Sure, though word of warning, these things break in like 6-12 months.

Also Afterglow controllers are actually really good for the price you get them at, mine is still in good condition years later, it's surreal.

it’s shit compared to a real console controller
the sticks have horrible dead zone

no, get an xbone gamepad

I have an F710 and it's fine but I rarely use it.

Steam recognizs it as an Xbox 360 controller.

not OP, what about this

Attached: FaceGPXIDpro[1].jpg (600x604, 59K)

After 9 years my gamestop controller is breaking. What do you recommend?

What? I've had mine for 3 years, previously had the earlier model and that one lasted 5 years.

Been using virtually this same controller for over 8 years, I like it.

>third party controllers

Attached: Disgusted2.png (750x750, 377K)

There is an little program called x360ce you need to run for every game to make it pretend it's microsoft's piece of shit but then it works great. You can set deadzone to whatever if you wanted but that's never seemed an issue to me. The d-pad and buttons have a cheap piece of rubber under them to pop the buttons back up and that has worn out on me. I've had 3 I think in 19 years.

Just get an Xbox or Xbone controller because for 99% of games they just werk.

I've made that mistake before. DS4 works with everything if you use Steam. I think Xbone controllers work natively. Why would you play with this shit?

Because I'm poor as fuck. I can't afford anything above 30$

>3 years
Hell dude mine lasted one month under 7 years. Fucking durable bastards, and comfy to boot

Does madcat still make those shitty controllers that have the hyper speed shooting options? If so, get one of those and cheat in multiplayer games.

nah, just get a real ps3/360 controller

oem ps3 controller only 30 bucks

Attached: 1523601159164.png (707x746, 158K)

i've had this controller since 2012. the shoulder buttons are rough on your fingers but if you're careful with your things it should last. yes, it's good and a lot of things support it.

i suggest getting a sega saturn controller for all your 2d game needs OP

You're poor because you're bad with money and keep wasting it on trash that breaks in months, tell your mom a solid controller will save money since it lasts longer.

you're supposed to turn the switch on the bottom so it just werks as a xbox controller
it works for me on linux so I cant see what the issue is.
its for PC
it's really only worth about $20, only buy if you arent gonna use a controller often.
the dpad is okay IMO, but the sticks are subpar.

Maybe he isn't a console peasant so he doesn't have console controllers lying around?

Why would you willingly subject yourself to a dualshock 3? Shittiest mainstream controller ever made

then save your money or wait for sales. i have 2 bones and a two ds4s that i got for 34.99 each in various holiday sales.

The joysticks felt weird to me, it's not too great for platforming though

Doesn't work on PC unless you install Chinese adware.

get with the times grandpa
github.com/nefarius/ScpToolkit

I found the l2 and r2 buttons to be a bit too stiff in the beginning but i got used to it. Great controller for the price

yea its good ive used it for combofagging in dmc4 for around 3 years now
the triggers are kinda stiff though

no, it felt once ONCE and now it sounds like a fucking pinata inside

No, I used this for a long time, finally got a Dualshock 4 and the difference in comfort and usability is night and day. Trust me. Do not buy the F310 or the F710. The only cool thing about it is the d-input/x-input switch on the back.

Attached: 1507927691975.gif (288x377, 1.83M)

It's shit but probably the best for that price range, with alternative being literal chinese bootlegs.
Otherwise just get 360 controller.

are these controllers good?

Attached: 03-L.jpg (1920x1300, 517K)

SCP is exactly what I was talking about. it's loaded with ads.

ds3 support was added to steam since last summer

I'm pretty sure you're mistaken.

No, God no! They suck.

It's my favorite for playing a number of emulators. It even has a button to swap the analog stick and D-pad

I'm waiting for those ones that have actual handles, fuck that tiny shit.

Pros:
-Cheap as fuck
-Very durable
-Ability to swap between d-input and x-input
Cons:
-Xboxhuge analog sticks deadzone
-Shit d-pad
-Triggers (or L2 and R2 as I like to call them) are stiff as fuck because reason

Why would you get this instead of a 360 or playstation pad?

