Soul Sacrifice is kind of in a weird place. Inafune and a few of the Japan Studio guys actually lobbied for a PS4 port but were shot down on the basis that "hunting games don't sell on consoles" thanks to the poor commercial performance of Ragnarok Odyssey on the PS3 and Toukiden Kiwami on the PS4. Thing is, even though Monster Hunter World has come out and completely disproved that, the IP is back on the PlayStation, so there's no reason for Sony to bother reviving Soul Sacrifice or Freedom Wars since they were devised specifically because Capcom jumped ship to Nintendo with MonHun.

Didn't the game ended on 2 because of this? I don't think there's anything else to cover about Kat, and Raven got a pretty solid DLC, too. I guess Japan Studio already knew Sony was already ditching the series and tried to do their best to fill up any holes in the story and close it on a high note.
