THIS IS A FUCKING VIDEO
I got burnt out on SFV after the lackluster end of the 3rd season with no real info on the 4th. then they slashed the FM payouts yet again. Fuck that game, at least for the time being.
Been playing a bit of KOF14 lately, MVC2 as always. For Honor is pretty much nothing but dueling, but i wouldnt count it as a real fightan game.
they're boring
They're fun only for the first few matches.
>Yea Forums playing fighting games
They got too complicated for me along with slow reaction time and hand eye coordination. I don't mind playing most fighting games pre-Street Fighter 3 and some of the simpler 3D stuff, but I pretty much gave up after I kept getting wrekt to other players in arcades in the early 2000's.
There has been some attempts as of late with friends and randoms + sales on some games, but even the friends just turned into frothing messes and obsessions talking about their fight sticks and the latest tourney.
how do I get a toned, feminine, stomach?
Because I'm lonely and horny
is skullgirls good? theres a bundle on sale for it
if you like anime fighters and tag fighters, it's great. learning curve is pretty fucking huge at this point though.
Never really played them growing up and I only ever play some MK when a frend brings it over. Is Street Fighter collection worth it? I figure SF is a good place to start
I've been playing fighting games for maybe 20 years. The problem is that there was no scene in those days, so I would play with friends, beat everybody, and drop it after there was no competition, rinse and repeat, until I burned out. Now with the glory of online, something I didn't jump into until recently there's often takers, but they're either noobs or gods of war, there is no inbetween. It's a special kind of hell.
You need to be a girl, for one.
I’ve never really played any to begin with.
Where’s a good place to start?
ive never played either of those types of fighters
Anyone /bluku/ here?
Online anxiety.
just post more of this slut already OP
I do, I also enjoy customizing my arcade sticks.
bad taste
the community is fucking atrocious, regardless of the game. their answer to literal broken matchmaking or poor fighter balance is insulting the newer players and making sure to weed them out of their already sub-200 player count game
You should donate to her patreon if you want that
>patreon
no way fag
Is there really any reason to mask these threads as anything more than just a circlejerk over fighting game girls and wallowing in your shared laments at how bad you are?
To avoid talking about fighting games in /vg/
What's the difference between sniffposting here and on /vg/?
If it's originally an anime or VN I liked watching/reading then hell yeah I'll play it. If the source material is fighting games then that's pretty boring.
There’s no tripfags here
scrub
Just buy it. Big Band alone is worth the money.
>Dies Irae poster
I'm not surprised at the content of your post either
I was going to go to the arcade today but I didn't want to actually enter the tournament and the boomers would have given me endless shit over it so I just lied and said I was busy
dam, those armbands and uniforms remind me of the nazis
Sourc3 pls
Pls at least post patreon
Post great fighting game moments
Because they are
I don't have any friends that play fighting games. I don't want to make internet friends with people in order to play fighting games. And losing against online randoms 100 times in a row (because I am bad and lack the motivation to improve) makes me impossibly angry.
I've given up on most PVP at this point, the only online competitive multiplayer game I've put more than a handful of hours into any time recently (the last few months) has been for honor.
Playing Dragon Ball FighterZ
Dies Irae is the Evangelion of anime.
what???
Just look up serinide, there’s probably some leaked stuff as well
I genuinely think I might be barred from playing fighting games online due to my dorm room internet. 80% of matches in Smash have a huge amount if input delay, and I get unexplained connection errors in GG and UNIELST all the time so that matches can't start. It sucks getting filtered out of a genre before you can even begin.
>Dorm room internet
>Where literally every person is on their phones and laptops streaming
What did you expect, user. Unless you're at some dorm with some notably decent internet that still runs well despite hundreds of people mooching off of it, shared internet connections never turn out well.
Yeah, it was silly of me to expect better I suppose. I just don't know how else I can play these games now other than aggressively look around for other people who might be into them. Someone told me I could start a scene, but I don't see that happening out of nowhere for an anime fighter.
I bought it just this week, really enjoy it. The tutorial has been helpful and currently practicing some combos, plan to actually try fighting someone soon.
I want to. But I don't have the attention span to sit in practice mode learning combos and tech and all the stuff required to be good at fighting games.