What are you even talking about? You install SPC driver once and your PC will recognize your PS3 controller as an XBOX 360 controller.

I have it and it's not so bad, just a little stiff at first. Also should have bought it when it was only $20 a month ago

I actually have this exact controller. It's a little clunky but it's a very good controller that I haven't had any problems with.

PS3 controller is way better.

What's a good controller for fightan but also has sticks for other games? Hate the dpad on both PS and Xbox controllers

Attached: 1549582148452.jpg (576x768, 108K)

Where can i find a new dualahock 3I it's literally impossible

>these things break in like 6-12 months.
Are you treating them like shit? I think the current one I have has lasted me over 3 years. Maybe even 4.

The R1 button became faulty after a while. Went to Xbone controller, and the overall feel was much better. The only issue is Xbone D-pad is too stiff to be used for movement in games, but it feels just fine for navigating menus.

It's decent. You need some 360 controller emulator for some games though. Mine broke after like six years

>Sure, though word of warning, these things break in like 6-12 months.
The fuck? I've had mine for like 4 years and knocked it all around and it's still good

The DS3 was fucking horrendous.

are you retarded

>these things break in like 6-12 months.
What the fuck are you doing to your controllers? Throwing them against the wall?

Attached: 1.jpg (1500x960, 306K)

you can find it for 20 and thats worth it

but it doesnt have pressure sensitive buttons, only triggers so its not good for certain ps2 emulations

Meant to say they got bumped to ""Summer. 2019""

nah just buy xbox one controller for $50 you cheap cunt

Jesus Christ they still make those?

Attached: 1550304720687.jpg (1080x1080, 960K)

Get a 360 Rock Candy for like $20 or less then. They work fine for cheap ass controllers. Just be careful if you're a rager because they feel kind of fragile.

they don't work unless you're on windows 10, you stupid misinforming fucks. come to think of it you're probably retarded enough to be running w10

>downloading a third-party driver in the first place
>let alone one that runs a nebulous background process on your PC at all times
>just so you can use the one kind of USB controller that isn't plug and play

Attached: you guys seriously do this.png (720x540, 571K)

i've never had problem with it. WOreks better than the PS3 controller but feels kind of cheap

Works perfectly fine on win 7, you're just too stupid to set it up.

Nigger what? I've been using it on Windows 7 since fucking forever.

get a DualShock 4 and use DS4Windows

It's open source and it turns it into a plug and play device.

I've downloaded microshit's drivers off of the archived link of their website, I've used SCPtoolkit, I've changed the adapter name to generic360controller, xpadder, and every other plausible method you could possibly name. stop misinforming, you retarded fucking cunt

nigger

Attached: 1550151338187.jpg (249x277, 27K)

a first party controller you poor faggot

>I'm retarded an I can't read instructions
can't help you with that

How can you afford 30$ but not 45 you dumb impoverished fuck?

don't get controllers without detachable cable, all my old chinese controllers and xbox 360 controllers all broke because of wire, wires just get ripped apart really really easily, now my bro have bought a ds4, I don't like its dpad but its still running after years. I really like xbox 360 controller but that with wire is just too risky and to play the wireless one on pc is really expensive

>werks on my machine XD
please stop being a mouthbreather

Literally works on everyone's machine except for yours, read the instructions you dumbass.

please fuck off, I'm not interested in speaking to mentally handicapped people

Just buy a wired 360 controller, it's only like 10 dollars more.

ironic

I've had the old pre-XInput Rumblepad 2 model with black buttons since around 06-07 and it's still as new.
I don't get how people go through so many keyboards, mice and controllers. I've still got most pads and keyboards I've been using for the past 25+ years with just some minimal maintenance. Mice tends to wear out after 5-10 though.

