World, Galaxy 1-2, Bros 3, Odyssey, World 2 & 64 were infinitely superior

Minecraft in 2011. No modern game bullshit like in game purchases, dlc, etc. Simple, open ended gameplay that was easy for children or engaging for adults, that allowed you to explore your imagination. The game was heavily moddable with some crazy shit, and it had great multiplayer that supported as many players as your hardware could handle, that anyone could host with any rules they wanted.

BTW, I was 22 when this game came out. So it's not childhood nostalgia.

While meta-critic can be interesting and useful for quick and shallow looks at how something was received generally I think it represents a cultural issue with taking numbers that are just subjective opinions too seriously.

So, none because I don't think internet numbers are relevant to my enjoyment or opinion of any video games in any significant sense. Seems to just be ammo for people to try and prove they have better opinions than everyone else without actually engaging in anything resembling critical thought or discussion anyway.
