Make it yourself if you hate it.

>TFW their are people out there that want to get into a game series fandom but they don't want to buy/pirate the games and play them. They look up the plot on wikipedia/youtube to get in on the "geek talk" and join the community while pretending their fans who know more than people who have actually played the games

it hurts bros...

>neither one is good

>searches for a wiki
You only have yourself to blame.

if it hurts to know how some people waste their time then you seriously need to reconsider parts of your life

I was staggered by how much of the Nier: Automata wikia was a stub given how huge the game got.
I'm guessing the game got "meme" huge since even the wikia is mostly stubbed 2 years later.
A shame since it was such a wonderful game. It deserves those stubs expanded.

>wiki is so bad that your forced to use reddit for lookups and inadvertently turn yourself into a reddit fag

This never happens. Nice job exposing yourself.

>two wikias
>varying quality, cannot establish the best one

this is what ultimately killed all hobbies.
>spent years trying to beat games on my own, looking up info, interviews, obscure romhacks everything i could find
>some faggot did a youtube video with half of its facts wrong and people constantly quote him pretending to be smart and ruining all conversations

Lol I do that to shit post on those games.

>browse wiki to find what the fuck that stupid item does because this stupid fucking game cares more about funny description than useful information
>get spammed with million fucking "and here is why it's a good thing" and est. articles
>get spammed with 2 fucking videos at once about some trivial bullshit with some cunt narrating
Suck my dick wikia

>wiki is very detailed, high quality, great humor and has almost no bad traits
The Transformers Wikia is one of the best wikis I’ve ever seen, and one of the best autistic ones

pwove it

I hate it personally. Loads of info yes but feels like reading ED pages.

>being this low IQ
Dont forget to RnS

>Look up wiki for a game
>It's an fextralife page
>No content, empty pages all over
At that point, using Reddit for ressources is unironically based and much better.

>really like silent hill 1-3, 4 was okay
>there is a "book" written by some "fan" claiming that every silent hill post 4 is a canon
>"go read that book before trying to say that homecoming is dogshit"

This and the Sonic wiki are the TV tropes of all fandom wikis. Trying to understand every angle of those franchises is the internet equivalent of the Odessey.

This. Gaming has become a trend where everyone wants to be in on the references and talking points so they feel included. The marketing of games fosters this and the amount of people who buy games and don't play them is a symptom of this. I once talked to a person who said that the best/most important part of reading comics was getting all the references people say. It wasn't the enjoyment of the plot, characters, or learning the lore. The best part was understanding references others spew. People will read the wikipedia articles and youtube videos and pretend to know what is going on so they can be part of a group or discussion. The discussion should be the icing on the cake while the game is where the meat of your enjoyment comes from. Somehow, this got switched around and I don't truly understand why.