>bought a plastic piece of shit literallly-who brand knockoff of a ps2 dualshock for pc, 10 eurobux
>im talking light as fugg, off centered analog sticks, shitty plastic frame
>it works fine, had it for over a year now
its perfect for emulation, i played mgs1 with it just fine

No, they're flimsy as fuck. Out of all current gen controllers, I'd go either Xbone controller or Switch Pro. The DS4 is shit.

Xbone or PS4 pad are $40 or less. Grab that.

they work fine if plugged in
get the old big fat wireless adapter if you want to go cordless on 7 or 8 and not the new smaller one. the new model is 10 only

The shoulder buttons are really stiff

30?! I see these at walmart for 20, get a price match or something.
Hell, I found a perfectly fine used one in a second hand shop for FIVE. You can do better than that.

Keep in mind he's talking about PC. The only OS that natively has the drivers to work with these are windows10. You can download them from microsoft's website (if you have the archive link, considering they removed the page for some reason) but even after doing that it still doesn't work for some people.

wrong

is this good enough for dmc5? 30 or under controller that is? i saw a 30$ mega man controller thats for xbutt/pc and it was snes style but wit modern triggers/analog/etc.... is that worth it despite the meme reviews on amazon?

my wireless elite controller runs just fine on my windows 7 pc. you too stupid to get the drivers or use google?

you too stupid to read? literally says RIGHT THERE that I did that

pls answer me im drunk and insecure... the girl at work ive been looking at whenever i can see her in my view rejected me ecause she said im creepy and get "mini-chubs" when the black dude at work looks at porn on his porn and shows me scenes.

Attached: spicy spic food.jpg (1024x512, 95K)

>she said im creepy and get "mini-chubs" when the black dude at work looks at porn on his porn and shows me scenes.
>looks at porn on his porn and shows me scenes.

im sorry user but thats weird and very gay

Attached: Im cia and this plane sucks.jpg (1280x720, 374K)

i have the wireless and the connection kinda sucks, but the controller itself is alright. so yeah i'd imagine the wireless is worth $30

I'm literally able to plug in and play on Win7

I'm thrilled for you.

>proportions
>that fucking d-pad
Don't pay 5 bucks for that garbage

no? works on my win7 and I bet it will still work on winxp

you are the one who's retarded here user if you can't install a simple driver

nah, it's still you that's retarded, because I stated several times that I have the drivers, and tried every other method that comes up. you're just another idiot with the "werks for me, must work for everyone!" mindset

>"mini-chubs"
>when the black dude at work looks at porn on his porn
>porn on his porn

i assume you meme phone but we all know NIGGERS only use phones for porn

Attached: first you get gassed, then the whole State of Israel!.jpg (1280x720, 133K)

Original PS3 controller is better and cheaper.
Beware of the Chinese fakes though.

If you're the one who isn't able to get it working and are lashing out at others who are, the chances are very high that you're the retard.

PLEAS FUCKING ANSWER ME

PLEASE :(
Im really tired and i know my mom is gonna smell that im drunk soon. whats the best 30 or under controller for dmc5 on pc please

>tfw girl at work rejected me and ive been a 8+ year non-sex`less neet

Attached: dmc verg advice.jpg (967x900, 421K)

No. Look.
Notice how some people are saying "It worked when I plugged it in didn't even have to do anything"
and others are saying "It works after you download this driver/3rd party program"
It's case-specific. The circumstances are different for everybody. Trust me when I say I've downloaded microsoft's drivers that are supposed to make it work. I've been in control panel and I've changed the adapter name to "Generic 360controller". I've tried SCPtoolkit. I've rebound the keys and tried emulating different input methods using services like xpadder and others I can't remember the name of. I'm happy that it works for you but to assume that just because of this individual case that it's the same for everyone is just pure arrogance.

Had you tried a tiny one

Attached: 71V0ABvlunL._SL1500_.jpg (1500x892, 86K)

>at work
>neet

What? I've had mine for years and judging from the other responses so have other anons, you're clearly doing something wrong for them to be breaking that fast.
Are you a rager user?

