I'm 21 and can't feel scared anymore playing horror games
Is there any game that can replicate the feeling of being 12 and playing the resident evil Remake on the gamecube?

Mount the ISOs of 2 & 3, and then run their installers like always.
DON'T use W10's own virtual disc app! Don't install under C:\Program Files\ !
The SH1 is a PS1 rip that you gotta emulate.

Follow the SH2 widescreen fix site's instructions to the teeth, and you should be fine.
For 3 & 4, check the Guide.

>Protips

>I'm 21 and can't feel scared anymore playing horror games
Stop playing shitty nu-""horror""" games.
I'm 31, and gems like Afraid Of Monsters: Director's Cut, Scratches, Cry Of Fear, Fatal Frame and Silent Hill still freak the hell out of me.
STALKER series is also great for non-scripted spookiness.

No. The whole horror genre is aimed towards children and women because they scare easily. Normal male adults shouldn't be affected by this.

Look at the bright side, you can embrace the horror genre for its true quality. Once you stop being scarred you can now realize how funny 99% of it is. Especially video games because the AI is usually so limited and the stories are so played up.

>horror is aimed towards children
which is why they're R-18, right?

>Normal male adults shouldn't be affected by this.
Says a psychopath with no skill of immersion and relating to fiction.

>Look at the bright side, you can embrace the horror genre for its true quality.
...by not being scared? Fuck off.

No particular game recs that aren't mentioned, but always turn off fucking everything before playing.
Immersion is not a buzzword. Light and distractions, especially shit like video and/or television, pulls you out and constantly reminds your brain of how detached you are from what you're playing. Get a blue light filter or something to help playing in the dark, but the more sole-focused you are on what you're playing, the easier it is for it to creep into your nerves and play you right back.

uhhm, why would you be scared of something that doesn't exist?
Only children can get emotional responses from fiction.
Also if you've ever been sad watching a sad movie fuck you.

Silent Hill 4 is too badly designed to be scary

I can't play a horror game for more than 2 hours a day or some shit. Still can't believe I actually managed to finish Undying somehow. And I guess Jericho but that's mostly grossout gore stuff rather than horror really.

Smoke meth or eat shrooms, that'll do it

Also 21, look buddy that feeling ain't ever coming back. You're used to horror games now. Best to just play and have fun.

STALKER never really scared me much, got me feeling tense though. Afraid of monsters though definitely. Also the house in Underhell creeps me the fuck out.

>that final level of Undying with the drum music that makes it feel like you're being chased even though you're not

FEAR extraction point did the same thing in the vents, fuck that shit. Also that big open field in the prison in SH2, you can hear something scurrying around in the dark but really it's just nothing. Fuck that shit I love it.

I played FEAR Extraction Point for the first time just last year and it stilled held up on the scare factor and managed to spook me with those invisible blood enemy guys. Then I learned the deployable sentry guns really cheese them and seized to be afraid. Still a great expansion to a great game though.

fuck off zoomer

Check out Underhell man. It's not perfect and even a little tedious at points but it's a pretty memorable experience.

This is the kind of shit people who pissed the bed until they we're 13 say

I will! Thanks for the recommendation, user.

>Silent Hill 4 is too badly designed to be scary
You'd be very wrong.
It has some of THE scariest content of the whole series.

True horror doesnt exist after 12 years old. Nothing is scary unless you believe in ghosts and shit like that. All that is left is jump scares
