Hugely, it's why I had to buy a console and stop playing PC games as fucking retarded as that sounds. If I play shit on my PC I just alt tab every two minutes because I'm scared of missing something even though I hate this place. At least when I'm playing on a console I can shut my PC down and not have the temptation to refresh the catalog.

Internet in general did this to me back in highschool. I spent more time on Facebook/digg back in 2009 than I did playing games. I fucking hated it but i couldn't stop myself. Yea Forums came freshman year of college in 2011, actually got me playing MORE games again because of all the unironic love for games i would have never played, like Warband

I only browse Yea Forums when I'm waiting for something and don't feel like getting on the Kindle app. It's a silly place to check out every once in a while. The meme spamming and constant BASED or REDPILLED BLUEPILLED shit has really taken this place farther downhill than I imagined it could get. Dubs was bad but it's almost impossible to hold a decent conversation on Yea Forums now.
I still play lots of vidya. Completed more games in the last 2 years than the 5 years before that. This new traveling job/working from home gives me lots of times to relax and play on PC, PS4, Vita or 3DS.
