not op, but it's good. how much you'll enjoy it depends on your level of tolerance for vn segments, though, because there's a LOT of dialogue in this game (although they balance that out by allowing you to save during most cutscenes).

Compile Heart was between releases so the thing that affected them the most was Mary Skelter 2 being released in Asia. They had to remove a touch mode that pretty much broke the game and that was the last anyone said anything about it. IFI hadn't announced it so they'll just ignore it until IF Japan puts out a PC version if at all.

Dragon Star Varnir (NA/EU) had a witch's butt cropped out of an image and more steam in a shower to obscure a character's body for western release. These were revealed through IF's Korean distributor

Brave Neptune's Japanese ending CG is more steamy than a preorder bonus poster, but also had extra characters added. Post policy and they can say no content was altered from the Japanese version because they didn't have to do anything.

Arc of Alchemist (Japan) gave their titty monster character a tube top instead of a metal...thing as a top. You can only see that in the announcement trailer. It was the top selling new game in Japan aside from there being #14 in sales that week.

Date A Live (NA/EU) is going to have two images modified. I don't know how an image variant counts, but I'd bet money this one is getting steamy.

In addition another Date a Live game is coming to Japan, but it will be post policy change.

I honestly love this game so much. Neptunia Mk2 is one of my favorite games of all time, and this takes everything I love about that game and improves upon it (in ways none of the Neptunia games since Mk2 have done).

The story is great, the music is great, the character and monster designs are fantastic. I can’t sing this game’s praises high enough, it’s truly an overlooked gem that deserves much more attention.

Nope, everything is original for this game. Instead of tiny little linear dungeons like most Compile Heart/Idea Factory Games, the levels are completely original and built for each area, in levels that twist and turn with occasional puzzles, feeling like Persona 5 palaces at some points.

They improved upon the Neptunia battle system in every way possible. They’ve been experimenting with it since 2012, and this is honestly the best possible version of the Neptunia combat formula (and for the longest time I thought Mk2 did combat the best, but this is leaps and bounds ahead, especially with the inclusion of Field Bugs and the hacking support)

It got a higher metacritic score than pretty much every recent AAA release and I think it also has the best score out of every CH vydia.

The game is basically split into two halves (think Persona) where you play as cute girls in a Neptunia style JRPG in the video game world and a VN where you play as a dude in the real world who gets tangled into a string of government conspiracies involving the evil NotApple censoring the internet and implied globalist agendas.

No, the girl is trapped in the game and the dude is more guiding her to the exit and hacking the game so that the broken things can be fixed. They need to be able to act autonomously for a pretty important reason.

Yes, the gruesome deaths are all bad ends. You can avoid them if you make the right decisions. If they die its bad end game over restore from last save. THANKFULLY you can save at anytime during the VN segments

I'm at the beginning, and there's a lot of dialog... A lot. But it's actually pretty good. Much more fun than any "Triple A" game. Triple A has become tainted. Just like how Indie means shit, Triple A means you're getting an unfinished, incomplete product with expensive DLC cut from the game and resold back to you.

It's a pretty long opening but there's a fair amount to cover plus Arata's segments are all VN. That said by the time you have Lilly in your party its toned down a bit, then by the time you get Al its even lower. It spikes at the end/start of each chapter and often there's a mid-way bit where Arata needs to find clues in the real world. The opening's slow but then its rather well balanced between the gameplay and VN.

You forgot to add that their mostly shallow and have SJW crap shoved into and also that they're movies and games in name only.

RDR2, AC Odyssey, BF5 (PS4 version is lower), Blops 4, KH3, and REmake 2 are all higher. Off the top of my head for recent AAA releases, only Anthem and the PS4 version of BF5 are lower.

You're only correct if by "recent" you mean the last week, which would make no sense as a comparison because only a handful of AAA titles come out per year and most of them are during the holidays.

You never said western anywhere. I haven't played New Dawn yet so I have no idea what the credits list looks like, but I doubt it had a AAA budget. Crackdown 3 and Fallout 76 definitely weren't AAA.

The issue with this argument is that we're talking about some completely invisible and arbitrary budget line, and no studio makes their budget public knowledge. Your idea of how much money defines a AAA title could be completely different than what most people consider AAA, but neither is right or wrong since there's no definitive definition.

It's a fairly unique turn based combat (free movement on your turn and knockback/rebound mechanics) game with VN segments for the second MC.
The setting basically amounts to SAO (without Kirito) + Digimon + a horror mystery novel, but personally I think it doesn't commit enough. Bad ends in particular are pathetic for example, moreso after following that introduction.

You can venture back to other areas with only walking to it (I haven't, but it seems like you can) and fast travel within those areas (I have not found a use for it whatsoever), but it's all level based in the end.
You played Fairy Fencer? The levels/dungeons are like that, only without the hub/menu to initially go to them.
