NVIDIA FAGS BTFO
AFFORDABLE GPUS ARE BACK ON THE MENU BOYS
Is that an upgrade to this?
jesus yes
Haha yes upgrade your shit nigga
Lmao yes wtf
God it's been like 7 years. I'm gonna have to replace everything, aren't I?
I feel guilty wanting a amd card because if I save a bit i can buy a nividia card.Which will generally be better.
>a few dollars less
>twice the power consumption
>~8% worse performance
>five times as loud
Ah yes great deal thank you AMD
nigger hwat
Fuck, I'm kind of tempted to upgrade at that price but I'd most likely also need a better PSU.
Yeppers
hahaha love russian memes XD funny froggeee aaaah
>that tiny price drop
Literally going to cost you more than a 1660ti after one month of use thanks to the power consumption.
How power hungry is it? I feel tempted to give AMD a chance but I don't feel like replacing my 430W PSU any time soon.
are the new 2080 nividia cards worth it if price is not a worry?
Well shit, here's my answer. Seems like I'm stuck with shitty proprietary drivers for the foreseeable future.
ATI ON DAMAGE CONTROL OH GOSH NVIDIA BTFO
REALLY PAJEET?
Just buy a 1660ti or a 2060 then sell it and buy the 7nm Nvidia cards that will release in a year or so if you can't wait.
Unless money really is no object then just get a 2080ti and a 3080ti when it releases I guess.
When I first built my pc on a tight budget I got an i3 skylake. I wanna get an i5 but I see the 7th gen i5s around the same price on amazon. I’m thinking about getting the kabylake and flashing my gigabyte z170x BIOS because the 7th gen supports the 1151 sockets but I’m nervous about fucking up my system no matter how easy it is. I figure I might as well take the hit and get a z270.
Thats not the question you wanted to ask is it?
To play like the three games that support ray tracing? No.
okay i'll wait for better cards to come out
waddya mean?
I'm not rich I just wanted to know if Yea Forums thought it was worth saving up for
Well if you didnt care about money you'd just go and buy 2x 2080 ti's and go on with your day.
If you're asking for price performance even then you'd have some further details needed like what games on what monitor. If you want general idea of what to buy 2060 seems like good price/perf card that runs most games 100fps on 1080p
Pepe frog is not a russian meme
I guess i need to do more research on what i want then you're right
yeah but its still an AMD, literally no dev supports it
I haven't upgraded in years and haven't been following GPU developments, but I'm looking to upgrade now. Is the 1660ti the card to get if I'm still a 1080p pleb? It seems like that card will max out pretty much everything at that resolution.
They're not bad cards at all but they're quite overpriced.
AMD should just stop making gpus
Those shitty edits sure are. You're being used as a distribution method, you dumb prick.
>Bought a Vega 56 Pulse back in September for $500
IT'S NOT FUCKING FAIR BROS
You need pci-e 3.0 x16
>best vga for amd is the worst nvidia one
Kek
You should've waited user
Is this an upgrade from a 1060
yes
This or 1080?
No because your cpu is going to bottleneck it so bad you won't notice any benefit.
>AMD got in touch with us in order to better clarify things. According to the red team, this is a promotion and not a price drop.
>“Radeon RX Vega 56 has been heavily promoted since the holidays and into the new year as partners have been eager to make RX Vega 56 and its forward looking 8GB of HBM2 available for more gamers. To clarify, the current Radeon RX Vega 56 promotion is not a price drop. Additionally, the RX Vega 56 graphics card will continue to be offered as part of AMD’s Raise the Game: Fully Loaded bundle with three of this year’s blockbuster titles.”
dsogaming.com
I have an R9 Fury. I shall wait another generation.
WTF NVIDIABRROOOOOS, WHY DO WE KEEP LOSING WHILE EVERYONE BUYS AYYMD AAAHHHH
Is it time to upgrade my 1060?
Dude just kill yourself you don't know what the fuck your talking about.
>ZERO (0) CUDA CORES
HOW CAN I RENDER MY FUTA WAIFUS WITH THAT GARBAGE?
Ryzen 2600 is better than an i5
since the bitmeme is dead are cards back to being purchasable
They have been for almost a year retard
>AMD CPU
I bought an FX-6300, never again. My previous Total War games run like shit.
>that jaw
you're just gay, my man
Any point upgrading for 1080p if I already have a 1070?
*precious
Wow let me check real quick
>Fx6300
>Ryzen 2600
It's almost like they're not the same fucking thing.
