Due to the recent YouTube fiasco, there's rumblings of discontent against the big let's players for essentially being in the position to make YouTube listen but refusing to rock the boat. There's a palpable "Fuck you, got mine" attitude among the people who made it to the top while all of the lesser channels continue to suffer
Storm's coming Harry, expect to see the tide turn if this goes any further. All the e-celebs you guys complain about might start feeling the pressure soon
no one cares about your favourite talent less fuck
Henry Diaz
it's pretty easy to get a let's player's videos demonetized now so if you hate a certain youtuber just say something nasty in the comments bam no more money for the loudmouth manchild.
Youtube is not overall profitable. If you are a small channel, you are effectively being subsidized by Youtube by being given access to the biggest video distribution platform in the world free of charge. No, being a big time Youtube star is not a human right. No, you're not "a little guy fighting an evil corporation", you're an entitled lazy fuck who needs to get a real job. In fact the most fair thing for Youtube would be to start charging video creators for every video view and every mention of your video in search results or recommendations.
Leo Long
>Due to the recent YouTube fiasco ?
Ayden Martin
His mother doesn't love him.
Sebastian Gray
Oh my god who. The hell. Cares?
Jacob Jenkins
TLDR: YouTube is now going to start penalizing content creators if the comment section of their videos are inappropriate, because one guy managed to scare off what few advertisers YT had left
Caleb Morgan
Sexy cunny!
Thomas Butler
Something about another YouTube purge, this time based around comments or something.
Wyatt Sullivan
Calm down Susan.
William Sanders
YouTube will demonetize you if people in your comments section say naughty things.
Brayden Hall
What happened now?
Benjamin Evans
...
Kevin Ramirez
Oh you misunderstand, I don't want to stop "The big bad corporation" I wanna see Mark, Pewd, and Jack get toppled by their own audience for their indifference
Noah Lee
Are you fucking serious? Wasnt it already enough to censor swearing in videos but also in comments as well? Is YT asking to get left behind?
Owen Bailey
Wasn't all this because they discovered a child sex ring communication in the comments of certain videos? Sounds like quite heavy stuff if true.
maybe they should learn how to create games instead of playing them
Josiah Reed
Throw a band aid on that gushing wound.
Gabriel Harris
>YouTube is generally fucking awful in every single way and has been for years >getting worse by the month >yet LITERALLY NOBODY is willing to start a viable competitor Why? What is stopping some billionaire from making a viable alternative?
Ian Carter
They'll never be left behind, because their have a monopoly, and whenever competition arises no one wants to leave, or at least no one who matters, like what OP said about the big guys not doing anything.
Twitch is about the only site that could potentially make YT sweat, but they don't have standard video hosting
Isaac Roberts
No, it's because someone posted a new video of child sex ring communication that got news attention after years of everyone knowing and talking about it already being a thing.
Angel Powell
They did, and they decided that rather than actually moderate their content they'd throw more bots at the problem
Because YouTube will go to any length to avoid doing their job
Hunter Cox
because the tech giants are all in commiefornia and will stonewall any attempts to cush in on their rut.
Aiden Murphy
YT will never be left behind. They hold a monopoly over video hosting that will hold no matter what bullshit they pull, because all of the milquetoast big names on the platform will remain. There are plenty of viable alternatives, but nobody will use them. Only .005% of YT users are even aware of shit like this and care about it. The rest will remain.
Ian Turner
What about pornhub?
Levi Richardson
But the sex ring thing, is it true or bullshit?
Xavier Cook
They have the infrastructure for it, but they would have to do some remodeling to their site in order to make it more palatable for creators, which is unlikely.
Mason Johnson
You are too busy fucking infants probably.
Jordan Cooper
I swear I saw some stuff on /x/ about this. If it's true I will go insane because I remember trying to decipher some of that stuff.
Elijah Barnes
They don't owe you shit, people like them, big deal. Youtube doesn't owe ypu shit either, go qq somewhere else because no one gives a fuck about your gay little gam3r channel that gets 50 views per video
Tyler Nelson
i wouldn't mind a more adult oriented youtube
Michael Richardson
>unironically standing up for faceless corporations for free
this is why i never understood console wars either. why are you giving CEOs who would never give you the time of day a free shill?
