What's the point at this point to add a character like Scorpion then? Even his most iconic & arguably not that violent fatality of him showing his skeletal face before burning his opponent's skin to the point of them becoming skeleton is something that's almost 100% getting rejected. I'd even be doubtful that other standards iconic moves like his grapple would get the rightful punch & meat that makes them oh so satisfying to hit.

Yeah, Grapple would probably be fine, i'm just saying that one iconic part of the move is a bit more subtle than just an iconic quote. Given Smash's rather homogenized sound design in most cases, i would be doubtful that the move would be given proper treatment.

Waluigi (last character from the main recurring Mario cast to not be in), (Captain) Toad, several Zelda characters (if FE can have one-off characters so can Zelda, especially considering how much more important Zelda is than FE), Bandana Dee (appears in practically every new Kirby game), several Pokemon, several characters from Nintendo franchises not yet in Smash, etc. are all relevant enough to make it into Smash

That part about Kiddy raises a very compelling point for her as a full character. IIRC, Diddy and Dixie were originally supposed to be in Brawl, as one character.

Any real F-Zero fans knows there are plenty of villains in the F-Zero universe. Samurai Goroh and Pico would make way more sense, have appeared since the first F-Zero game, are much more representative of the series and are much more original.

She's playable in as many of the sidescrolling games as DK and her signature technique is slow falling with her hair to skip over large sections of levels sometimes.

I'm fine with Dixie but Kiddy can go straight to hell.

Also worth mentioning that she was actually playable in /more/ of the SNES and GB games than DK himself. Before the dark times, she felt like just as much of a series staple as Donkey and Diddy. Everyone now looks at those two as a duo, but quite a few older fans see the three of them as a trio. They each had a starring role, after all.

DK is a fantastic series that deserves more love and Dixie is the next most important character. She could work as an easy Diddy echo if they didn't want to put in the effort, but she also has shit with her hair and guitar that could make her unique.

I get the complaint on Roy (not Ike and Corrin, they literally play differently) but why are people bringing up echoes.
