What games have you pirated then purchased at a later point? (or alternatively, what games have you bought at a later point because of pirating it)

Attached: PirateBaypadded[1].jpg (1200x800, 60K)

Most recently Hollow Knight. Pirated it and played through most of it then I purchased it and continued on the same save file. Pretty good game.

>pirating a video game
>buying that same game after finishing

This kind of people are niggers of gaming industry

I pirated Dying Light because I got a sudden, intense urge to play a zombie game and that was the newest one available that wasn't also shit. I didn't want to buy it because I'd been burnt out on zombies for a while and figured my desire for the game was a temporary thing that would quickly pass so I didn't want to waste money on it. I ended up playing for 20 hours straight and bought it the next day.

The entire STALKER series.
System Shock 2.
Most N64 and PS1 games
Counter-Strike 1.6 / CZ
DooM trilogy
Shantae games

Attached: Stalker Series Order.jpg (853x410, 179K)

I once pirated Dark Souls, liked it and decided to buy it and then got locked out of the game by Games for Windows Live because I forgot what email or user account I used to make the game then couldn't play it anymore until years later when GFWL went out of business.
I rarely buy games anymore.

FTL
Dungeons of dredmor
Dark Souls (and subsequently DaS2 and DaS3)
Xenonauts (plus 2 gifts for friends & xenonauts 2 preorder)
Binding of Isaac & all its versions/DLCs
Batman Arkham Knight
Unreal/Unreal Tournament
Carmageddon
Dragon Ball Xenoverse (and subsequently xenoverse 2)
Metro 2033 (and subsequently Last Light)
Risk of Rain (sorry agdgbro)
Star wars: Knights of the old Republic (and subsequently KoTOR2)
Dragon Age Origins
Torchlight (and subsequently Torchlight 2)

I also bought Hotline Miami 2 because of the first

Video game

WHICH video game

Looking to buy The Council soon after giving it a pirate, it's pretty good for a CYOA game

When did niggers start paying for products they already used/stole

did you play all episodes?
reviews say episode 4 & 5 are absolute garbage

reminder that the pirate bay uses your CPU to mine XMR.

Ignore the jewmaster, he's trying to shame you into buying before trying so they can get away with shit like battlefield 5 or anthem

doesn't pretty much everything stop that now?
also honestly what does it matter unless you leave open the tab, the minute it takes to get a torrent shouldn't have a big impact. Not to mention you're also likely not using that much of your CPU when looking for torrents

just wait till hiroshimoot adds it to 4chen

Nope, only the first two. I read those too, though, I hope won't be as bad as I fear it would be when I actually get around to finishing it.

one of the reviews had spoilers of what happened in the later episodes, and it sounded pretty fucking bad

>Dead Cells
>Risk of Rain
>Kingdom Come: Deliverance
>Rimworld
>Aquanox 1 & 2
>Gothic 1 & 2
>Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
>Rome Total War
>Kingom of Amalur: Reckoning (regretted buying it later)
>Flatspace IIk
>Starsector
That's roughly it. Few regrets.

I think I passed a glance at that review too, I didn't want to get too spoiled. I'll have to see for myself in the end.

Touhou
The orange box
Persona 3-4
Basically any game I own, and Still working on buying stuff I pirated and loved

Attached: b9e.png (500x500, 406K)

I don't often torrent games, so the last one was dragons dogma: dark arisen. ended up buying 4 copies.

Let me guess, one for each platform?

half life series and portal 1 and 2.

Will buy RE2 when it goes on sale.

Might buy Nier Automata if they fix the port (they won't).

The rest of the games I pirate are games that I want to play, but not badly enough that I want to spend money on them.

no, all PC. once for me, 1 for my brother and 2 for random anons on Yea Forums

Monolith

Synthetik

Both games are unironically perfect.

Usually small games/indie games, with a couple of AA/AAA games as christmas presents from a steam sale.

Metal gear solid
Harry Potter
Fifa
Crash the trilogy
Yakuza
I like getting the physical edition though

> check XMR price
> get sad

>liking game so much you buy additional copies to give away to strangers
based

yeah it's why I didn't point out any of the things it said, but yeah it's a huge shift from what it was & follows a ton of tropes
best of luck user!

it made their days for sure. And we got to trade pawns and ended up using each others for basically the entire game.

