Why are GOG forums such a pathetic anti-steam circlejerk?
gog.com
GOG doesn't even get any relevant AAA games, talk about sour grapes lmao

Lot of autists on that forum.
>GOG doesn't even get any relevant AAA games
Probably because none of them are relevant
They aren't wrong about DRM being an annoyance and even a problem in some games.
Yeah I was wondering what's up with that.
I buy from GOG very occasionally but the forums are legit insane and I make sure to steer clear of them.
Fuck steam, only bought Witchers and Dragon's Dogma on GoG through
Why are you going into a thread that you know will make you angry? Do you enjoy getting angry? Yes, circlejerks are gay. What are you going to do about it?
>going to the general forums ever
you only enter the game-specific ones for help on additional setup and troubleshooting
autists and dumbasses who somehow got banned from steam
I'll buy Cyberpunk 2077 on GOG. Sue me.
>Why are Yea Forums threads such a pathetic anti-whateverispopular circlejerk?
>going into any site's general forums
you'd think everyone would have learned from imdb's mistake by now.
>imdb's mistake
huh? care to bring me up to speed on that one?
But they're right. Steam is fucking cancer and the "Steam or no buy" cucks deserve to be drawn and quartered in the public square.
Steamcucks perpetuate some of the worst trends in PC gaming and GOGshills are responsible for none of it.
>DRM-free
But i already play DRM-free games on Steam. What makes the GOG client so special?
You could have made this thread on the steam forums instead of shitting here.
>What makes the GOG client so special
muh sekrit club, the underdog etc
it's honestly surprising how many unstable people fall for this narrative
No you don't. Unless you're exclusively playing off a list of DRM-free games on Steam.
GOG is DRM-free ONLY
They're a better victim then Epic.
imdb deleted their forums because they were a bottomless shithole
the DRM shills are out in full force today
neck yourselves (((kikes)))
OH NOOOO SOMEONE SAID SOMETHING BAD ABOUT GOD GABENS WEBSITE WHAT EVER WILL WE DO
Name a good AAA game.
gog is cucked
refused to distrubite grimoire because of cleve's "incorrect" thoughts
Do the same thing on steam.
Like clerkwerk
You're replying to an old pasta, newfag.
When are they going to get Dark Messiah and Prey 2006?
Because if you do buy a lot of games on GoG you're doing so because you're anti DRM.
DRM is a cancer on the industry and piracy is a poor scapegoat for bad sales.
I personally just buy from wherever is cheaper than apply a crack to it so I can properly back it up.
Yeah I'd maybe support GOG a bit more if there weren't OVER 200+ GAMES WHERE THE GOG VERSION IS INFERIOR TO STEAM
gog.com
>so I can properly back it up.
are you living in the fear of a nuclear apocalypse? do you have your own bomb shelter in your backyard?
No. I just think that you don't own anything that you have to go through a middle man to get after purchasing it. This fallacy of "It'll always be up there for download" is a silly one to have in the age of digital storage being as cheap as it is and how easy it is to back stuff up. I mean, look at the whole Machinima take down. Thousands of videos just, *poof*, gone in an instant. I don't want that to happen to my games.
Remember you don't own anything.
You don't own shit on GOG too. There's literally no difference between the two aside from the social media propaganda machine.
someone answer this man.
this is objectively wrong
If I have the game and installer on my hard drive, in what way do I not own it?
Tell me about that time when you legally sold your GOG games to somebody.
this. i look forward to 5-10 years from now when someone tries to load up a game that had denuvo and the amount of crying when they realize that the drm has broken the game beyond repair on new operating systems or hardware. it will be securom all over again.
How does that classify ownership? I can do whatever I want to that file besides resell it.
You have a problem with modern copyright law, not GoG in and of itself.
likme this user said epic store is superior store choixe.I(insert ching chong here), (deny, tiananmen square here)
The first rule of "owning" something is being able to sell it. That's why you own your physical media games. You can resell them 10-20 years in the future for mad profit. But your GOG games are simply personal digital downloads, same as on Steam.
I still own them. I have them on my hard drive. I can install them at any time I want, copy them anytime and however many times I want. The only thing I can't do is legally sell them. You can't back up a physical game and then sell the copy, that goes against copyright law. In my opinion, I'd rather have the ability to make infinite copies rather than be able to sell them.
>GOG objectively better than Steam
>j-just don't talk about it!!
If you play "AAA games" on anything other than a console (what they were designed for -- the PC versions are PORTS) then you're a fucking fool.
>multiplats are ports meme
get on with the times gramps
Physical > GOG > Steam >>> third-party key sites >>>>>>>>>>>>> Uplay >Origin >>>>>> Bethesda store >>>>> Epic
Pirating is in a league of its own
Steam >>> Battle.net = Origin = Uplay
GOG = pirating (you get the same offline installers either way, why pay)
Origin is objectively worse for pushing paid subscriptions
Nah it's pretty awesome. There's probably only a few Origin games you want to play anyway, get a month of subscription, binge play them, unsubscribe and uninstall. There.
>why pay
yikes and wew lad
