the viewing threads were honestly some of the most fun i've had on Yea Forums. egoraptor coming on for that impromptu q&a, the nutshell videos, the reaction images. as stupid as it was, i legitimately started getting invested in it.

i really wish they would have at least tried another season. i assume the views were abysmal for obvious reasons, but it seemed weird that they wouldn't try to reach out to more e-celebs to participate.

Everybody else besides Ego were small named individuals who were mostly just Playstation or game enthusiast in general. They probably got scared that E-Celebs would take over the next one in response to ego's reception to being on 3. That or the negative impression of the season after his departure just scaring them from doing community shit like that entirely, which would explain why they dropped shit like Qore right around the same time.

The dumb part was how biasly Ego was kicked off too like I don't even like the dude but he was unfairly booted during that.

But why? I'd assume sony would just lean into it then. Like have the next season be more e-celebs and just string them along for as long as possible to keep viewership up. kicking egoraptor off so early was such a stupid decision on their part from like every angle imaginable.
i suppose it was a little too forward thinking at the time, but having a bunch of e-celebs compete in an online reality show is a pretty marketable idea.

there's a couple of episodes of early game grumps where egoraptor talked about his time on the show and how scripted it was. they were gunning to get him off as quickly as possible, which again is so weird for a show that really could use the boost he was giving them.