All gta's, subnautica, human revolution, civ 5, anno 2070, grid 2, l.a. noire, max payne, audiosurf, to the moon, borderlands, dying light, dead island, skyrim, mgr revengeance, stellaris, sc conviction, vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines, the witcher 1 and 2, xcom enemy unknown and much more.

I pirated left 4 dead and l4d2 and then bought them on steam after playing the multiplayer of each for 2 years on sites like garena and tunngle.
I havent pirated a game in forever. Has to be close to 10 years now.
Steam is just so convenient and cheap.
I live in the second poorest country in Europe btw.
The games im not super interested in I just get later in a sale. Theres also refunds so whatever.

I don't purchase games unless they're multiplayer online games.

Speaking of, any good direct download sites?I wanna fuck around on Darkest Dungeon but can't torrent cause not my internet.

Currently trolling my team in CS GO so hit me up here or there with info.

There are a few older games that I pirated, usually GOG installer if there is one, that I bought a physical copy off of ebay just to have a physical copy if I liked it enough. I am not willing to pay for a download license.
Arcanum is one example. Thicc manual, old standard price physical copies on PC were better than modern collector's editions yet now the industry expects me to pay for a download license, well fuck them I'll just pirate instead.

>namefag
kill yourself

Dark Souls
Dragon Age Origins
Fallout 3
Bro Force

Why?

Oh and also mount & blade warband which I got around the same time after playing it for so long.

It isn't cheap, you get nothing in return for your money. In reality, Steam has made games more expensive than ever before.

because you have no reason to post with a name or a trip here other than to be an attention seeking faggot. there is no reason for you to post in this thread, or any thread i'm sure, with a name/trip, your opinion means fuck all and it's not like you're helping someone and need the distinction so they know who you are.

I have a job, and the spare income to buy whatever games I want.
Why would I bother pirating like a poorfag?

spending money on 1 & 0's
>sensitive chuckle.gif

We get it, you're too stupid to pirate

I can tell youre just a braindead hater. Probably use gog as well to buy abandonware games.

Attached: Tripfag good.png (680x568, 348K)

leech everything. get fucked. party hard.

last game I pirated was Ace Combat 7.
Its a good game, won't buy at this price tho because 60 euros is a bit much for only 20 missions.

if i had money i would spend it on bums in the street you a-holes lol
you are all fucked in the head already. satan got you good.

Guys do you think is should pirate Jump Force? I am sorta interested.

Attached: 1534988725404.png (500x500, 143K)

I don't use GOG either since I refuse to pay for a download license. GOG is just as bad as Steam, the only brain dead people in this thread are those that pay for a download license.

MGSV, I encountered a save deletion bug, and since I have 100kbs Internet I didnt want to spend 80 hours downloading it again, I proceeded to get it physically on xbox. These updates and large file sizes have made modern gaming hell for me.

>take responsibility for your posts

I'm here to make friends dawg. Sorry you don't want any.

If you say so.
Have fun continuing to be a scumbag I guess, maybe you'll find some other excuse to justify your ego.
Just dont post your retarded shit where people can read it.

Dark Souls
Dead Cells
Hitman

Factorio was a game I played for 3 hours pirated and bought it immediately.
Fantastic game and amazing work on behalf of the team.
Many others.
I never buy a game unless I've played it.

ATOM RPG
pirated it thinking it's gonna be some shitty indie game, 15 hours in I decided to buy it because I haven't played a game this good in forever
devs definitiely deserve the money

Attached: capsule_616x353.jpg (616x353, 75K)

In the last 10 years I've bought on average 10 PC games per year, and usually of these 10, I had pirated 4 or 5 earlier on... and would not have bought those if I couldn't try them. Mostly I play strategy/simulators/rpgs, so you can't really get a good impression just by videos or short demos.
In hindsight, I probably buy 70% of the games I pirate. And I regret a good third of those I bought without pirating.

I don't pirate games, only movies and music.

I pirate everything
movies, games, music, software, porn

never in my life paid for entertainment.

Quite a lot actually, probably a good few dozen. If I enjoyed a game I've pirated I generally do buy it later, often on some sale or shit, but still

Terraria and Stardew Valley

Just report and move on, user.

Honestly if you want to make friends you're better off going on a Teamspeak/Discord or anything else
Just saying, imagine that I just had a great conversation and you want to talk to me again, how would you find me?
Also you're just shilling your YouTube channel with no views, at least use Twitch

Attached: b8dfe2bdc63b3ab6acc11d7b75030dc9.png (704x400, 203K)

I pirate everything but food.