Charles Perez
No one can replace YT. Why? Because YT is barely even profitable, if it wasn't for Google they would have gone bankrupt ages ago.
There are approximately 300 hours of video uploaded to YT every minute or something ridiculous like that.
Pornhub simply does not have the infrastructure for it.
Jeremiah Gutierrez
The problem would come with BLACKED porn showing up on recs all the time. They would need to completely revamp the site and its algorithms in order to accompany new users, at the cost of their own userbase, for a group of people that likely aren't even going to bother transitioning. Not really worth it from a business standpoint.
Isaac Russell
I only knew because someone made a video about it. Hope it's just Chinese whispers, if true, damn. What a world of fuck we live in.
Ethan Cooper
They'll only care once it affects their revenue. And it'll only affect them once they've already been hit with it. YouTube knows this. They want comments removed site wide. They want to only show you what they want you to see. >Election is next year Interesting timing.
Easton Campbell
don't bring my hot boy in this shit hole. he is too pure for this place
Camden Rogers
"Adult".
Michael Miller
>Create fake account >Go to every video of a youtube you dislike >Post inappropriate comments >The videos will be demonetized
How not this shit be a potential to unleash mass trolling?
Henry Price
his mother is one of the bug people, they can't actually feel love
Jace Bell
You shut your whore mouth about nakeyjakey
Carson Martin
jesus christ, i really wish this shitty platform would die already.
because i think they're specifically talking about pedo comments in videos of kids but don't want to draw any more attention to it and instead just hint at it
Bentley Campbell
I think that nowadays creators should go the Mumkey Jones route and simply upload content to their own custom websites, where they're free to pursue their own ad revenue and other forms of income through external sources like Patreon et al. YouTube is a sinking ship and people need to come up with alternatives, even if the solutions are independent. As funny as that sounds, I highly doubt that will be possible. YouTube is full of retards, but i'm sure even THEY aren't stupid enough to make the new system THAT easily abusable.
Henry Roberts
To be fair they are providing people with free unlimited video hosting and people keep bitching about a free service.
Jacob Gomez
>there was a guy in the youtube thinktank staff who thought this will not be abused in an unintentional way
Is it me or western companies really love to chop down the trees they are sitting on?
Liam Hernandez
I like nakey too, but it's still a gimmick, he even admitted that himself
Logan Rogers
>He's got like 6 but none of them have ever really stuck or become memorable You’d be surprised how many different people I’ve seen in videos say “Oh, it’s Markiplier!” whenever a solitary letter “M” shows up in a game, like it’s a reference to the guy or something.
Sebastian Murphy
>No one can replace YT It's pretty easy to see youtube killing itself in the near future, something else is bound to pop up with time.
Jayden Lopez
Sneed.
Cameron Watson
I mean they've had a broken copyright system that is easily abused by anyone with zero consequences for literal years so, yeah
Camden Martinez
More like polio state because it's a fucking disease.
Liam Watson
The big youtubers are smart enough to realize they can be replaced and that they have a great thing going
Gavin Smith
Some guy made a video exposing how fucked up YT's algorithm was by demonstrating an exploit that allowed you to find softcore child pornography (kids bathing, doing gymnastics in leotards, and so) very easily. And once you were in "the loop", you'd ONLY get recommended said types of videos. What's worse, most of these videos were monetized, and had ads displayed on them. Now onto the comment fiasco: in most of these videos' comments, pedos post timestamps of the lewdest parts (when a child's crotch or chest is visible), shit like "UMA DELICIA CARA MINHA PEDO XDXDXD", and even contact info. Now, in YouTube's TOS, there's a section that says that if the system detects said type of comments in a video, it would automatically disable the comments, which proves that YT has a way of detecting that these videos are pedobait, but instead of deleting them or at least demonetizing them, they just hide the comments. Needless to say, after the video went viral (it has 2M+ views by now), advertisers were not happy their product got associated with these types of videos, so now YouTube is implementing this new policy, which in turn will rile up content creators because "muh shekels".
YouTube runs at a massive loss, it is only kept around due to its immense power as a tool for political influence.
