If the PC version is being developed concurrently, that indicates that they're working hard to make sure it's optimized and we may end up with technical features not available on console (I.e. greater draw distance, etc.)

The trophy is called "Each in his own way" which is kinda serious for a title when a lot of the other trophies for missions are jokes or light-hearted, My guess is that this is the climax of the first half and the mission where the twist happens. I think they defeat Urizen here and Nero gets DT, Dante gets Majin and V gets whatever it is that makes his executions more brutal in the second half as mentioned by Itsuno.
Seems like a prime mission for Nero to pull his DT.

The no lock on really hurts DmC, and the fact that all the bosses are terrible with the exception of Vergil, who's just bad.
The Bill o Reilly boss is pretty, but all the bosses okay the same. Dodge some aoes, do some puzzles or grapple "platforming", wail on boss, repeat.
I wouldn't call DmC a good game, even if it was independent of the series. I'd call it average.

Boss fights are shit and colour coded enemies aren't really fun to fight, but those are fairly common flaws in these types of games and the gameplay is still fun overall with some fairly complex combos. I'd say gameplay-wise it's slightly above average as an action game. It's not cuh-ray-zee tier but it's still way better than Batman Arkham combat. But everything about the design, characters, story, and general presentation is so ugly and uninteresting that I actually greatly prefer the Arkham games because at least they have fun stories and shit that makes the shallow combat bearable.

they're only decent because they're quick. no one would find an average size mission where you spend of your time in an underwater, inverted camera, fps acceptable.

it plays like shit, it looks like shit. the missions are inconsistent. the bosses are boring as shit aside from a couple, but of course you have to fight the bad ones multiple times. the camera is never where you want it to be. the game is only noteworthy for being the first one and is almost entirely propped up by nostalgia.

i got into the series at dmc3 and just the other day decided to finally play 1 and 2 for the first time. it was not a good experience, but it's really telling that i still don't like 1 even right after finishing 2.

Use the Dpad and you won't have inverted controls. All the bosses are fun once you get the hang of them. You can do insane melee damage to Griffon, Nightmare is a bitch once you figure out how the cores work, and even Mundus is fun if you use your DT right and take advantage of the Sparda DT moves. And this is coming from a zoomer who found Deus Ex, REmake, and Morrowind too outdated to play. DMC1 is old but the controls and mechanics are nearly perfect.

I'd say the only real problem is how lock-on targets the closest enemy instead of the one you're facing.

Forward on the left stick is extremely simple and pressing one button is extremely simple. Combining all that together is an extremely simple and easy input.

I highly doubt it. What's going to happen to his summons them? There's no way to have a proper game experience when you have a traditional melee weapon on shadow, a much expanded gun moveset on griffon and also a full weapon moveset with V and then having to control all three at the same time while keeping track of everything.
The only way this could work in my opinion is if Nightmare is replaced as DT with Yamato (nightmare is very simple as is) and then V summons Yamato and his summons disappear while you fight with the sword until you run out of DT. Or he can switch from the summon style to Yamato and a traditional summoned sword type Vergil moveset.

But V being Vergil is dumb.

Yeah, that is a little weird. Enemy Step was really only useful for resetting your options, but all of V's actions are deteached from himself to the point that shadow and griffon can even attack while V is in hit stun. So what would he need to enemy step for?

It's probably just for evasion since you're usually safer in the air. It would be neat if there's a secret area you can only reach by popping up an enemy and using it for a double jump, though.