DeadCells, Div Original Sin 2, CrossCode.

Like, none.

I've purchased and then pirated a bunch of games though because how the fuck am I supposed to know my CD-Key for a game 15 years ago? You think I saved the case? Fuck you.

as an african american, I think this is racist and it hurts user. Racism is not cool on Yea Forums

Hades cuz i wanted to try it, wouldve actually bought it if it was on Steam

I only did that with Stardew Valley because I was following the game since it was greenlighted in 2012 and wanted to test it out. I will never pirate games and buy them afterwards though, waste of money

Undertale. Got it and loved it so much I bought the PS version and Switch version as well

>didn't save old cases
user why abandon your friends like that

>Yakuza 0
>Far Cry 5
>civilization 4
>skyrim
>new vegas
>stardew valley
>Age of Empires 2 HD
>witcher 3
There's a few more games I've bought but I'm phoneposting while taking a shit and can't remember them. Point is I'm in college and can't afford to buy new games so I torrent them. If I want to play multiplayer/mods require legit version/the torrent lacks patches, I'll buy it.

Attached: f58295_6942035.jpg (1200x956, 136K)

Necropolis
Exanima
Metro 2033
Deus ex human revolution
Deus ex mankind divided
The with er 3
Dark souls
Company of heroes
My summer car
Divinity original sin
Divinity original sin 2
Satellite reign

Just to name a few off the top of my head.

I used to play exclusively pirated games as a kid. Didn't have money for real stuff, neither did my dad. He was the one buying me pirated stuff back when you actually had to go to some dude's shed, pick out the games you want and wait for him to burn then to CDs.

First thing I did when I started working is make a list of my favorite games from that era and started buying them. A few each month.

Games that I pirated myself and then later bought are Minecraft, Stardew Valley, Don't Starve. Astroneer is on my to buy list as well if it gets more content.

>pirated my summer car then bought it
in what universe would you want to pirate my summer car if you didn't already know what it was lmao

Bless you user, I hope all your roads lead to gran soren.

Project Warlock
Dusk
Amid Evil
The Messenger
Hollow Knight
Vanquish for PC
Victor Vran
Phantom Doctrine
Ori and the blind Forest
Mark of the Ninja
Mercenary Kings
Grim Dawn
Hotline Miami
Nuclear Throne
State of Decay
Torchlight 2

If I'm interested in a game and there's no demo I will pirate it, it I end up liking it I will buy. Devs/publishers and "journalists" have ZERO credibility at this point, demos are needed more than anything but deception and subterfuge are needed to sell copies these days and since they won't provide demos I'm going to help myself.

COM3D2 it’s really good

Attached: 9D3AAB15-A827-42E4-A4B9-35B82ED86FBA.jpg (4032x3024, 3.3M)

Mate said "hey user, play a game called my summer car"
I wasnt sure if I wanted to drop cash on it, so I pirated it first.
I do that with practically all early access shit.

The only games I pirate are porn games and The Sims.
Sometimes I buy the porn games.

The last i've bought was yesterday Metro exodus, first pirated it, played for around 2-3 hours and then i decided to purchase it.
If a game keeps me engaged for more than 2 hours i will 100% buy it.

Excellent taste user

>encouraging denuvo & epic shittery
shame on you

Witcher 3
NIOH
Enter the Gungeon
Like 40 indie horror games

Oh yeah, i see fucktons of shame for someone who pay something he's enjoying.

Some people enjoy jerking off to lolicon. Doesn't mean we need to condone them ordering black market child brides just because they enjoy it.

you should pay to support devs you like
you shouldn't support the publisher when they're a bunch of fucking niggers who screw over customers to make more money

Persona, kingdom hearts, okami, metal gear, gta and some other I can't think of now. I pirated them because where I live that's just what you do with your ps2, and I either bought the games again when they were re-released on a newer platform or just bought the new ones in the series. Except for gta I would never give these games as chance if I had to pay full price before knowing they're good

Sunless Sea
Enter the Gungeon
The Binding of Isaac
Slay the Spire
Borderlands 1 and 2 but only because they were on a cheap bundle
Dark Souls 1 and 3
Factorio
Risk of Rain
Stardew Valley
Super Meat Boy

The AAA industry deserves no money or pity, really.
