Characters are still likely to have individual growths and stuff and thus are likely more suited to certain classes than others, but otherwise I am sure it's possible. The growths might even be able to be manipulated somehow.

I never really caught hat the first time. I guess that could indeed be interpreted in that manner since the crests are indeed described as tokens of the goddesses power. The way she goes ham on it being irrational could also potentially be something of a flag.