Jaxon Myers
Haha epic post and pic!! Mind if I save that image? :)
Xavier Peterson
It was a character he played that people liked way back when
David Myers
i do mind actually so don't save it
Zachary Hughes
You would become that which you have most
Landon Reyes
Pretty Sure every Major Lets player has commented on the state of youtube, and all Susan does is block them from Youtube Rewind like it means literally anything at all
Xavier Wilson
t. failed youtuber
Luke Butler
It's not the 50's anymore grandpa. Competition doesn't work like that anymore. Google ain't going anywhere because nobody can. Same with amazon. The idea that somebody can come along and compete with a pre-established company with shitloads of money is horribly outdated. It's hard to do even as one of the huge companies.
Christian Richardson
There is a /x/ theory about youtube hosting pedo videos, a huge youtube section that only a few has access... but that is just a crazy /x/ theory hehe
Juan Williams
That's a good point. Most of this adpocalypse shit is only coming from people who insist on hosting their full-time job on a platform that's been infamously unstable for that purpose for a decade now, even though there are now better alternatives for income such as Patreon. Yeah, I think people might be over-reacting to this. YT isn't dumb enough to implement a system where you could run around saying "nigger" to get people demonetized. The algorithm will be more specific than that. And if i'm wrong, then YT will implode and maybe we can finally move onto something else.
Adrian Powell
>instead of doing something about the videos with said content they will just play big brother in the comment section epic simply epic
Jonathan Mitchell
I doubt they would lose their money. This function is more of a way of forcing youtubers to delete the comments that aren’t “politically correct”. In other words it gives YouTube the power to control individuals accounts by limiting the discussion that can take place in the comments, because “if you don’t do what we say and delete those nasty racist comments, we aren’t going to pay you”
Aiden Jones
All you have to do is find what triggers the bot and you can go demonetize everyone you could ever want
Caleb Garcia
The actual content of the videos in question isn't the problem. Most of it is just videos of kids and parents recording themselves doing mundane shit. The problem is that these videos are being passed around in pedo rings or whatever. If they just took all the videos down then that would be unfair to the children and parents who are uploading, what they feel, is harmless content.
Carter Long
>I only knew because someone made a video about it. Got a link?
John Bennett
The top e celebs still only make up a small portion of site traffic, that's the problem the speds who wanted a "creator union" ran into.
Kevin Wright
You've ignored what I said, youtube can KILL ITSELF first like it's doing right now, and then after the fact something will resurface, sites and social medias have killed themselves before and something new always pops up as technology advances, if youtube keeps allienating it's creators they WILL fuck off to patreon or somewhere else.
Aaron Barnes
>children doing gymnastics in leotards is softcore child porn
americans
Landon Foster
I would hope it isn't that easy, but knowing YouTube, it might be.
Kevin Parker
PFFFFT HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Jacob Williams
That guy (and so many others) are a disgrace to humanity. They make even incels look good.
Ethan Williams
Not happening. YouTube has already fucked it pretty much constantly, with terms like 'adpocalyse' becoming commonplace. Sites like patreon and twitter cover any and all fuckups they could realistically commit at this point. Protip: Becoming entirely nonfunctional as a video streaming website is not a fuckup they could realistically commit.
Oliver Torres
>That guy (and so many others) are a disgrace to humanity. Given they get jobs outside youtube and get rich by making dumb videos you're literally seething
Asher Hernandez
This. People need to just utilize alternative methods of income. Start a website and run ads there, join Patreon, shill your PayPal, ask people to sub/donate on Twitch, etc. Ad monetization on YT isn't the only solution.
Camden Martin
>projecting Dumb incel drone.
Ryan Garcia
>YouTube has already fucked it pretty much constantly Exactly the reason why it can happen, it has a decent chance of happening too, to be fair.
Kayden James
Dailymotions been around for years m8
Zachary Watson
Could a channel just disable the comment section and link to a forum in the video's description?
Gabriel Johnson
TB did this.
Jordan Collins
>projecting learn what that word means first ok buddy?
Jeremiah Jenkins
and he died of ass cancer, so don't do that.
Luis Jones
Most e-celebs these days get at least 2-3k monthly on Patreon if not more, the average life cost for someone who doesn't waste money is 1k monthly at worst, why do they even care about the monetization?
