So Anthem's failure got me thinking; Can we scavenge the mechanics/assets, sell them to another dev team, and finally get a decent Iron Man game for once? Character itself isn't really one of my favorites, but I recognize the game potential there. Plus you just know after Spider-Man's success more capeshit games are probably under development.

God that box art is horrible
I have a theory after Spider-Man there will be a Marvel Game Universe just like there is a Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Which will be completely fine until each game begins to feel like a rehash
Well for one thing, a game universe would have a hell of a lot more creative freedom than the movie shit that's for sure. Not saying I want, just throwing it out there.
As for Iron Man, I think devs would be stupid not to get ambitious and give him a AAA game. Think about it
>Have access to decades worth of Iron Man costumes, playing the Iron Man YOU want to be much like Spider-Man was.
>Have the ability to set custom weapon layouts featuring repulsors, missiles, unibeams, drones, and whatever else.
>Flying around like a jet, hovering, and engaging enemies like never before
And so on. If they can nail down a solid control scheme, they're good.
Silver Centurion a best!
>keep the basic element of javelin gameplay
>replace 3 powers+ult with mass effect power wheel and the 3 power hotkey system
>decent focus into melee combat that can evolve into using swords and hammers
>customize your suit depending on situation and get hulkbuster and stuff for special encounters
>weapon use and flight drains power
>can be a war machine for shooter feel or the symbiote superior armor
>make it multiplayer by some stark academy excuse
>go from fighting terrorists to alien gods as you level up your tech
Unless Spiderman goes multiplatform, that will never happen.
Ok but who are you fighting in an Iron Man game? Who are the enemy NPCs?
In a perfect world it'd be based on Bob Layton's '80s run and it'd primarily be Stark vs the Reds. Maybe with Dr. Doom being in there somewhere.
Comic books are for retards
TAKE THAT BACK
>Sony gets exclusive rights to Spider-Man
>The rest are multiplats
You act like this hasn't happened to the movies. I feel like Sony would pay a hefty sum for exclusive rights to all Marvel games though should it be proposed.
Wasn't there speculation that Cory Barlog was attempting to force through a Thor game a few months ago? We know that Marvel Games literally just hand the license to their characters over to publishers who're willing to front the development costs as long as Marvel get the final creative day and a decent cut of the royalties, so if Sony were really hellbent on kickstarting their own Marvel Game Universe, they probably could.
Plus Venom being a commercial hit has left Sony in an extremely good spot when it comes to Disney wanting to renew Spidey's film loan deal.
I don't think they have the money to pay the mouse for the whole Marvel exclusivity, and they can't start a universe by holding hostage the game that defines it. Don't you remember they released 3 different Spiderman franchises? Last one they had to get on their knees.
It's not in the realm of impossibility and I'm sure has crossed his mind at least once.
Iron Man is probably also the second most popular superhero after Spiderman in Marvel nowadays since the movies boosted his popularity
HYDRA Dreadnoughts? AIM? Robots galore I would imagine. Iron Man kind of has a shitty rogues gallery
damn op, take my upvote
Ultron as a villain would also makes sense, which would lend itself to a ton of enemies
Ultron is more of an Avengers threat, too big for Iron Man alone. Technovore could work I suppose, maybe The Mandarin
I think the problem is that most of his main rogues gallery are basically just other inventors in mech suits. There's only so many times you can use "evil parallel version of the hero" for one character without it getting a bit played out.
>captain marvel buster
>its black
subtle.
Crimson Dynamo is the only good one anyway. Iron Monger, Titanium Man, and whatever the fuck pale by comparison
