Actually it's the exact opposite, there's too many possibilities for what the series can include that can improve the experience. With the premise being that the game takes place on an alien planet that has been shown to rapidly change/evolve, there's infinite possibilities for enemies, pikmin types, and locales. The limit is one's own ability to think of such ideas to include, and it's no surprise that thinking of anything at all is a little too tough for you.

Smash mean shit, it doesnt mirror the real popularity of the original series. FE got dozens of characters and still is way less popular than Donkey Kong that ahs only 3, the same number as Kid Icarus, an obscure IP with barely 2 games that was dead for over 20 years.

Well in the first game the type of ending outcome is determined by Olimar's ability to launch off the planet by day 30 or earlier. Where as you cannot really have a bad ending in the second game.

It is, it give plenty of space for errors, its really really hard to not reach the ending in the first gameplay, and you dnt need 100% of the items, to reach it, just some specific ones, so you can finish it even if you miss many of them.

Pikmin 3 was the best selling game in the series, but despite that, it got outsold by Pokken and Hyrule Warriors, two spin off games. It's just not a popular game. If you like it, that's fine, but face the facts.

What I used to do was dedicate a whole day to gathering armies of Pikmin and just keep collecting parts, until enough Pikmin die. And yes there is a lot of room for error, as a person who has beat Pikmin 1 (3 times) my records were 30, 24, 18 days. It's doable, and if you are scared of pikmin dying, just turn off the volume, like I did one time