Carson Robinson
Because they want more money
Chase Robinson
just when I thought the platform couldn't be more of an unsalvageable dumpster fire, it's gonna be EVEN WORSE
they found a fucking way
Eli Sanchez
>projecting
he says, calling the other user an incel when he doesn't even know the guy
Sebastian Adams
it's gonna get worse
Nicholas Lee
Times change, cope.
Connor Perry
literally hitler
Gabriel Thompson
Youtube definitely doesn't pay enough, so i dunno why they wank, they use youtube because its popular, not because its efficient. I remember Boris saying he earned around 250eur/month, but its also a matter that it pays a lot less if you are not american. His videos on average are around 300k views. 90% of these people are unable to sustain themselves from youtube only since the adpocalypse when they cut 400% from the ad income.
Chase Wilson
people have been saying this since 2010 how far is too far? what would google have to do to have a mass exodus from youtube to a new platform?
>the average life cost for someone who doesn't waste money is 1k monthly at worst, why do they even care about the monetization? Because they're incomprehensibly stupid. When they make it big they always. >Move to expensive areas. >Do stupid shit like rent an "Office" >Get tired of the channel identity they were oh so "passionate" about and try to change it, basically alienating their fanbase. I have nothing against making money from Youtube, you don't really owe anybody anything and should just make money however you can or want to, but a lot of these stupid fucks basically hemorrhage money and then panic and try to get more. Why the fuck does the Completionist need office space and 10 or so employees? Even people that outsource editing just have to pay one other guy at most.
the only thing that can beat youtube is a p2p network where video sharing burden is on the users, preferably anonymously
this would be an absolute nightmare for law enforcement though. Imagine a speedy freenet/Tor sans vulnerabilities where people share whatever videos they want
Angel Mitchell
Because Silicon Valley crushes anything that would even marginally be a threat to their various monopolies.
Hudson Brown
>Move to expensive areas. this one is the funniest >"Let's leave our perfectly manageable rent situation and move to one of the most expensive cities in America!" >"SHIT we're running out of money!" looking at you cowchop
Andrew Kelly
>because one guy managed to scare off what few advertisers YT had left you mean the guy who makes video of him inviting underage girls to hop in his car?
>YT isn't dumb enough to implement a system where you could run around saying "nigger" to get people demonetized. The algorithm will be more specific than that.
And I thought Tumblr wasn't dumb enough to wipe out its userbase trying to get rid of pornbots.
PornHub's been gladly accepting non-pornographic content creators and have been interested in a SFW off-site using all the same features. Expect a VideoHub in the 2020s.
Evan Brown
wat
Colton Sullivan
Zoomers seem to have no issue donating to their surrogate friends through patreon, why don't these 'big' content creators just disable ads in all their videos and set up one? I think that would be the most efficient way to fuck Youtube over, use their servers and bandwith without them seeing a dime.
Wyatt Evans
This guy was already known as a garbage person. He tried to be a nazi boss for Matt and Ryan and pissed them off so much they quit to start supermega. They don’t even talk to each other anymore and refuse to acknowledge one another and despite living right next to other major channels in LA they refuse to collaborate with him.
Liam Perry
Not the point, pedo
Ryan Gutierrez
Because they still make huge amounts of money from both. They’d be cutting their own revenue in half, I read somewhere it’s like 6,000 USD for 1,000,000 views.
That Sparkles Minecraft guy bought a mansion in California from his money.
Owen Bailey
Because he murdered his roomate for views and now he feels guilty
Eli Ross
sadly this thread will still get 400+ replies because people love drama
Dominic Johnson
You forgot the part where links to actual CP were being posted in the comments
Elijah Miller
Got a link? For purely scientific research purposes, of course.
Elijah Thomas
And what the hell are the big Let's Players meant to do? YouTube doesn't listen to anyone. It's not like Twitch where once you get partnered you get a specific person to email questions and complaints to.
YT actively hate their own content creators and want them to fuck off so they can be an entirely sponsored and paid content site. Even the biggest content creators with tens of millions of subs get fucked over like it's nothing to them.
