A lot of languages have Th letters or combine a T and an H. It's a pretty common sound actually, you likely have an equivalent too, you just don't hear it as much. That's not how Japanese translations work. Japanese has no native "th" sound and ス is very commonly used in it's place but it can be translated as "s" "su" or "th". In many cases you have to look into the origin of the name or word if possible. That all being said if Aerith is what SE officially says the translation is that's what I'm going with but Aeris was always a valid translation, the localization team should have either done more research or better yet ask the fucking Japs or made the game.

Lost Number is still probably in. I'd be more worried the "second half" of the boss fight will be cut or simplified.
