It's okay for that price. It's mindless but it held my attention for two weeks. Multiplayer is likely completely dead at this point though.

It's alright, just don't expect it to be like the PSP games though. If you don't mind the 3v3 aspect it can be a lot of fun.

It's a game made in the style of Gundam Extreme Versus, and really competent at it. However it has some really fucked up problems.
They use the arcade netcode which works extremely well in Japan but horribly elsewhere. They also switched from delay to rollback and that makes desync issues worse.
At least it isn't complete kuso like the PSP games though.

I'm not too interested in playing it super competitively online, so I don't think that's a huge problem for me. It's more the fanservice and playing as all the characters that I'm interested in.
The 3v3 looks a little too hectic. Is there really no way to set it to 1v1 fights?

It's not really hectic. 1v1 is literal garbage though and only available in lobbies. Half the depth in the game comes from movement and playing off of teammates.

Only in private lobbies iirc, which had a decent amount of people the last time I check, but that was a while ago.
Otherwise you gotta learn how to map awareness, although admittedly the lower ranks have a problem of tunnel vision, which is nice when you just feel like stomping.

You can do 1v1 fights. Multiple characters become near useless as the game was designed around 3v3. If you just want fanservice and seeing characters you like do things pick it up.

Yeah it's already f2p in moonland so if you have a jap psn account you can get it now. No word on an international version but I think it also has english as well.
It works off a rotation model so you'll get a set amount of characters to play for free until it's time to rotate them for new characters and the previous characters get locked. That also means that if you want a character permanently you have to purchase them off the ps store, so out of region will have to deal with jap psn cards or a jap credit card.

Its too bad this game turned out so lame. The PSP games were really god damn fun and looked crazy good. Plus being a fan of numerous FFs it was a dream come true.
But they just threw too much into playing this game. 3v3 was too much. Having these nuts area attack summons was nuts. Textbook example of just because you can doesnt mean you should.

It's a fun game. All complaints about it stem from people trying to fore a 3v3 game into being a 1v1 game. If you just play the game as intended, you can have a lotta fun with it.

The only shitty part of the game is the lack of single player options. Otherwise it's still a solid 3v3 arena fighter. Just because you don't like the genre doesn't mean it's bad
