Pac-Maze and Rainbow road are literally rhe only ones there i'll miss. The rest can fuck off and Poke Floats was never good.

Why the fuck did they remove Pac Maze

They didnt remove it. They just didnt include it.

I think Sector Z, for the aesthetic that the other SF stages fail to capture, and Jungle Hijinxs, if only because it was so unique.

Poke Floats and Mute City, not even close.
both the Flat Zones were pretty good too

You know what i meant

Orbital Gate Assualt was good on paper

Feel like I'm taking crazy pills when someone mentioned they miss pac-maze. That stage was shit.

Poke Floats is the only map I miss from the bunch. Maybe picto chat since I feel like picto chat 2 has way more annoying shit in it.

It was better than Pac-Land at least

>Planet Zebes
Pretty much covered by Brinstar
>Sector Z
Pretty much covered by Corneria

>Flat Zone
Flat Zone X is in
>Icicle Mountain
Thank God it's gone
>Mushroom Kingdom
Mushroom Kingdom from SSB64 covers this one
>Mute City
Yeah, kinda sad, but we already have a Mute City, though it's an inferior one.
>Poke Floats
Thank God. Easily the 2nd worst stage ever

>Flat Zone 2
Flat Zone X
>Picto Chat
Picto Chat 2
>Mushroomy Kingdom 1-2
No big deal. If you want a sidescrolling Mario stage, there's still 3D Land
>Rumble Falls
Worst Smash stage ever.

>Pac-Maze
Only real loss here.
>Rainbow Road
Odd that they didn't include this stage

>Jungle Hijinx
This is another stage I'm surprised they didn't include. Probably the best DK stage that isn't Rumble Falls.
>Miiverse
RIP
>Orbital Gate Assaul
>Pyrosphere
Shitty stages
>Woolly World
I'm surprised they added Crafted Yoshi and took out the Woolly World stage. With WW's fantastic soundtrack, I'm surprised there aren't more songs in Smash. youtube.com/watch?v=Jrp0uposySU would fit perfectly

SO GOOD

Attached: shiplikeanasian.jpg (500x380, 40K)

You just took that from DYKG you lazy hack

Nah, Pac-Land had better music, and the faux-2d aesthetic is still cool, even after Flatzone has done it 3 times.

Zebes and Sector Z are reduntant with Brinstar and Corneria.

I do miss Mute City, Poke Floats and Rainbow Road.

Aren’t flatzone 1 and 2 merged into flatzone x or whatever its called? I prefer 1 by a wide margin but they aren’t really absent.

How is switch hacking coming along? I know there’s some basic model replacement in botw. Stage importing in ultimate would be great.

I miss pokefloats most, but mute city and zebes are both pretty close too. Also metal cavern.

Most maps are better than Pac-land though. Rainbow Cruise and Poke floats are the only moving maps I feel get a pass.

I'm surprised they made a big fuss on working on the stage for over a year just to not include it.

There's nothing wrong with Pac-land
>Playing on non-Omega/Battlefield stages
found your problem.

I love how you call one stage shit yet mention how you miss the worst stage in the series in the same post. It's like a form of poetry

Niggers zebes has a different and better layout than brinstar. They both have lava but the stage shapes are completely different.

Sector Z ain’t as big a deal but is still like triple the size of corneria, would be good for 8 player and should’ve been easy to implement.

Never got why people hate pokefloats and OGA, god forbid there be some platforming in a platform fighter. Git gud.

Attached: FIGUR-NRML-SSBM.png (917x689, 459K)

Probably Orbital Gate Assault since that stage was pretty fun and took a long time to be made

>someone else misses how fuckin' huge sector z is

fuckin thank you, finally

>Playing on non-Omega/Battlefield stages
>found your problem.
Then you're not defending Pac land you're defending FD and Battlefield with a Pac-land skin, it doesn't excuse the stage itself.

We really don't need the stage redundancies with how many stages there are already. Some stages are still too similar, like the 64 Yoshi Story and the Melee Yoshi Story.

