If Cyberpunk 2077 goes on to be a major success with a ton of copies sold, how many cyberpunk games can we expect in the future?

Hopefully a great deal. I love cyberpunk as a genre, and it's criminally under-represented in media for all the potential it has. Deus Ex was the only real notable franchise in the genre up until this point, so it's good to see sometging new.

Cyberpunk 2077 is already a major success.

And we can expect a sequel every good couple of years or so. Or they will develop other games.

Not sure, but setting genre doesn't get replicated nearly as much as gameplay genre, so it might not be as many as you'd think. I certainly hope we see more Cyberpunk games though.

>how many cyberpunk games can we expect in the future?
Genres like sci-fi and cyberpunk are extremely costly to make, so not much.

>extremely costly to make
How do you figure that?

Maybe the cost of designing and utilizing art assets?

>games can we expect in the future
who knows... based on the success of w3 maybe we will even move from the superhero movies to cyberpunk movies. Wouldnt that be something

>some fucking disgusting spic amerimutt is the main character
Fuck this bullshit. Ain't buying shit.

Maybe he's referring to the inherently complex visuals? Not sure.

Why would that be more expensive than any other kind of game genre though?

Except the game has character creation? So that's just you projecting your own bullshit.

>thinking white people will exist in 50 years

Oh, user...

You create your own character fucking pol nigger.

Imagine Star Wars without Ralph McQuarrie. It would be a shitty B-movie at best.

>how many cyberpunk games can we expect in the future?
They own the rights and there is no set storyline to Cyberpunk(it's a roleplaying setting) so ask yourself how many D&D games we got and this will be the answer to how many Cyberpunk games we get.

there are many neon rainy synthwave meme cyberpunk games coming out all the time, but what about other cyberpunk games? i hope it inspires others to use non meme sources and originality

>how many cyberpunk games can we expect in the future?
Hopefully games that are actually cyberpunk

Witcher 3 had some very good sharpening in the game by default, but Cyberpunk looks so fucking blurry, why?

None. Developers and publishers wont make Cyberpunk games cause it will be compared to CD Projects one every single time but overall it might spark an interest in making one so who knows. They will just copy some shit from it if it will be a success like quests structures, combat system and put that into their own IPs just like Ubisoft did with their recent AC games from The Witcher 3.

>how many cyberpunk games can we expect in the future?
Irrelevant question, you will have died of old age before the sequel comes out.

People say cyberpunk but what they actually want is cyber-noir

Because its screenshoot after absolute shit yt compression.

The pic in the OP is a screenshot from the Youtube video. I don't know lot about how it works, but doesn't Youtube compression fuck up the quality in general? Or maybe the game had blur turned on? I don't know.

Motion blur and youtube artefacting. I still don't understand why developers keep putting motion blur in games. First thing i do when i start a game is to go into settings and turn it off.

When the fuck has anyone in any entertainment industry been afraid of attempting to replicate or being inspired by a successful product for fear of being compared to that product?

Why is it always shitskins that make posts like these?

This game is gonna bomb like anthem

>generic fps gameplay with badly done melee slapped on
>homing bullets for casuals
>shitty textures and lighting, everything is washed out
>game looks like very watered down cyberpunk in most parts, and more like gta
>ugly female characters and ugly males too
>shit writing and acting based on awful racial stereotypes, V is basically a drunken whore
>developer says he wants to make it like a "tarantino flick" aka the buzzword for a game being a destined failure

It's over. Reileen Kawahara, over and out.
>*hops in hovercar and flies away*

Nope, i actually want Cyberpunk. That's why i love everything we've seen so far.

this. after seeing the tabletop this game is based on, trust me, cybernoir is better than cyberpunk, cyberpunk is fucking cringe as hell

Just be done with it and post your tranny already

What tranny? Those traps you jerk off to?

Post cyberpunk

I actually don't know, but for the sake of the argument, maybe because it's easier to design, model, and mo-cap real-world shit rather than aliens, robots, and sci-fi architecture?

That's the only way I could see it being more costly for video games.

>games can we expect in the future
Who knows... based on the success of ww3 I think we will become Chinese cyberpunk movies. Wouldnt that be something.

>china wins ww3
>more half asian women are born

The world will be a better place.

This isn't true, D&D is way more popular than Cyberpunk or any other rpg system. D&D is also more loose on the setting so it's easier to pump out your own game with it. Shadowrun has been made into video games too but the amount is much smaller than D&D games.

I'd be happy with scifi games set in cities overall. I've never been super thrilled about space travel and the majority of scifi games seem to be space operas of some sort.

how about a gothic themed setting instead? cyberpunk is played out. we need more games like dmc v

maybe when you play dmc 5, you wont want another dmc 5 game

>cyberpunk is played out
it literally isn't

>muh poll boogyman
