punch does 30 and you start with 100 health 0 armor. Drop in skulltown or the swamps. those have a lot of loot generating spots so its pretty decent chance you get a waepon.
The problem in general is that if you drop in a hotspot you cacn get in a situation where you have no weapon or a shit weapon adn have to fight, but if you drop in a corner you can get good loot but you have to run for 5 minutes to find someone to shoot. And because people drop randomly its not like you cna always find a sweetspot with a few enemies but also decent enough loot.
the looting taking time is just a BR thing, if you dont like it then its not your genre. Hell, AL is pretty decent in how fast you can get into action and with the revive system you cna keep going even if you get gunned down, meaning your looting wasnt for nothing.

get a few friends, there are enough avenues where you can look for a group.
you mean grenades? terrible early on as they eat inventory space, but later they are really good to hit someone in a house, or if someone is downed you can toss grenades at them. Grenades are really something you have to learn to appreciate.