Thomas Bennett
He defends Let's Players and reaction faggots, it's clear as day.
Evan Smith
most of them are re-uploads by throw-away accounts of people who know they can make shekels off of nonces or worse, the kids themselves realizing they can make money from sucking a lolipop on camera for nonces
Nathan Cruz
No he was making fun of the guy who calls people more succesful than him a disgrace on humanity
Christopher Jackson
Let's players aren't in any position to rock the boat, keep in mind 300 hours of video are uploaded to youtube a minute and there's around 5 billion views a day. "Professional" youtubers only account for a tiny percentage of that content and are only propped up by people like Yea Forums inflating their egos and importance they could all fuck off completely and youtube would barely feel it because their still going to get their bread and butter from shit like kids on their parents phones randomly clicking around and old people pretty much doing the same. Let's Players will never be able to do shit to actually influence the higherups.
Alexander Collins
reminds me of tumblr having a CP problem so they just ban 100% of the porn on their site rather than put in the effort of removing illegal content
Nolan Martinez
Markiplier is kinda hot ngl
Christopher Gray
I just spend the last hour typing "fuck niggers gas the jews race war now" under every video i disliked starting from Jim Sterling's videos
The best part is the guy who made the video only made it because he failed to become an e celeb and wanted to fuck over everyone else.
Mason Lee
>kids realizing they can make money Oh my, how terrible!
Joseph Morgan
>the noose is tightening around the bigshots of yesteryear on the sinking ship that is YouTube while the new blood Twitch goobers are soaking up all the attention on the new frontier and making out like bandits with paypig bucks Ray William Johnson, Shane Dawson, Toby Turner, and Onision will be the first to kill themselves. Onision is already getting nailed for hundreds of thousands in back taxes because he tried to write his home, vehicles, and lunches off as work expenses for tax writeoffs but didn't even bother keeping receipts.
Actually related to games: Did you know that in an effort to ban CP, Youtube took down tons of Pokemon Go videos because their point system is called CP? (combat power)
Juan Bell
reminder they already have some kind of script that modifies comments
Hudson Gomez
I get what their trying to do but did they just not realize how easily this could be manipulated?
Parker Young
Nobody's going to mention how he scams children with his clothing brand? I mean, nobody? Really?
Nicholas Ortiz
There's nothing wrong with Cloak
Brayden Carter
Read again. And success is irrelevant, it's how you act in front of others.
Jeremiah Lopez
I think they do it because they want so badly to feel like they're running a legitimate business, even though a legitimate business would never waste money like that
John Jones
It's still useful as a way to listen to music, and get reviews of things that aren't video games
Luis Nelson
It's literally cheap Chinese shit that also comes from Amazon for 5 dollars that they sewed their logo on or had it steam pressed. It's not even merch, it's supposed to be a "high quality" clothing line.
Ethan Stewart
>And success is irrelevant lmao >it's how you act in front of others user...what do you think the whole acting career its based on?
Isaac Brown
One is professional acting, another is acting like a retard.
Cameron Gutierrez
Professional actors play the role of retard at times, also you speak like its easy to do
Justin King
Based pepeposter, buy you have to make sure your comment is not filtered and/or manually deleted, you gotta keep at it
Samuel Myers
>play the role Keywords.
Jeremiah Morris
You're either a fucking retard, baiting, or being paid by somebody. The unholy trinity of internet cancer.
Connor Morgan
>DSP has disabled his comments long before this fiasco even started. HE JUST KEEPS WINNING.
Oliver Taylor
Do you honestly think PDP acts like a retard outside the camera?
Brody Reed
What is dead may never die. DSP is fucking invincible.
Long after every other e-celeb has faded away, DSP will somehow still be making money
William Brown
Spoken like a true fat communist, how do you suggest they moderate their MASSIVE platform? You can't be this retarded to think that manually moderating everything is plausible, each content creator now is responsible for their comment section.
Nolan Edwards
He's the one sole exception. All the others, even after PDP's change, still remain as they are.
