Not only do you damage the cord you're using by bending it at such a sharp angle, meaning it will break sooner, but it also hampers the maneuverability and general "wieldiness" [as opposed to unwieldiness]. Well it depends what you're expecting. It has some exclusive titles to it that are not just ports, they are either entirely new games or port of a really nice games from Wii U which a lot of people didn't get a chance to play, since they didn't own Wii U. I think for the first 2 years of a console it did very well and it's just matter of time when we will get more console exclusive titles.
I don't know, Im playing mostly PC, but I do own all consoles and playing in all of them, enjoying vidya and creating my own. What a time to be alive.

The Wii U was oddly underpowered for when it was released. I'm not sure what Nintendo was thinking.

It's interesting because an exclusive like Bayonetta 2 runs and looks better than 360/ps3 gen but does not feel 8th gen, at all. It's polished up and looks a bit smoother but it just doesn't feel next gen.

I mean, the Wii U was similar in terms of power to the Xbox 360, and the Switch isn't immensely more powerful than the Wii U either. They claim 1TFlop but that's bullshit.

The Switch is way more convenient than the Wii U though.

With Wii U Nintendo basically went for polished 360/PS3 era, with a lot of games running at 720-1080p.
Switch is more powerful but compromises polish to push the envelope further, so you get games like Doom 2016 and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 that are far beyond what you saw on the Wii U but the resolution suffers.

PS4/XBO tried polished last-gen ports when released. You got things like Assassin's Creed and TLoU running at higher resolutions.
But ultimately graphics are most important so framerate and resolution again suffered.
Eventually they had to release pro consoles to fix the shortcomings.
If you try to play RDR2 on standard PS4 or XBO you'll really feel the limitations, the framerate is just abysmal.

XBC2 doesn't run like shit because of its graphics by any means but it pushes the system and the dynamic resolution can tank in areas.

Wii U has all the games that got ported to Switch for like 15-20 dollars each.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is by far the most visually impressive game on the Wii U and what Monolith was able to do is like squeezing water out of a cactus.

They made something that's clearly bleeding edge and pushed the Wii U's hardware beyond what any developer realistically could have. It's one of the few Wii U games that borders true early next gen/Xbox One.

And the game still doesn't look quite as good as Xenoblade Chronicles 2 does in many places.
