying this is playing third strike on the go(it was always a dream of mine). Do the controls work for a fighting game?

I can't imagine playing Diablo 3 or PoE on a controller would be fun, but the game itself is fine for first time playing, despite what many people say about it.

The thing is people who complain about the game have usually played 100+ hours already. It's not a bad buy if you get bored after 100 hours, if you ask me.

But I don't play on PC

I can't really imagine using the regular joycons for fighting games so you may want to pick up another controller.

then delete your Yea Forums account and never come back here

meanie

Which one?

>Yoshi
well, what's the oth-
>Peach
are you a faggot?

It's fine. I use it like 90% of the time in handheld mode. But normally I'm on the couch or my bed. I don't feel comfortable taking this thing out of the house when I have at least $100+ worth of games downloaded

Most powerful yet.
>Why the fuck are you playing vidya when you're supposed to be watching where you're going? Do you play while you drive, too?
>multitasking-let
I feel sorry for you. And people do it all the time, but with phones instead.

I-I just liked the colours
The other options are: Mario, Splatoon, Bowser.

Have you guys ever left your basement?

>I can't imagine playing Diablo 3 or PoE on a controller would be fun
One of the few reasons I bought a Xbox One S is to play the console version of Diablo 3. That game is 10 times better with a controller, it plays like a brawler, with a dodge button and everything

it;s neither a handheld or a console. it's a tablet for Nintensoys.

Anyone here complete Kirby Star Allies? I have one question. Does EVERY stage have a hidden Big Switch? I'm going back through the levels to get everything, and I do see when you press R on the map it'll list all the levels and show a puzzle piece of you've collected all those in a level BUT only some levels have a big switch - I'm assuming the big switch symbol means you've found the big switch in the level. But I don't see any grayed-out/empty big switch symbols indicating I haven't found one in a given level. So, I'm unsure if EVERY level has one. Anyone know?

Is it good for anything else than Pokken?

Imagine how limp your wrists must be to not be able to play it in handheld mode

I only use it as a handheld, its just nice to play games I normally would have to play on pc or console in bed

4u

Sometimes my hands get tired but that can atttibuted to me needing to lift more.

Sometimes joycons can feel flimsy

Battery life could use improvement

I wouldn’t mind a smaller switch that can do 1080p.

Too small to be a home system, android built in, literally a failed handheld experiment (Nvidia Shield), biggest appeal is being portable, gets handheld games released on it.

It's not rocket science.

The only problem I have is when I need to use the right analog stick and the XYAB buttons at roughly the same time, but otherwise it's perfect.
Hell, I can't imagine playing something like God Hand in handheld mode

You hold it IN YOUR FUCKING HANDS

>it's pretty kino.
Kino means movie theater you obese fucktard. Sort yourself out.

Bowser is what the cool kids use.

Gives me carpal tunnel, but otherwise handheld mode is a very comfy and worthwhile feature.

It's probably the only game I'd say benefits from being addictive and repetitive. The game has a fun gameplay loop that works well as a dip in and play handheld game, and it's just flashy enough to hold attention for an hour or two.

I can't imagine playing it for 10+ hours straight, though.

Any further along on that hack that lets you play handheld games using the docked settings? If I remember correctly the battery life was impacted but the games nearly all run better