>Never got why people hate pokefloats and OGA, god forbid there be some platforming in a platform fighter
Because it takes away from the fighting, which is the most enjoyable part, and can lead to some really stupid and unfortunate deaths. I don't feel like tossing out homie stocks every match because my brother got cockblocked by Onix or dunked on by Lickitung. Same reason we don't use items.

Attached: 1545653341665.jpg (198x461, 53K)

homie stocking is dumb

They probably removed JH because of the cannon gimmick.

If you never played 99 stock super sudden death on poke floats then you don't know fun.

I miss sector Z if only because I feel like they shrink Corneria more and more with every new game.

I miss Sector Z. Corneria isn't as good.

Zebes is not THAT different from Brinstar. two big differences would be the small moving platform and the breakable floor.

Sizes aren't an argument because they changed most of them for Ultimate, making them much bigger. Look at Yoshi's Island from Melee.

Pokefloats is subject to a lot of camping fast Characters can flee and slow characters are physically unable to catch them. Like, I enjoyed Pokefloats a lot but I do see why it's disliked.

Ultimate my ass, this games has a ton of feature removed

> Stages missing
> Items and AT missing
> No Break the Targets and Home-Run Contest
> Some music are missing
> No trophies
> No masterpieces
> Cut alts, including Fire Mario
and some other things I didn't mention

Worst part is that the game has sold over 12 million copies, meaning that Sakurai probably thinks that people didn't care about these features, and will most likely not include them in future games.

Attached: Press F.jpg (765x490, 102K)

Miiverse.

>people didn't care about these features
A lot of people really don't. When you bring friends over they're not going to play break the targets or home run, they wanna smash. When streaming, not many people give a shit about watching those unless they're like those speedrun nerdfaggots. When doing tourneys, nobody is doing competitive homerun derby unless you're a nerd who is afraid to interact with others in a game.

No PokeFloats is a godddamn shame, sure its a pain to fight on but its a great visual experience.

How about we list some stages that we would like to see instead

>Planet Mira
>Dinosaur Planet
>Sand Ocean
>Ganon's Tower
>Forest Navel
>Satorl Marsh
>Wario World
>Mega Man X intro stage
>Phendrana Drifts With hazards on, it could have invisible moving platforms that you can jump through and land on, and you can only tell where they are by landing on them, or by scouting for them with things like Inklings' or Ness' projectiles.
>Sanctuary Fortess
>Tazmily Village
>King Dedede's Castle

Attached: 1385353261105.png (680x572, 1.07M)

P O K E F L O A T S

It's not even the worst of the scrolling stages. There are far worse, like Rumble Falls, Icicle Mountain, and Rainbow Cruise. But I never play on unfun stages, and the stage is great for Omega/BF

The only ones that are enjoyable that are missing are
>Elec Man
No reason to replace him
>Kat and Ana
Functionally similar to Lati@s
>Tingle
Gonna be a DLC character
>Magnus
There are already similar assist trophies.

>the only 3 ATs I wanted as playable were cut entirely
I will never not be mad.

Attached: 1525554168915.png (768x576, 362K)

>that people didn't care about these features
to be fair I do, in fact, not care about most of those
>Items
I can't recall the last time I willingly played with items on
>Break the Targets and Home-Run Contest
Definetly great minigmaes, but overall you will stop playing it once you unlock everything tied to them
>Some music are missing
game is stuffed as it is with music, give them a break. Licensing is an issue too
>No masterpieces
Does it matter when emulation exists? Did it matter back in brawl when by the time Brawl came outt you could install .wad files with injected unofficial Virtual Console Games?

>No trophies
Now this is the shit that wounds me profoundly. They haven't been handled well since melee, though. In Melee each trophy was a 3D model made from the ground up, very few trophies were ported from other games since Melee was released early in the Gamecube's life and they couldn't easily port over the previous gen's models.

Are you implying Pac-Land isn't as ugly as sin?

>Worst part is that the game has sold over 12 million copies, meaning that Sakurai probably thinks that people didn't care about these features,

>Shitty stages
>Shitty items and ATs (don't matter since no one plays with them anyways)
>Home-Run Contest
>Some music in over 800 tracks
>Trophies
>Modern Break the Targets
>Masterpieces
You're right. BTT hasn't been good since Brawl released, so I'm glad it's gone. Fire Mario being removed is a fucking travesty, though. Same with Mac's missing alts.

