First, the game is also on GOG, so Steamspy won't come close to numbering all the sales.
Second, this only proves that, in a month, Ion Maiden was already beginning to outpace Bombshell's two years worth of sales. If this was "when Steamspy was reliable," then it directly contradicts your argument that it was a flop.