Get a Wii U pro, cunt

is that under 30 and is the hori mm11 memepad better? mm11pad is slighly bigger and looks more comfortable than that shitpad. thanks for answer frend tho :)
>3 Dya WEEK 6 hours not including 30 min lunch break and me being 5-25 mins late everyday

im a REAL neet. not a welfare nigger. im the japanese definition of a neet not a parasite nigger/spic. even jap neets have honor.

maybe your controller just doesnt work

>et a Wii U pro
will dmc5 support this? im gessing there is some bios so the controller regiters as a generic x=-inpt or whatever. i can aquire one withj MOTIVATION for free. but if i wanted to not steal from a druggy and wanted a superior for 35 or under what would tyou reccomend? amazon or ebay fazst shipping b4 the 8th though only

Attached: gaymer gril.png (500x508, 282K)

no, because I have a chinkshit knockoff 360controller that works fine in some games. the first party controller doesn't work under any method, and if you do any googling it all, they're not supposed to work natively on win7 without downloading the drivers from a page that's since been deleted

microsoft.com/accessories/en-au/d/xbox-360-controller-for-windows

Steam big picture is aids but has great controller support.

pm'd you the fix

Dropped mine once from a height of about 3 feet and the shoulder button was never the same again. I say it has about a 20% fail rate with every button press. It's held in place by a tiny metal wire so once that's fucked no amount of bending will fix it. I've opened it up like 5 times to try to make it connect but nothing works.

For the price though it's a good controller, but I wouldn't say it's sturdy.

get steam controller for 30 bucks on sales

only do this if you play games that don't require analog sticks. touchpads are autism and anyone telling you otherwise is trying too hard to cope with buyer's remorse

i may be retaded... does that meme any controller weith usb will work and jews have been shilling me? i have a ps2 ear/style contreller/logitechi tghin: but it works just as well? i just want responsice analog up/down movement so i can combo ze bad guyz

FUCK IT IM DRUNK GAS ALL KIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

>that don't require analog

>-T ANY GAME SINCE PS2 OR MORE

ARE YOU A SHILL OR RETARDED?

No, you would be much better off getting a PDP wired xbone controller. They are way higher quality and sell for about $40 or less.

Attached: 149034E7-578E-4D84-8AC4-F1D29ED6C857.jpg (3264x2448, 1.47M)

NO NO NO, don't do it.
The analog stics has huge deadzone, it's like playing with d-pads

Don't even buy the F710, it have huge deadzone as well(but slightly better than the f310)

Attached: 1465416249292.png (296x178, 100K)

i had one of these, they're shit

Analog stick emulation is better and more accurate than real analog sticks. You are just too much of a brainlet to realize that.

>Analog stick emulation is better and more accurate than real analog sticks

>t- emulation kiddo1s and reddit tier newfags

?really? its over reddit.emu meme fags of birthright 2001hae won......

Get an xbox or dualshock gamepad you shit. Stop buying trash.

I'm using mine for like 5 years. D pad is a bit stiff but I like it. The controller is totally useless for fps games due to quite big deadzones tho. But who right in their mind would play an fps game on a pc with a controller?

are you actually, undeniably, irrevocably, clinically braindead? I was advocating AGAINST opting into the steam controller meme, not for it

OP, just get a used 360 controller

I loved this pad (F510) and it kept doing its job for years and years, but eventually the dpad went out of whack and I got an xbone controller for my PC. If you can get your hands on a new F510 and you don't have a big budget, get it, but there are better pads. Also to my knowledge, they don't produce the 510 anymore. Only the 310 without rumble and the 710 without cable.

I wish DS4 wasn't so fucking expensive. Sure it has all of these nice features, but it's flimsy and it has terrible battery life. I have a sixaxis that still works fine and I had a DS4 shit the bed on my within a year. I ain't paying 60 fucking bucks for that again, but there's very few controllers that are good for both 3D and 2D games.

wut
touchpads are superior to sticks. you can get almost mouse like aim with controller shape. you can forgo the face buttons if you remap them to clicking on the touchpad so you'll never lose control over the camera
and they live longer than sticks

I have a hard time believing this at all, but if it works for you, I'm happy for you

Nah they are rather durable. I crushed mine with my chair or at least I thought I did and the only thing that happened was that R3 doesn't always work

get the wii pro controller or the wii u one, don't remember which one was the one with the long ass battery

sent you the fix

That's probably a bootleg.

