>Comp Tf2
Quite literally the only thing that's a bigger joke then comp Overwatch.

>comp tf2

I try the Valve comp occasionally but
1) I'm awful
2) It's awful. You lose immediately if you don't have 3 tanks/ 2 supports/ 1 scout, no engineers ever unless it's payload and it's usually the boring 5 point CP mode, no spies, snipers only for the extremely skilled
Meta is basically LOL styled "if at any point we have less guys alive than them run away"
What a boring way to play a great game. Unironically just play Overwatch. At least it was designed for that.

This.
Overwatch isn't a very good game and is not suitable for comp but it was at the very least designed around a 6v6 format which is more then can be said for TF2.

>need 3 tanks and 2 supports to do anything
Demos, Soldiers, Scouts, Snipers, and the odd Spy can make quick work of any tank granted they're not braindead retarded

Competitive TF2 is a forced meme in the most literal sense, the game was built from the ground up to be fun and engaging, not a super srs tryhard circlejerk where everything must either conform to the meta or be thrown on the blacklist. The competitive TF2 scene should have no bearing on the game's development, and Valve's consideration of it has brought nothing but harm.

>Meet Your Match
Still the worst update

>really want to play comp tf2
>valve comp sucks dick
>too autistic to join a team or something

oh well guess i'll just go back to destroying dm servers

fuck comp
pub or gtfo

>Meet your Match was 3 years ago
>3 years of Casual mode
>mfw forced to watch everything i enjoyed about TF2 burn to ashes
i've lost count of how many friends I lost due to the community servers shutting down. I hope they haven't forgotten about all the fun times.

I played 6s for a while. It was pretty fun and a good change of pace from stomping pubs full of baddies, but I don't think I could stand playing in it without at least half of the team being composed of friends.

imagine being this bad lol

>imagine playing a game with crits seriously

Comp/Meet your Match genuinely killed TF2

6s doesnt have crits so you can play seriously, user

>Imagine playing a game where only one game mode is every used, 4 of the 9 classes are ever used, half of the weapons are banned and 10 years of balancing don't remotely reflect the type of game they want to play
As someone who used to be open of the idea, TF2 was not built to be a comp focused game and it's far to late to start now.

The game doesn't under a comp mind without fundamentally restricting and altering things to the point it barely resembles the actual game itself and even then its stupidly flawed with a gamemode that is built around stalemates and cheesing.

You're best hope of a well made official Valve TF game is if they were to make TF3, which is never going to happen.

I've played every mode there is.

MGE (tournaments)
Ultiduo (tournaments)
Basketball (with friends, for fun)
4 vs 4 (first in UGC season 7)
6 vs 6 (first in UGC season 12)
7 vs 7 (first in RGL's second One Day Cup plus season 4)
Highlander (first in UGC season 16)
Valve's competitive (since beta)

4s (as a meme) and HL (as a sub) are the only two I play now because of my busy schedule.

bump

>i finally get a decent computer that can run TF2 at a decent FPS
>the game is pretty much dead now

I'm not seeing Ready Steady Pan on there.

It's still top 10 played on Steam. It ain't dead just stagnated and you'll never experience the old days of absolute hype shit like Sniper Vs. Spy or MvM created.

Huntsman bois roll up

Post your kills

That's the problem. I played the 360 version back in the day, but when I started to see how much stuff was in the PC version I started to stop playing it.

You got me on that one. I've subbed season 4 of RSP but never played in any matches.

how do I get good with the huntsman?

You just gotta be smart and do guided aiming with your targets

For best results heavies are fun to pick off of as well as other snipers and pyros

>tf2
>tanks

Spam arrows into chokepoints at head height like every other huntsman shitter.
