I really don't like that Pokemon transitioned to 3D.
The models are fucking awful, the colors just don't look good, and it's just ugly to look at.
I hope this doesn't come across as a nostalgia wank, but it just doesn't feel right without the grid movement 2D sprite overworld that it previously had.

My first Pokemon game was Silver and I think B2/W2 are the best games they did, they really felt like a send off to an era of Pokemon. I'm glad I got to experience the online functionality of that game as it really was fantastic.

How do you copy and paste the same gameplay for years but still manage to fuck up the overall quality as they come out? The 3D games could have been as good as Colluseeum and even better but they somehow managed to screw that up. I have no faith in gen 8 at this point.

The team that he sent it to managed to match the back sprites to previously leaked photos of front sprites.
