Gen 2 is still boomer territory so I don't know why you don't like it.

Whoa no way Pokemon will have another gen? Who could have predicted this?

>Platinum Fuck Platinum. >buy pearl >not even two months passes >Look at this new and exciting product! Pokemon Platinum! Fuck all of you losers that wasted your money but most of all your time on an inferior shit version of the game! Even worse considering >black and white are released >decide that enough is enough and to not be fooled into an inferior version again >wait >wait >pokemon grey never came >didn't want to buy black and white 2 due to not having played black and white 1, but black and white were already old at this point and felt like shit in comparison so it was like the boat had already passed >x and y is released >wait >wait >pokemon z never came >missed out on x and y too Then lastly >sun and moon are released >decide that enough is enough again and that I don't want to miss yet another pokemon generation >get pokemon sun >pokemon ultra sun is released What the fuck? Fuck.
A game where you can visit all the regions would be great on the switch. The instrumental songs are really nice. Sorry for trying to be optimistic and say nice things about this. I know people come to shitpost but that was actually wholesome for me
I think its more likely we will see those as dlc expansions for let's go pikachu and evee. or at least i hope so.
Julian Lee
Why would they do DLC when they can just make a new game that's guaranteed to print at least 5 million in sales?
Ethan Nelson
Oh no! I didn't even think about this. Now thats a grim view for the future. I was just hoping we are done with that game for this year. I know Matsuda won't let us forget how right he was and how wrong people actually buying Pokemon games are but to start pissing in our faces this soon? That really makes me feel bad
Oliver Garcia
The peak was GSC. Every since they've been releasing polished versions of the game. They have barely changed ever since.
Luis Martinez
Why do you idiots still follow Pokemon? It's never going to change. It's one of the few things that actively despises you for following it. It's supposed to be for kids, user.
Graduate to a real JRPG.
Lucas Morales
>Trouble in trumpet town >Good Nice try. Kanto, Johto, Unova are the only good regions.
Gavin Lee
I absolutely couldn't get into that game, just playing it with a single joycon is alienating. If it has portable controls for the switch, why the hell can't we play with the same scheme on the pro controller?
Jacob Long
It will likely be a combination of both if i had to guess.
Andrew Thomas
GSC was the peak of the series, you can not prove me wrong
Connor Morales
People can like 2 things user

>Gen 8 to continue the trend of Gamefreak being shit >Lets Go did well because damn near anything does well if you slap a Pokemon sticker on the title, leaving the potential for Go shit to be integrated into the main series. >Eventual Sinnoh remakes bound to be just D/P remakes with Gamefreak taking no notes at all on what made Platinum good and the far superior game to D/P (literally just port the fucking dex and I'd be satisfied, desu. Some new megas would be cool. Fuck Z-Moves) >New Ranger never-ever, series dropped off the face of the earth post-Guardian Signs
At this point I only bother with the series because of my huge childhood nostalgia boner for it. Things aren't looking too good, but we all fucking know I'll happily eat whatever Gamefreak shits out in the hopes it's somewhat decent.
I think Gen 4 was where it peaked, but BW2 are still pretty good and clear steps up from B/W. It's just that, well, B/W 1 weren't so good. They weren't hot-dog shit, but...yeah. Scolipede's some good shit my dudes
Alola was great. Thought it was the first game to have a setting that actually genuinely felt like whatever it was supposed to represent. Loved story elements too. It wasn't deep or anything like that but was surprisingly entertaining and engaging. It also has the biggest amount of best girls in the series.
I've played every single gen besides 1 and B&W games and I genuinely love Alola the most.
Also the anime is great too, first time I was actually able to watch pokemon in years.
I..don't...what? This is bait isn't it? I hope is bait. the only good part about the alola games were the girls, that's it. everything else was trash I can't comprehend how people can defend those games.
Alola is weird, it made it linear for the sake of story and it's story is alright but goes too slow for its own good. The remastered version also does nothing to fix this. As a gen it's really hit or miss
Joseph Hill
The anime's definitely the highlight. And you know, proper region theming.
Juan Howard
>didn't play BW2 >thinks Gen 7 is the best checks out, atleast you're not sucking kantocock
It was the first game besides B&W to have actual comprehensive story with character development and shit. - FACT Had a shit ton of QoL improvements that make other games almost unplayable. - FACT
Alola may not be the best gen relative to how impressive each title was during it's release period but it sure as hell is the best game overall right now.
>comprehensive story Platinum exists and the only character development is Lilie's shitty mommy issues. >Had a shit ton of QoL improvements that make other games almost unplayable Even X&Y were better at IV/EVs management shit and has no content unlike B/W 2, platinum or HG/SS, not even talking about the forced plot and handholding shit with LOTS of cutscenes. forward 2 steps back. Sasuga Taimin avatarfag with shitty tastes.
Ethan Bailey
>tfw loved Let's Go and thought it was a breath of fresh air for the series and the best game since BW2 >Despite hating Gen 1 and thinking Kanto is a boring region >easily put over 100 hours because of how fun Wifi battling was due to the simplicity of it after each gen's wifi battles were centered on a gimmick (Gen 5 weather and genies, gen 6 megas, gen 7 tapus and z-moves) >only stopped when non-hackers got access to Melmettle due to him being on every team and being difficult to take down using a majority of the Kanto Dex >tfw cautiously optimistic for Gen 8 after playing Let's Go instead of dreading for the worst after Alola
At best you're getting a lazy Gen 6 or 7 engine rehash with bad performance yet perplexingly marginal graphical upgrades from 3DS. At worst you're getting a lazy LGBT engine rehash.
Either way, expect Game Freak to prattle on about what a giant ambitious hundred-plus-man effort it was, and expect defense forcing surrounding its reveal worse than the Link's Awakening remake.
If you had any hope after LGPE, you're either an irredeemable retard and/or brand loyalist, or you're not paying attention.
Ayden Perez
The saddest part is that you can actually imagine pokemon becoming the biggest most talked about series in the world once again. All they have to do is make a good story mode and flush all old battle and stat mechanics down the toilet and conjur something semi-competitive or at least on the level of HearthStone with decent match-finding and ranking system.
>perplexingly marginal graphical upgrades from 3DS The 3ds graphics problem is the 3ds renders it at 240p, unless the trainers look like shit it'll just be an improvement being on an actual console
When will you fuckers understand that Pokémon was always a mediocre series kept afloat by nostalgia and the only time the games were any good was towards the end of the DS era, as well as Colosseum and Gale of Darkness.
Tyler Davis
>all these faggots who don't know what this is from Thanks OP I jacked off.

>When will you fuckers understand that Pokémon was always a mediocre series kept afloat by nostalgia but how does that work in gen 1

>post 2 Imagine still buying and playing Pokémon games after Gen 2
Cooper Rivera
Well yeah, the series peaked at Gen V.
Parker Foster
That's cool that you enjoyed Let's GO, personally I was not interested since I want Gen 8.
I agree with you. Let's Go were much better than the 3DS games ,and it actually looked like they listened to some complaints since they even added a "skip" button, something I thought they'd never do.
