Not that user but stellaris still hasn't been fixed since the last major update from early december. Apparently they are already gearing up for the next dlc without truely fixing anything. This game will never have a solid basis to build upon as it seems.

That's what I figured. Guess I'll have to turn to GalCiv3 for my galaxy conquering needs.

Gal Civ III just isn't that good as well imo. It could be so much better:

>the combat is just boring and you can't really assign ships to specific roles and positions within a fleet
>the map is cool but they could do all sorts of cool stuf like locking parts away behind barriers, or navigatable corridors through nebula
>the map is also static why not make it change over time like civ now or endless legend, there could be supernovas and shit happening changing the game situation
>the united planets could be so much more fun being a tool to manipulate the game
>for example you pick empire as government, 20 turns later you can change to whatever other government you like, that doesn't make any sense
>stellaris has that direct link to events that happen and your leaders or government that makes your empire feel a bot more alive

The ship builder will always be amazing but the rest of the game just isn't up to date with the competition in the 4x field right now. To bad the latest dlc that was released yesterday just adds more of the same stuff and barely introduces anything new.

It's the bad performance with the micro stutters and the bad ai that really stop me from wanting to play. I wouldn't say the game is more complicated, there is only a small new layer of strategy but since the ai can get resources for free when it's in trouble, economic warfare isn't really a thing. I also don't like that the market always resets after a few months to the same base prices, why can't it just stay as it is when there is no trade in a certain product. Why did they copy aoe2's market and made it even more simple?

I know they promissed a big patch for end Februari that should fix most things and even add new ui's for some menu's. I doubt it will fix most things though given paradox's track record. But after that patch they'll supposedly move on to the next dlc which is worrying. What if there still are major issues next week?

Planetary management got a revamp and sectors don't exist anymore. Unfortunately the AI is still retarded so players have to deal with sectors tanking your economy by spamming farms.
The three ascension paths used to be somewhat balanced but Biology is now king. Mechanical ascension is literally suicide because it destroys your energy production. Machine empires are shitty by extension.

I'm the user a few posts above that got bored of FFXIV.
I'd recommend it. The main fault of the game is that the beginning is somewhat slow and shitty, it only opens up around level 50, but then there's a ton of content to explore and things to do. It's not a "raid or die" kind of MMO, it encourages you to dick around and enjoy yourself doing whatever... At least it did for me. The soundtrack is mindblowing. Bosses modeled straight out of Amano's art look great, story gets epic at times, most boss fights are very fun. Crafting is nice if you're into being a jew. Combat is alright, there's no PvP though.
... Maybe the community isn't the best either, but don't let that deter you. There's always a comfy Free Company you could find if you go far enough into the game.
Anyways in my opinion you should get the free trial and level to 35. If you enjoyed yourself even a little, buy the game, it'll be worth it. Cheers user.

Speak from my own experience, Med School is way less intensive than lets say an Engineering degree. at least when it comes down to the amount of time and effort you need to spend year round.

Yup. 100% commission. What I like about this company though is that they have like a 2 month training period where I ride along with someone who already makes 100k or so from residual income to learn the tricks of the trade and get half of whatever they sell. All this hate on Bioware's latest shit offering has actually made me interested in playing Inquisition again after not touching it for ages.

It occurs to me that Inquisition's plot would make a good isekai. I mean the Inquisitor's backstory in Thedas counts for almost nothing so it can be discarded. The whole thing is started by a freak magical catastrophe that could easily serve a pretext for "blowing open a portal to another world that the MC from Earth fell into". MC is quickly placed into a situation where they are seen as extremely powerful and god-like (or at least god's chosen). Especially playing as a qunari, I get this 'fish out of water' feeling from the game already.

Yeah played it before christmas sometime. For the most part it looked gorgeous and stuff was fine, though encountered a few gamebreaking bugs I had to fix myself in the main quest. Was pretty tedious but vanilla daggerfall was also a bugfest. Looking forward to it being finished since I want to be a furry in it finally.

Watching so many people just write off the series because of the costumes and completely missing out on the actual gameplay that has depth and complexity.
It sucks watching my favorite fighting game franchise die because people don't want to give it a chance and now they're making changes to get those people but also trying to please the small amount of actual fans and the end result is just a big fucking mess

It's been a real fucker of a week. Hardest I've had in a while. Monday I had a thesis proposal immediately followed up my TA-ing a fucking awful lab where literally everything broke. The rest of the week was more of that lab plus getting raw dogged by and E&M exam. But the week ended with meeting up with some friends I haven't seen in a bit and the aforementioned lunch so it's not all bad. I'm just glad it's over.

I haven't played shadow but enjoyed the other two. The story is nice and zones fun to explore. Well made games but nothing spectacular. Also plenty of cinematic stuff if you're into that.

Look at it this way. DOA isn't dying anytime soon I'm telling you. But if or when it does. Then at least we have up to maybe 8-9 hell up to maybe 12-14 with beach sports and stuff to enjoy regardless. And it won't be tarnished anymore. But again that is a long way off. Japan ain't going to let DOA die no matter what.

Not that user but also playing it with buddies. I guess I can't say much about it if it just doesn't click for you, that can't really be forced. I like a lot of things about it but I get bored with certain aspects of BRs, the gunplay doesn't do much for me, and I don't love the art style and certainly not the graphics. It's fun, and definitely worth persevering in to get over the hump. It definitely took me a few hours for it to really click, and now the gameplay is better.
If you're new and need to gid gud, just drop in hot spots all the time to force yourself into gun battles instead of looting for thirty minutes just to get mowed down by the first person you see. You might take a licking here and there but it will force you to get better with the gunplay, at least.
