Nobody says that Overwatch is dead. It's still quite popular, however it is undeniably past its prime in terms of the playerbase size. The first year or so of Overwatch's life, it was juggernaut, maybe the most popular game in the world, but they didn't put out new content quickly enough to keep people interested. Some of those balance changes were also outright retarded.