Carson Taylor
>He's the one sole exception >All the others, even after PDP's change, still remain as they are. I doubt that
Benjamin Lee
I have no sympathy for anyone who though being an e celebrity was ever going to be a stable job
Nicholas Richardson
This man is fucking invincible
Thomas Johnson
Considering they gain more money with a couple of videos than the average wagecuck does in a week, it is
Nobody's saying "check out my let's play" now any way. Why do you think they're pulling all this shit in the first place? They're struggling from irrelevancy. Zoomers are so interconnected now they have no need for an make-believe foster e-brother to play their videogames with.
Charles Diaz
This. Putting all your eggs in one basket is a horrible idea, especially if you're trying to monetize a life doing what is a side hobby for most people.
When YouTube's bubble bursts, man is it gonna be violent.
David Ortiz
how is this a bad thing? motherfuckers will shitpost the fuck out of everything and youtube comes under more fire
Dylan Morgan
FOR EVERYONE COMPLAINING ABOUT ADS BEING REMOVED, YOU DON'T HAVE TO MAKE MONEY ON YOUTUBE FOR IT TO LET YOU EXERCISE FREE SPEECH WHICH IS WHAT YOU ARE BITCHING ABOUT.
you still get unlimited hosting space for videos for fucking free about whatever you want that isn't illegal, Jesus christ, you're lucky its this unrestricted.
Benjamin Morgan
>Why do you think they're pulling all this shit in the first place? Because several large advertisers pulled out after they finally found out about all the pedos on youtube - something that won't exactly get fixed if people start putting their videos on fucking pornhub.
Elijah Gutierrez
Shut up you wrong-ass nigga
Liam Wood
Nah, it's okay because it's a private corporation so it's not infringing on speech since that only applies to the government and the right wing thinks that any criticism against corporations make you a commie.
Angel Turner
Plenty of channels get blocked though like that Elliot Roger obsessed guy.
Noah Jones
You mean Jungle Jimmy.
Levi Parker
Jim Sterling makes all his money from Patreon, that ain't gonna do jackshit
Adrian Taylor
Seriously?
Brayden Cruz
Because they got copyright claimed and hence got copyright strikes. Its easy: 1. dont turn on ads 2. dont upload copyrighted shit 3. dont upload illegal shit
now you have nothing to complain about, you're on 2008 youtube
Camden Long
"There is a phenomenon we in Finland call "päivämäärävideot" which simply translates to "date videos". What basically happens is you search today's date and get tons of videos uploaded from smartphones using the default video title (which is the current date).
Surprisingly, large amount of these videos are kiddies recording their innocent little home flicks, that are then uploaded straight to YouTube on an auto-generated channel using their real name (because that's what a smartphone asks first when you boot it). This can happen unknowingly or accidentally, and kids may not even understand or comprehend that there is public video material of them on the internet, much less their parents who don't look for them. The search results get weird pretty quick; some of the videos are very questionable in nature, including kiddies taking the toilet or dancing naked. This content is not CP per se, but it can be classified as SCCP depending on the context. If you actively search for these you will probably end up on a list.
If you wanna find crazier stuff you can just translate the month name to any third world country. How sick is the content usually depends on the country you search from.
The worst thing about these videos is that YouTube probably has no way of filtering them. God knows what horrendous footage lies beneath the massive piles of garbage video data, just sitting there waiting to be found, stored on twenty back-up servers around the world with zero views." -copypasted from the /g/ thread about this
Angel Kelly
>Say nigger once >Get entire channel deleted
Isaiah Bell
Seriously, Youtube is a cunny utopia. Why did normans have to find out about these videos? They make such a fucking big deal out of it, we can't have shit. If I can't harmlessly fap to little girls dancing on the internet then I'm probably gonna have to rape one IRL to fill the void.
Wyatt Miller
he's a faggot, obviously.
Evan Cooper
>2. dont upload copyrighted shit Kinda hard when you have douchebag corporations and other douchebag youtubers that copyright strike you for nothing. To the point that you can say a random mundane sentence that just so happens to be the lyrics or song title of some band no one cares about and the corporation/douchetuber strikes you.