Because I don't want to end up on Scrubquotes.
thothub.tv
yiff.party
there you go anons :)
>yiff
I ain’t clicking that link nigga
Because i'm bad.
Yeah, this. I downloaded the DOA6 demo and got as far as opening up the training room, picking a character and realising that I'd need to learn a shit ton of moves to play at any level where I could enjoy myself, and I quit and deleted the demo.
Anyone playing FEXL? I finally picked it up on ps4 and I'm thinking sticking with Rosso and Shadowgeist.
>yiff.party
No thanks m8, you can keep it.
Because I'm watching a tournament
twitch.tv
i don't blame you, but it's literally just patreon dropbox links. no furry stuff unless you go outside that page
WHY ISNT SHE SITTING ON MY FACE RIGHT NOW
It’s so hard to get used to that games play style. Like how you need to run into combos to carry momentum or else your strings can’t go on for long. Very odd. Cool though.
>expecting me to give money to some random bitch for doing dressup
no, i'm expecting you to NOT give her money, which is why i linked you free shit lol
I want to because of the hot grills but I don't find fighting games fun to be honest.
I downloaded the DOA6 demo and the first match online the guy I was playing juggled me for all three rounds and I couldn't do anything. I'm very bad and the time commitment fighting games require to become passable isn't something I want to do.
Be a girl.
yiff.party is mostly useless for patreon thots since they tend not to post links to pictures in patreon posts
I do, I play tons of Melee
That's not a fighting game bro
I play them regularly but I'm pretty fucking terrible so I just play them when I feel particularly autistic (that happens fairly often). On top of that I mostly like games that don't have a very active community anymore.
post some josies
I do
I playing fighting games 5 days out of 7, what more do you fucking want from me
lol nobody plays melee
Because it takes way too much time yet i would still suck
I'm coming from a lot of experience in Guilty Gear so it'll be interesting. That said, I like how simplistic it seems, and it should be easier to get friends into it IRL, instead of trying to teach them a whole truckload of mechanics right from the get go. Gougi decks also seem like a fun way to keep things interesting, sorta like the CvSNK2 grooves.
why's it in EVO?
based retard
Easy milfs between the sets of actual fighters
i bought it, pretty cool game. really like this peacock character so far.
Because i don't like SFV, can't get over the speed of anime fighters, and am too lazy to learn several characters for games like KoF or Marvel
tekken bro
let's go
Because mobas are more popular and net more $$$ as esport
But melee has the higher skill ceiling
still not a fighting game buddy.
>muh evo
mario kart was at evo, i guess that is a fighting game now then
Fighting games are best played with a group of friends in the same room. Also when you lose pass the controller bitch you lost.
She's the zoner of the game, learn to throw out as much garbage as possible and you'll be good to go. Some other good characters to look into at tbe start are Filia, Cerebella, Big Band, and Fukua though really just play whoever you like. One really nice aspect of Skullgirls us the balance, there is genuinely no character who is too weak to use in compeitive play so despite the small roster there is great variety in characters.
hey man, so long as you use that deodorant I'll say that melee has the highest skill of all ceilings lmao
The entire point of the game is to fight and beat your opponent
I want some anus peak
tfw trying to learn to cancel in tekken 7 eliza's back 4 into a shoryuken. Shit is hard yo.
To be fair that's basically most games.
Not him but personally I never cared about the debate. I feel like more then anything FGCfags look down on smash because of the annoying fanbase and elitism.
I love fighting games, but the ones I really wanna play at any given moment are dead as fuck, and I'm too lazy to go through discord shit just to find a few s̶h̶a̶r̶k̶s̶ people to play with. Maybe one day when I stop being shy.
i wish someone had her 2b set from a few months ago :(
the fuck is this webm
ok got it thanks man
Because almost everyone I used to play them against has moved on and fighting games SUCK nowadays.
They look down on it out of a sense of jealousy that they mask as elitism. It's too hard to admit a Nintendo game from 2001 is the best fighter ever made so instead they simply pretend it's not a fighter in the first place. I can't really blame them for it tbqh
Sniffposting is 60% of fighting game activity on Yea Forums
I'll do...Soul Calibur VI isnt looking bad at all.