They're cool looking and portability + bluetooth is good for laptop gaming but mine had a broken analog after a couple months. Not sure if i'd recommend.

Do the switch pro controllers work on pee cee?

>tfw bought a brand new wired 360 controller for 30 bucks from China and it works perfectly

Attached: 15432431241324.jpg (800x906, 406K)

either the wii u pro controller with its 80 hours of battery or a wired 360 one.
if you go on ebay i am sure you can get them for 30$

sticks get stuck.
just get an afterglow

The point of 8bitdo is they make retro controllers that don't cost an arm and a leg.

The moment they start dipping into modern controller territory is the point where they fail.

Why buy that when you can just fork over for a X360/X1 controller?

Steam Pee C supported
store.steampowered.com/sale/switch_controller_friendly/

a fightpad?
I would recommend the hori one but it does not have a joystick, but there is some other pads that do

I have the SF30pro model (the one that has all buttons for use as a switch pro controller). Build quality is meh, not bad and doesn't feel cheap, but it doesn't feel as well-built as an the official SNES pads its styled after. Buttons are more clickly and slightly taller than and SNES pad, and dpad doesn't feel as smooth either (but is perfectly serviceable). Battery life and charge time is good, though, and I've had no issues getting it connected to anything - my pc, switch, android box, etc. However, when connected to a switch I've noticed other bluetooth controllers have noticeable connection problems, as if the 8bitdo causes interference. Rumble feels like crap, even on latest firmware where it was somewhat improved, it's extremely weedy. Gyro, on the other hand, is superb - easily on-par with official joycon/pro controller gyro. Sticks feel similar to a DS4 pad, albeit slightly cheaper material.

Overall, a bit of a mixed bag, worth it at a discount though I think.

>Wii U pro
these are so fucking rare now. I'm lucky to have one, I guess, but unfortunately the stick on mine is askew. Still works fine, especially when using it with the console, but can drift slightly unless I increase the deadzone when playing many PC games or emulating.

>open box
OH NONONONO

i've had this thing for probably 8 years now works like a charm. If you're not too concerned with perfection i recommend it. Feels fine and works well. D-pad isn't great and analogs are a bit stiff are my worst complaints but obviously not too bad.

The D-Pad registers false diagonals pretty damn easily, especially horizontal+up. Quite frustrating when playing Castlevania and your character uses a subweapon instead of whip. Other than that it's a solid controller.

It's also quite small so if you have large hands forget about it

8BitDO are kino for retro games

No
PS3+SCPtoolkit is way better, and cheaper, and most durable

lmao fucking controllerlets
pic related cost me $5 and the vibration works with xinput wrapper

Attached: green.jpg (2048x1536, 1.55M)

DO NOT FUCKING BUY A 360 CONTROLLER

fucking lies
i play spelunky and other platforming games great with it

just buy a dualshock 4 or an Xbone controller. Those shitty pads break in a matter of months.

I've been using a 360 controller, a 360 arcade stick and a 360 fight pad for like 10 years with zero issues. What's wrong with them?

PS1/PS2 cable is garbage
PS3 is better since you can just wireless or buy the cable if the cable broke

I had an F310 and it lasted me for nearly 7 years before the R button gave out
Got another one a few months ago
>F710
>forced wireless
Too bad the F510, the superior model, isn't sold anymore and you have to rely on rare secondhand sellers

Wrong
F310 model (OP's pic) has a switch on the back that lets you change between Xinput and Dinput on the fly

This thing has lasted me well over a decade, there's hardly any wear

Attached: rumblepad2.jpg (500x333, 31K)

That looks horrible in a lot of ways. Has it been designed by old MadCatz employees ?

>the original rumble pad
My only complaint is the square analogs
