The cheapest props available for an action movie will always be modern day military equipment

its not done because it isnt a good concept for a movie. Its easy for a script writers point of view because you dont need to introduce the audience to anything through a tiresome opening narration or anything, the main character serves as an audience surrogate and gets explained too and they learn as the audience does. However its not successful and fun to watch most of the time. Look at John Carter, which is pretty damn close to isekai and was a tremendous flop

There's no reason a "bullet" made out if bone and nuts with the velocity of a hand-thrown tennis ball does damage to a wyvern, and a tank shell doesn't; they weren'r meant to encounter each other in the first place, and any bullshit reasons they can come up with (including absurd power levels, a common trope in japan) are just thrown in to justify the terrible decision to make that movie in the first place.

As someone who has played monhun non stop since Uno I can gladly say, nigeer, mon hun has shit stories. Literally every non key quest is flavor of the day to kill a monster, and even the key quest are not that far
