Since this isn't strictly a 3x3 thread I'll just comment on tastes instead of number ratings.

I know ARIKA are apparently kings of Tetris development, but I don't see how there are three Grandmaster games. Do they add new modes or refine mechanics?
I always get the impression that anything I say you'll have played already, but let's try: I think you might be a Silent Scope kind of guy. At least, that seems like the kind of lightgun shooter you would like most. There's nothing quite like the actual cabinets though, where you get the zoomed in view from the actual mounted sniper peripheral's scope while the main screen is always the full area.
I'm enjoying Thief a lot even if my progress is slow. I think Hitman is probably up my alley too; if I can deal with pure stealth in first person (two things I've barely touched) then Hitman's approach is completely manageable. Would it be right to just play Blood Money the one from this year, or are there other must-plays?

I always like to see why people prefer certain Kirby titles over others, you mind saying what makes RtDL stand out for you? Also I've been hearing a lot of talk about Shinobi 3 lately for some reason.

Try out Dragon's Dogma. If it doesn't feel right at first, stick with it. It's not a "it gets good 20 hours in" game, but it does take a bit for the gameplay to click. Change your vocation if you're not feeling it still, there's a lot of variance. Also, sidequests are VERY optional, you can just do mainlines without consequence.
SCIV on yours reminds me to listen to its music. I haven't given it enough of a listen but what I've heard is masterful. Castlevania has a jazz/classical blend to its music but the way that game handles it is so interesting.

Rain in beta 1.5 is like the strongest memory I have of Minecraft, was chill as shit. Mario Kart's fun but I don't really have a favourite, I liked each character having their own karts in DS though, I love the F-Zero tracks in 8D though; music rules.

The system is [liked]/[played], or have you actually played all of those games? Pretty impressive if you have.

Overkill feels more about slow precision and is a much longer game overall. HoTD 2 is frantic and has way more variety in encounters, where overkill usually just has basic zombies bunch up in the center and stagger forward. How you do within a given level effects routes taken too, Overkill only adds more on top of levels and on a second playthrough making them even longer, so that can probably get old. Plus I love the gore more in 2,shredding enemies down is so much more satisfying than the cheap gibs of overkill. They're just two very different games, I really enjoy both and have been wavering between. 2 is easily the best one generally speaking.

Makes sense. Definitely validates my thought that I'd rather try Typing of the Dead Overkill than the original Overkill despite my love of light gun shooters in general.

If the first game seems uncool, then Tricky is basically SSX 1.5, with the .5 adding more of an aesthetic and a lot more character; there's a neat rivalry system that has voiced banter between the cast and a really funky look/sound to it. If it's the gameplay, 3 is the peak of it with the refinement of the UBER system and involvement of things like Half-Pipe challenges. I have nostalgia for 1 but it definitely feels like a launch title, which it was.

why are there so many people that like kingdom hearts? what the fuck is the appeal of that game? i even played like 5 hours into the first one and it was unbelievable dogshit.

KH2 is the only good game in that series. Everything else is pretty dogshit. KH1 was good for its time, though, but has aged horribly.

Either one is a good starting point.
Blood money has the best soundtrack and atmosphere, while Hitman 2016/2018 is essentially the same but modernized/streamlined, lacks the great soundtrack though
it absolutely nails the wild west atmosphere, if you're familiar with that genre (like Commandos) you can jump right in, otherwise check out Shadow tactics

I play almost exclusively on PC, those were just the best images of the packs I could find.

RtDL has the best multiplayer in the main Kirby series, and thats enough to make it my favourite. Also because you can play as Dedede.
