Every aternos server I've used has had lag issues even with only a few players

we've got 5 players online so far, yes it's an aternos server and it's running ok but if someone with a good computer wants to host I would be fine with migrating the game files to you

Yeah, its pretty disappointing. No reason not to play though, if you get the Java version you can determine which version you play, just stick to the beta for the better world gen. Alternatively I'm sure theres mods to implement the old world gen, or something similar at least.

Amplified is fun for a while but when EVERYWHERE is extremely wacky and vertical, it's no longer special. Most of the fun was traveling through normal lands for a while before finding some rare and truly special terrain generation.

Download the mod for "Lost City" world generation you will fucking love it. It has random spawning giant abandoned cities fit with giant buildings and overgrown architecture.

Its not bad, but if you want a more organic look try to not have everything so flat, maybe build on a hill and terraform a bit less strictly, leave some smooth hills to add some vertical to your base. Also experiment with non-square buildings, look up a circle chart its pretty easy to do.

Sure you can hide them under lava for extra xray protection but meh couldn't be bothered. IMO you either go to the lowest ground point in the game and build in the sky or you make a hole in the ocean beyond render distance. No chests, furnaces only. Heck use multi account logouts to store items safely.

Some of the most fun I've had gaming in the past several years was playing Minecraft with the pixelmon mod on /vp/ as layered in autism as that sounds.
Felt close to a true Pokemon mmo that everyone always pined for.