You're a fucking retard
You will never do 144hz at 1440p with a 1070
Wait another year or two, I think the new cards are still on par with a 1070 anyways.
They hacked the election, too...
Lol not in gaming
Is the gtx 970 a good card nowadays? Some are selling for 150 britbong monies
I have a 1060 3GB, but I only play at 1080p. Is it worth it to upgrade?
>never mind the animal dicks
No it won't, unless he plays at 4k ultra settings.
How is this fair for people who bought a Vega 56 during Christmas for 400 bucks?
Not planning on attempting that anyway my dude.
Cheers senpai only installed last week, I'll see what the 2070 is like when it drops.
Found yet another retard Jesus Christ
Doesn't matter, it's not like their design philosophy has changed.
>Single core speed? Who cares about that gay shit? Just add more cores lmao
1060 is better for the same price, plus you get more VRAM
I fucking hate my 970 and I would trade it for a pascal card instantly
considering you were retarded enough to buy into bulldozer its no surprise you have no idea what you're talking about
>managed to score a new 1080 for $400 just before christmas
You can keep your budget card. Still waiting for AMD to make something worthwhile with that 7nm technology.
1080 or this?
Higher resolutions reduce cpu bottleneck friend. If you're playing a game that an upgrade to a Vega will offer a noticeable difference chances are its a game made in the past few years which means its going to be more cpu intensive.
Is this a good upgrade from a 970?
I've been thinking of upgrading soon. I was thinking of a 2070 if the price drops soon.
Not GPU related, but is it true that AMD is better at CPUs than Intel now? I've seen a lot of people say to wait on the new zen architecture instead of going in on a i7-9 series right now.
>AMD
>worthwhile
Sworn off them since they failed to even address let alone fix the Wattman crashing issues.
Why do you hate your 970? I've heard they are meant to be really good for the price
Not him but the lack of vram sucks
>3DPD
>Not even good 3DPD
You have to go back.
yes it is
AMD is better than Intel if you're gaming above 1080p and also want to spend less money and get similar performance
because I bought mine for 300 dollars and got memed by nvidia about the VRAM. while at the time it was a good card, 5 years on it fucking sucks and you'd be better off getting basically anything else, even an RX 570 or 480 is preferable.
>Ryzen 2600 is better than an i5
Than a similarly priced i5, sure.
Better than current gen i5's in general? You'd have to be a legit retard to believe that.
Yeah, bro. Whow cares 20 FPS if you can shill for AMD.
Worth upgrading? I don't play that many video games.
no, it's a 3.5 gig card that suffers a performance decrease once you go above 3.5 gb of VRAM used
I know what I'm talking about, I own the piece of shit
>110 degrees
nigga what
>Bought a Vega 64 for $400
>got re2 remake, and will get dmcv
>Most games I play get btfo by the card I usually my custom profile with sliders all the way down to minimize power consumption so the nviggers whinging about power draw doesn't even affect me most of the time.
Feels pretty good, looks like it will last me a while.
Is there still no reason to get more than an i5 for gayman, or has that changed? I don't know if I'll ever use all the cores in an i7.
No
Speccy adds +60C to Ryzen 2700X don't ask me why
>AMD
Should I get this to play Minecraft?
Why doesn't speccy recognize my 580 as a sapphire card pls help
haha too bad the price won't change at all outside the US
AnotherMassiveDisappointment
>people are buying GTX 1070/1080s and vega 56s that are 2 year old out of date hardware because the current hardware is only 10% better and double the price
yikes
the fuck is a 1660ti?
>guys i bought a shitty cpu for a cpu intensive game
>FUCKING AMD
this board is straight downs
Its an alternative to the 2060/1070 without ray tracing features and somewhat more power efficient.
>someone updated the old image
based
im wondering where is the promotion and if this is worth upgrading over my rx480 i finally got a 1440p monitor 120hz
the vega 56 is a nonexistant product in most of the world, miners got every single one of them months ago and there's no new shipping in sight.
the 1660ti is a really awkward product
it's basically a 1070 with less RAM for pretty much the same money, I don't get it
Any GPU recommendations that are in the range of 200 dollarydoos?
I'm still rocking a GTX 960
None that are meaningful upgrades
You better spend at least 400$
Need to upgrade my ram to go with this card any advice lads
Was it that you need 3200hz to help the gpu perform? Or was it the amd cpus?
Anyway get some 3200hz 16gb when you see some for sale for 100€
just get whatever's cheapest
are you me?
just installed it yesterday, had a 6950 before
