Wait, what the fuck is that bank note made out of? Plastic?

What Yea Forumsidya gaems are Australian good at ? Hurtworld ?

did aussies just copy canadas plastic money or did we copy thiers?

Polymer

The portrait on the new note looks awful compared to the old one.

You think that one is bad? You should see the remaster that they plan on releasing in about 50 years from now.

Attached: 1243046220_46af9caca4_b.jpg (1024x512, 165K)

why would you get the artist from deviant art of all places?

>50 years from now.
With pooh ? hahhahha !

Are Australian banknotes the S+ TIER of money? They're so nice and high quality, all the notes are distinctly different so you can see the exact cash you have in a single glance and it doesn't fall apart if a drop of water touches it.

When I look at American banknotes, i just feel bad for them.

We copied theirs. According to Google, they switched over in 1996.

The new $5 and $10 feel like shit compared to the old notes

Anyone else seen a hundred dollar note recently? I was talking with my friends about this a while ago and none of us have seen one for over a decade. ATMs just spit out 50s.

They feel like shit but what is wrong with it? Shit look alright

The hell? How in the fuck is one side clear but the other side fully colored in?

Canadians are equally as good but I find with polymer sometimes the notes get stuck together, so you have to be extra careful

Wait is American money not made of plastic/polymer

user, the first pic is the old note and the second is the new one.

Now THIS look like fucking shit
>A FUCKING LEAF

The top bill is the old Australian $20 bill made of paper

The bottom is one of the new ones made with polymer, that part is seethrough on both sides

no it's a cotton fibre paper or something
it's awful

No, it's made out of a sort of cotton/paper hybrid material.

Why does it not say Dollery Doo on it?

Oh that's clever. I can see counterfeiters messing up with that.

What the fuck

Its made of paper

It's always surprising to me when I remember that there are still people in the world who use cash.

Leafs make Australian notes. Same in with NZ.
>burgers still make money out of nigger pickings

Not everyones credit limits are high enough in some cases. Cash can be accumulated much faster.

I want to say Canada switched over in the earlier 2010's.

What the fuck is this degeneracy?

Modern polymer banknotes were first developed by the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA), Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) and The University of Melbourne. They were first issued as currency in Australia during 1988 (coinciding with Australia's bicentennial year).

STRAYAH CUNT!

Funny enough as a Canadian ive never actually seen any of these and its been months. I laugh every time I read that charter quote on it, the law is a joke to the two big parties here much like in the US, corruption galore.

>the new portrait looks like a shitty photoshop airbrushing painted by a talentless mongaloid with a shit filter on it
>the entire note is a worse design, cheap and nasty, literally looks like it was taped together
Good to see that our money has been updated to better represent modern Australia

No we don't, only if the soda machine won't take it will I go through the trouble, and even then that's only like maybe 4 times a month.

>Australian state
>Melbourne
Victoria education, everyone.

The strip is for authentication and if you shine a laser through it it should something if it is legit.

>Not everyones credit limits are high enough in some cases. Cash can be accumulated much faster.
What?

>direct deposit into bank
>pay all bills online directly from bank account
>use credit card for all other purchases
>pay off at end of month so no interest accumulates
>if credit limit is reached, pay it off and continue using credit card

I don't see how a low credit limit would force someone to use cash. You shouldn't be spending more on your credit card than you have in the first place, so having a tiny credit limit just means maybe you have to pay the card off more than once per month. Anything you need to spend more than a thousand dollars on at a single time can usually be paid by bank transfer or check. I haven't carried cash in over 10 years.
