Well, KH3 took so long because they had to switch engines during development, and then were forced to move from PS3 to PS4. This time all of that stuff isn't going to be a problem. The real question is if it will be KH4 or it will be something akin to DDD, where it takes place after KH3 but mostly sets up the upcoming conflict.

I swear, H.A.N.D is the only one that got Air Slide right. It's quick and lagless. The only thing is that you can't use it every 2 seconds after falling, but depending on its level, that's how many times you could use them before landing/being hit. You could also chain them into each other.

Chirithy made it pretty clear that separated heart from body is not considered death in the universe, and the events of the game have pretty much been confirming that for a while. Oh boy. So let me try to explain this as respectfully as I can. So the old guy Xehanort had a plan. A plan that took 20 years to pull off. And he needed a young body since his own body was getting too old to hang around for another 20 years. So he tracked down an edgy teenager with an extremely strong body and forced his heart into it. Xehanort literally stole his body from him.

Here's the interesting bit. Terra was so angry and hateful at Xehanort that he's able to animate his old suit of armor on nothing but HATE. Not magic. Not darkness. Just pure, unfiltered spite and a desire to violently kill Xehanort on sight. Which by the way he can't see. Because he has no body. Just pure rage. Which is why he attacked Sora in KH2 as that game's super boss, he confused him for Xehanort.

The last one delivered well enough on being a giant clusterfuck. The rest were disappointing as fuck though.

A few things that bothered me about KH3 that all tie into this:

1. The game doesn't respect the player. There is no challenging difficulty.
2. There is a huge lack of human boss fights which are the best in every KH game. There's no reason why there couldn't have been an Org fight in every world.
3. The game doesn't even seem to like its own battle system. You spend so much time playing mini games, doing weird alternative fights like boats/flying/etc, and all Triangle commands in fights take you out of the action for way too long.

I didn't even like KH2 aside from the FM content because in general it fucked up almost everything good about KH1, but at least mindlessly fighting endgame enemies was a ton of fun.

Anyway I still like KH3 and the PotC world is amazing, completely blows away the shitty one from 2. I'm just nitpicking.

My only complaint was a lack of a satisfying, grandiose phase like the dragon phase or world of chaos. If there was something like that I'd feel better. That or have the finishing move feel more satisfying. It just looks like Xehanort was only mildly inconvenienced with the hit, not blowing up or dissappearing into nothingness like the previous final fights. I've said it before and I'll say it again: The final fight was very appropriate, satisfying, and well done, but not as satisfying as KH1 or KH2.

The darkness robes are just seriously unflattering for womens figures, especially the boobs.

some cutscenes just felt too weak imo, there were moments that needed to put more impact on dramatic scenes but came off as something insignificant and is strange because japan sure loves to create dramatic moments but they don't reflect that in KH3, some moments didn't need music for background, complete silence and a simple gasp would cause more impactful scene than having a looping music running in the background

This, for whatever reason there's a lot of people that don't understand why certain characters do certain things in kh3 when it's obvious. It's like everyone has autism or something. As an example, there are so many people that don't understand why xehanort decided to "just give up" in the end, as they put it. Do you really not get why a tired old man whose plans have been foiled over and over again would decide to concede after his best friend comes back from the dead just to tell him "that's enough man, its time to stop." It was the first time Xehanort has ever been in a position of weakness his entire life, and it took his best friend telling him for him to realize that. Like he says in the flashback right after, he never admits when he loses because he never loses. This is the first time he's ever actually lost without a backup plan.

This complicated explanation shouldn't even be necessary though, a basic grasp of human emotions should explain the situation immediately.

Fucking exactly. Christ what is with everybody, I feel like I've been in bizarre world ever since KH3 came out. The game has massive flaws but these aren't part of them, yet everyone seems to think it's an issue. It's not just due to Yea Forums's cynicism either, the majority internet opinion is that these things are flaws. I don't get it.

That's because those were plans he had ready to begin with. The reason he chose to give up in kh3 wasn't just because he was tired, it was because he was tired and out of options. Xehanort is somebody who always has a backup plan, and has backup plans for those backup plans. Thats why he's always so smug and sure of himself. The ending of kh3 is the first time we've ever seen him without a backup plan.

Eraqus forgive him for wanting to end the universe and scarring him, why not forgive him now?

Also he was still going towards Sora before Eraqus came out and he had multiple keyblade wielders there, he was already stumbling and dying. What's he going to do, switch bodies and then get bodied over and over? Remember he has to have darkness in a heart in order to take it over. He has no other plans, his entire plan hinged on a certain point in time in which he looped which was DDD/KH3. All he had left was to keep prologing the inevitable. He's old, just accept death now. That was Xehanort's fault, he wanted to continue living and seek more knowledge and satiate his curiosity, for him to just finally let go is telling of his character, not redeeming, but satisfying.

I honestly find a lot of the flaws in general with KH3 are exasperated quite heavily. It's not a perfect game and there is plenty I would change, but none of it's hard to understand (beyond say the Union X stuff which is left out of a lot of synopsis material). But even then none of its hard to pick and be like "Oh ok, that's why X did Y and Z did A and Q happened to J."

Hell I've seen people complain the game was too easy at Lv. 99, Ultimate, Best Equipment, etc. on Dark Inferno rinsing him, but then you watch them do it at say Lv. 40-45 and they get bodied like it's nothing. It's honestly just wild anymore.

I don't really mean story flaws, though those do exist. Most of my issues are gameplay related. I played through all the disney worlds on proud without dying, and I wasn't even using attractions, party limits, or kupo coins. I was using kingdom key as well, and the only spell I was using during bosses was cure. I died quite a bit in keyblade graveyard/scala but that's only because I turned on 0 xp when I was level 29 because I wanted the final part of the game to be harder. Crit will help a lot, but party limits, attractions, and magic in general (especially fire) need to be balanced. Focus step or whatever its called needs a cost as well.

I don't think anyone is actually saying this besides shitposters. The fact of the matter is that Dark Inferno is just easier than say sephiroth, assuming you fight both at appropriate levels of course. I'm not sure whether that's because dark inferno as a boss is just easier, or if it's because the fundamental gameplay of kh3 is easier, but it's probably both.

Actually, I just realized I never actually fought sephiroth on proud so I could be wrong.

I've seen some people legit say it sadly. I'd say Sephiroth and Dark Inferno are about the same honestly, but that's just me.

I think what gets me the most about the gameplay in general is that Final World and the dive through worlds should have been longer. It should have been a 15-20 level ride through the entire worlds or half of them for a second act to the game to help maybe spread out the story and gameplay a little bit more.

While I find their scenes cute and the ending ultimately bittersweet for her, especially while everyone else is having fun, I still always felt that in general Riku and her were more tied by destiny and generally around each other and Riku seemed to care more about her in general than Sora.

I would really like a mode to play as the other character's and their movesets like Riku/Aqua. I'd really like to see what Kairi is capable of with her Holy and Ghost Drive Dodge.

Not really, the ending definitely felt like an actual climax. The problem is that it felt like there was a midpoint to this game that was just removed. Remember how KH2 had a super hype midpoint where hollow bastion gets attacked and you learn all these things about xehanort and xemnas? KH3 doesn't have that, you just go to the world that never was instead. The game just needed to be paced better as everyone has said already. Saving Aqua and Ven should've been the mid game.

I mean everything before the finale felt like setup for a second half that never came.
