Ryu definitely hits harder, but Ken’s shoryuken is so satisfying to land. I think I’m a little better with Ryu cause I’m used to his input commands and playing him in 4. Ken’s input commands are still the same and not hard to pull off, but it’s all a matter of when and how to use his kicks. It’s still taking me a little to get used to playing Ken, but both characters are good fun nonetheless.

I'd write a simple story where Bowser, Ganon, Ridley and Rool and some other villains just team up and take over Smash world with the power of some crystals that have been scattered around or some other artifact.
For the sake of a bigger team, Wolf, Wario and Mewtwo get villain status.
You then progress through levels like SSE and fight one of the villains every now and then.

Truth be told, I'm not really sure why I picked them up back in 4 either. They've got this strangely unique moveset that I can't get from other characters, if I use Samus for the Charge Shot then I miss out on the not-Arcfire and A attacks, and if I use Falcon I have to get used to his taller proportions and completely different moveset despite both being fast, (almost in Brawler's case) no projectile characters.
Great taste in using Olimar. Loved Pikmin, but I could never figure out his playstyle.

Wii Fit is a fun character to fuck around with as a secondary that I picked up in Sm4sh, and I was super excited for Pokemon Trainer's return in Ult and have been practicing her too. I love fighting against regular Links. It's actually fun to avoid his bomb and you know it's your own fault when you get hit. For Young Link, you're just fighting your own patience, so either you're extremely bored when you win or you get impatient and lose. I've barely fought any Toon Links and can't remember how they are.

OP here. Toon Link is basically a mixture of Fire Emblem characters (having to short hop aerial to go for kills) and his other counterparts. If you're comfy with Marth/Lucina/Chrom/Roy and you wanted to try out a Zelda character, Toon Link would be an alright intro IMO.
His Dair sucks though. Either you spike 'em or you fall to your death/get punished.
With YL, I get that. He's faster than the other two Links, and arguably the best Link out of the three despite it being difficult to kill by him. (Which isn't really difficult if you know how to combo well with him.)

I've never played a sword user. I know I'm missing out on a whole portion of the game, but I just can't bring myself to play one. Whenever I fight s swordie and they win every air and ground encounter without trading because of the disjointed swords it pisses me off, and I know it's just part of the game and I have to play around it and get better but I just can't stand it. You don't have to play sword characters, although I'd suggest playing them for a while just to understand their weaknesses a little better to manipulate and use to your advantage and dropping them later.