Xavier Reyes
same honestly it's a bunch of total fucking horseshit, wouldn't be surprised if the left is behind all of it like they are with literally every fucking thing
Angel Baker
>DUDE EARLY 2000s NOSTALGIA, YOGA BALLS LMAO >ZOOM IN ON MY FACE WHENEVER I SAY ANYTHING FUNNY IN MY SLURRED SPEECH LMAO fuck nakey

I bet Tommy boy has some interesting dinner conversations at thankgiving with that fucking comic
Colton Ortiz
>All but the craftiest and most business savvy youtubers will have to go out and find real jobs
According to the capitalism you no doubt worship so much, as long as you get paid for it, it IS a real job.
Alexander Reyes
Ah yes, because now they make 600k a year instead of 2 million. What a fucking disaster. Such a difficult life, getting paid 20.000 to play a fucking videogame for a couple of days.
Gabriel Ramirez
Google is just using this to transition to a youtube were commentating is removed.
>As professional curators and gatekeepers dwindle and are replaced by self-appointed and unaccountable ones, individuals are forced to assess information in ways for which they are not trained.
>While “fact” and “truth” are often considered synonymous, they actually have very different meanings in this discussion. The commonly held definition of “facts” are that they objectively exist in reality, regardless of belief, culture, or other consideration. They cannot be logically disputed. “Truth” on the other hand is made up of facts, but can be tempered by beliefs and interpretation. As such, two people can draw two different “truths” from the same set of facts.
>This means they should consider disabling commentary systems—the function of allowing the general public to leave comments beneath a particular media item—and be careful to refer to the spreading of false information and providing a fact-based correction without explicitly repeating the false message itself.
Cameron Nguyen
YT cannot police it's content, it's not that they dont want to it's that they can't. It's almost impossible for them to do so, there is just way too much shit being uploaded. Thet can never hire enough people to police 300 hours of video a minute.
Luke Martin
Are you mentally handicapped in some way? Youtube is enacting these rules because Youtube gets less money when advertisers pull out. I never once mentioned the people that actually make videos.
Mason Powell
Excuses, excuses.
Carter Davis
They could hire 18000 people.
James Parker
Hire a large number of people with OCD to police the uploads. They can literally do that shit forever.
>Youtube is not overall profitable I don't understand people that say this. Why would they keep it around if they were losing money on it?
Thomas Collins
this is so fucking dumb
youtube comment sections have always been a haven for banal vitriol and retarded shitflinging and just about any video on the site can get removed for this reason
Isaac Flores
Maybe you'll like it better next time if the OP is "Have you accepted that YouTube will be in Smash?"
Adam Russell
Is it really so hard to not cause drama? Like, just stay in your lane. Make your watchers happy. It can't be that hard.
Because they have a monopoly and control over video hosting on the internet. It's around to make sure that Google will become the internet one day and control everything. They couldn't give less of a fuck about making money off of Youtube, hell they literally give money away to any fag that uses their website so long as they're not a pedo or terrorist. They are doing whatever they can to get as many people in there and at this point basically put their life into their hands. All Google has to worry about is keeping up appearances and not get sued.
Aiden Hill
Shut the fuck up you cunt. You're the one that argues something completely different to the point I made in the very first fucking place. Not my fault your ADHD is hampering your ability to concentrate.
Connor Sanchez
Thanks for reminding me it's always a waste of time to try and have a discussion on Yea Forums. Never really understood why people are proud of the fact they make a place they frequent worse.
Wyatt Gutierrez
Not just a furry, the furry behind Twokinds!
Brayden Bennett
hey dumbo jim gets his money from patreon
Benjamin Murphy
Reminder that E-celebs are one of the big reasons why Yea Forums is such a steaming shithole these days
Lucas Reed
because americans are brainwashed to treat giant multi billion dollar corporations as gods? I'm not joking, they literally put a wall street criminal into office because they thought he would look out for the little man and all he did was proceed to be a criminal and act like a dictator and didn't even deliver his wall or tax breaks
Jason Perez
>people who play videogames are the reason why Yea Forums sucks Yes, people enjoying games and making people happy, cant have that, they need to insert consolewars and politics in their videos
Connor Carter
>wall street criminal into office Lol, you’re insane. Not even American, but good lord you sure sound like one.
Alexander Fisher
>we can detect inappropriate comments on your videos and demonetize you for them >what? No, just because we can detect them doesn't mean we can delete them because.