When Animal Planet was good
sticc, get that literal twig out of my sight holy shit
If you haven't I really suggest the tutorial section. It's helpful for starting out. Also you have a tutorial for each characters on how to use their special moves so that might help you figure out who you like to compose a team with.
>is the best fighter ever made
As I said, the annoying fanbase is the main reason.
Mobas have always been my thing, specifically league of legends. I wish fighting games gave me the same fun and enjoyment as mobas do, i'd switch to them so quickly.
i definitely will. just wanted to jump into training for a min or two just to muck around. i'll go into the tutorial portion a little bit later after i eat and really sit down and learn.
Truth hurts?
same girl btw
Went back into SFV yesterday after being a way for a long time and got my ass handed to me.
I didn't walk away mad, just confused.
What exactly was I supposed to do?
It's hard to gauge improvement. Things like reaction and timing seem difficult to sharpen.
I seem to always miss meaties. I need like 2+ hits to confirm things. It's rough.
Is there any way to improve if you are an autistic faggot that doesn't play online?
I have some fighting games on an emulator and Skullgirls collecting dust in my steam library.
Which one would you recommend as a good starting point between these?:
-Soul Calibur 2
-Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo
-Skullgirls
-Vampire Hunter 2: DR
I like both 2D and 3D but I'm not particularly good at either, any advice?
One last thing, once you feel comfortable enough to try fighting people look into the "Get Gr8" discord of the game. It's designed for newcomers and low level players to be able to find people of appropiate skill levels to play.
Good luck user.
alright. thanks again for your help man
Usually it's too fast or the inputs are too complex for me to consistently pull off and enjoy. They look fun, though.
>Is there any way to improve if you are an autistic faggot that doesn't play online?
user, this is like asking "can I learn an instrument while never playing it". You play and get better. If you lost a hundred times in a row to the same guy you suck it up and keep going.
Of the games you listed only ST and SG really have active communities. ST can be fun but it's a pretty counterpick heavy which can be intimidating. SG is pretty good for a beginner I feel though, try playing the tutorials and see how much you like it still.
They don't represent my core values.
>Is there any way to improve if you are an autistic faggot that doesn't play online?
Have someone to fight against offline. Ironically enough you'd have to be another tier of autistic to be able to get good at fighting games without anyone to play against.
>Went from orbiting high elo players in lolg to full on roastie patreon thot pretending to be single
oof
la goblina...
Because its a dead end genre and half of them are kept alive solely by fanservice, and there are plenty of better ways to fap.
Because I don't like being stuck in combos where I can't do anything
break out of them then
I'm terrible at them. Attempted to get good at them (make them my main timesink) on and off from 2009 to 2015. Tried SF4, SF3, Vampire Saviour, Super Turbo, ST HD Remix, Injustice, and so many others but I could never stick to it. Always got frustrated after hours and hours in training saw me still get absolutely raped online. Every move stuffed, every attempt at an attack swatted away. I just don't have the manual dexterity and needed to accept that.
Also I became an adult with a real job and my own place and all that so it's really hard to devote the time to getting skilled at FGs. So I love the idea of fighting games, they're everything I want in a game: short rounds so I can fit in a few on a busy day, fast paced, skill based and not about finding better equipment or buying advantages, vs other people, and they have a lot of potential to be played for months at a time. But I just can't do it.
>no local scenes outside of smash and kof
>japan can not make netcode for life so online is fucking shit
fightcade and skullgirls is the only shit i can play but god why is not ggpo the standard ?
True, but if I'm going against a very skilled player who knows exactly what to do and when to do it, it's hard not to become their punching bag for the entire match
this is pretty disappointing desu
I'm really feeling DOA, last time I had this much fun with a fighting game was Tekken 7's first few months
it is pretty offputting yea
At least fighting games are still fun when it's a match between two people around the same skill level. I only really play like 2, but I still have Guilty Gear Xrd on my steam and I havent touched it that much so I should give it a shot
Way too fat to pull off 2B. This is borderline offensive honestly.
You really don't depending on the character and game you may only need 15 or 20 moves and the rest are just variations or only used in special situations.
They require more practice/dedication than I want to commit to get gud. Also, ever since Honey Select came out I don't have to play a fighting game to see my favorite fighting game girls anymore.