Attached: 1549803123604.jpg (800x1150, 486K)

No, it's a great stage. Nice bright, contrasting colors, little clutter, the cool faux-2D gimmick from the awful Flatzone stages, great music... it's one of my go to picks for Battlefield/Omega stages, along with Windy Hill Zone, Peach's Castle (Melee), Rumble Falls, Fourside and Tomodachi Life.

Attached: 1541641309558.png (737x723, 144K)

>Some stages are still too similar, like the 64 Yoshi Story and the Melee Yoshi Story

If we’re talking aesthetics then sure, but the layout in those two are really different. Platforms are at different heights and angles, the main stage is shaped differently, and the clouds are functionally different except that they’re dropthrough platforms.

>Because it takes away from the fighting, which is the most enjoyable part, and can lead to some really stupid and unfortunate deaths.

Never had this problem with my friends, we can always attack each other during the stage transitions. Granted we all play as pretty mobile characters so I guess we’re more suited to that. I like how dangerous the stage feels.

>I don't feel like tossing out homie stocks every match because my brother got cockblocked by Onix or dunked on by Lickitung. Same reason we don't use items.

Haha if one of us gets fucked like that there’s never been an obligation to throw out a stock. Biggest thing I guess is we’ve played the stage enough to know how things work and when things are coming, so there’s no sense of luck or unfairness.

>two big differences would be the small moving platform and the breakable floor.

That and platforms being totally different heights/angles/lengths. Zebes is much bigger and more suited to group fights.

>Sizes aren't an argument because they changed most of them for Ultimate, making them much bigger. Look at Yoshi's Island from Melee.

Firstly I hate that they changed stage sizes. Secondly do you know how big the size difference is between Corn and Z? Cause it’s pretty fucking huge.

>Pokefloats is subject to a lot of camping fast Characters can flee and slow characters are physically unable to catch them. Like, I enjoyed Pokefloats a lot but I do see why it's disliked.

True but only on certain layouts, camping is a much bigger issue on other stages.

Those lazy hacks might as well bring the rest of these back.

>Secondly do you know how big the size difference is between Corn and Z? Cause it’s pretty fucking huge.
So? Compare Hyrule Temple in Melee to Hyrule Temple in Ultimate. It's just as much of a difference as Corneria and Z and those are the same stage.

>Compare Hyrule Temple in Melee to Hyrule Temple in Ultimate. It's just as much of a difference as Corneria and Z

Literally nowhere close to as big of a difference.

actual brainlet opinion

>Ganon's Tower
>Wario World
>Dedede'sCastle

Nice choices user.

I just want villains other than Ridley to have their own stages. Even Bowser doesn't have his own castle.

>awful Flatzone stages

Attached: 1519839204595.jpg (485x230, 29K)

The moment I see revived pokéfloats you better believe I'm instabuying that shit.

>defending pacland AT ALL
>thinking pacland represents pacman better than pac maze

Attached: 1550808593464.jpg (334x393, 19K)

>Even Bowser doesn't have his own castle.
Shit, you're technically correct regarding Bowser. The best kind of correct.

>No Bowser stage where sections can disappear after hitting an ax.
>No Bowser stage that transitions between various past Bowser levels.
Sadness covers me like a blanket.

pac-maze rainbow road and pokefloats

Kinda bothers me how safe the stage picks are in Smash, they are always the first area of whatever game. There's like 6 different Mario stages that are just a variant of green grassy field. That's kinda why I like the Great Bay stage from Zelda, since it's not one of those for once.

>no SMB3 airship level

This is a big annoyance for me as well. It doesn’t always need to be the first level of a game, those are always the least interesting. There’s too many ‘plain grassy field area’ stages, it really doesn’t make anyone go ‘oh yeah I remember that part of the game it was awesome’ when you just show a generic world 1 aesthetic.

I know windy hill for sonic in 4 was a shill pick but I still wish we could’ve gotten casinopolis or a factory zone, or just something besides green hill 2.

A-at least we got the music b-bro

Planet Zebes. Loved it in 64, was total shit in Melee.
