Yes. It's a 20+ year old series that's focused around item creation and time management (excluding some games). The Arland games easily have the most complex item creation system I've seen in video games and you can spend hours planning out how to make endgame gear as you use specific ingredients to create materials with traits that you pass on to other materials to then create the final gear with those traits. And there's also a big focus on making items to use in battle because they're actually useful in this series.
The games are split into different subseries each with their own mechanics and setting and one big point of appeal is seeing the characters grow and develop over each subseries. The stories are generally laid back and more about slice of life antics than saving the world, but the writing is quite good all around and they can be serious and sombre at times too.
Also they have incredible soundtracks.

Zero effort on Totori and Meruru's designs, they look the exact same as they used to be but with new frilly clothes, both are pushing 30 right now, there are plenty of design clues to make a character older, no need to add curves not piss off the flatfags; smaller eyes is the bare minimum to make animu characters look older.

Rorona is way above 30, she already ended up being 30 by the end of Meruru, in Lulua she is on her mid forties.

If you want to 100% clear the game in a single run then yes, it is. Play it at a casual pace though and it's pretty comfy. I absolutely would NOT recommend starting this series with the intent to go full autism, just take it nice and slow and see how you feel about it.

Lulua's an odd duck in that it's revisiting Arland for a fourth entry, presumably because it's the most popular one and the subseries before that doesn't have the best reputation. But to get to the point, if you're interested in this new one then try Rorona DX. If you like that, look into Totori/Meruru DX and THEN go Lulua.

After looking at how much the game purposefully hides who Lulua really is, she's definitely not just Rorona's normal biological kid.

My guess is she's a human Rorona found cryogenically frozen or something like that in one of the Arland ruins. The last remaining human from the past era.
