I'm a huge weeb who mostly plays JRPGs and there are no JRPGs for vr
Hell, the only game that's even close to what I'd play despite not being a jrpg is borderlands 2 vr but I don't have psvr so that's a no-go.
The only game I have more than like an hour in that's vr is compound.

Neptunia VIIR.
You should get some taste though.

>Neptune's viir
Doesn't that only have some weird extra mode that's vr, and the main game is the same old 3rd person Neptunia shit

Oh that's true, I do wonder how Japan will fit into the VR scene.
There's a lot of room for innovation outside of action games but it hasn't been explored to nearly the same extent.

So many dungeon crawlers and not a single one with any depth or longevity.

Have you tried Dead Effect 2?

Interesting but not anime enough
I'll have to give it a try either way

Is there at least one VR game that doesn't look like the most boring piece of shit in existence?

no

There's a few neat ones, but you're hard pressed until someone makes a game for VR.

If Bandai Namco is smart they’ll call up CyberConnect and tell them to make an actual .Hack VR MMO.

Beat Saber.

No, but they're all fun as fuck to actually play.

It's not anime at all but it's a loot shooter with a fair amount of content
There's also the ZOE2 VR port

It's hard to invest time and budget into a medium that's still evolving. Just as motion controllers and roomscale are becoming standard, we'll have eye and finger tracking coming in the next gen. Possibly Kinect-style body tracking on Oculus too.

Games seem to strike a balance between having good interaction with the controllers or more content. Hence the best examples of VR being 'tech demos'. (Which I think is silly, since so many classic non-vr titles are just as short)

Well said.
