Limsa used to almost be Confederacy tier, but Merlwyb's La Noscea is just a semi-shitty territory akin to Thanalan. The Confederates are ineffectual at annoying the Garleans by their own admission upon meeting them, an actual nuisance to the Doman Liberation Front and people of Hingashi, and were nearly wiped out by the time you stumbled upon them. Leaving them to their own devices would have been a good thing.

I miss this guy. His motivations, dialogue and even his voice actor were all just phenomenal in my opinion. I really think him and his "crew" should have stuck around a bit longer.

Tank jobs suck. They re too simple, and often you go into raid and some lowlevel sucker tank2 in attack /poke you, like, "go you tank because i just want to dps" and you either eat shit and tank, or going drama and this sucks. tanks for suckers 100%

healers are ok but usually healer slots filled already, with girl and emoes, or other masochysts, this is bad but still bearable, but some times your co-healer is "I JUST WANT TO DPS" fucker, who press only malefic/stone, and doesent heal, and of course raid going to toilet

meele jobs are ok but not really. NIN and DRG are just suport suckers who want easy slot in raid and dont want to dps, they want only to suck dicks. Sam i think is ok but i dont like the flow of SAM, and nobody play MNK, but MNKs are ok, at least ~20% of MNKs are ok, and others just play monk without doing monk stuff and die a lot. like LOL DRG, but LOL MNK. but there s no such meme, so healers res all the time those fuckers, and this sucker monks ruins the fight

That's a recent development that only happens because of Merlwyb. For the vast majority of their history, up until 14 years ago, they were far worse and more violent than the Confederacy.

It needs a base rotation with optional spells that enhance it, and how many spells you actually have has no bearing on what you're allowed to queue for. It would work out just fine that way.

I think when I was dungeon leveling I only really touched BS three? times from 68-70 because I was having to dump all my blood on Delirium off CD to upkeep my DA spam. I was shit but still, blood gain is absolute ass til TDN and the good gear is equipable.

either farm 2 yanxia fates over and over again with the chance of spawning a third that drops like one seki stone with something like a 3 hour cooldown

or hope that that last fate spawns another final fate that drops 15 stones, be in a hunt ls and be lucky enough for to someone call it out or you yourself spawn it, find it and call it out, because it's impossible to do with anything short of 16 people

Only because they're naturally longer than normal dungeons and now have forced cutscenes. If you made new ones now, they'd likely be the standard three bosses with cutscenes only before and after them.

I've been playing FFXIV for 4 years now and last year i went to try FFXI on a private server, i played only 2 weeks but it adventurous indeed.
There was danger, there was mystery and true victory. It was just a short cutscene that set up a storyline, nothing grand at all but god damn i had fought to get there, i met a healer outside town, we parties up and killed a gauntlet of crawlers and fucking gobs! just to reach that shit place and i felt a sense of reward like i hadn't in ffxiv maybe since my first year.
It made me realize that XIV dazzles you but it has no meat. NPCs call you and adventurer all the time but there is no adventure.
God forgive me but i'm telling you that i really like Eureka because it's the closest thing to an adventure we have in this god damn game.

depends on your free time and if you skip cutscenes/dialog or not. you can get one character to 70 from MSQ exp so that should be your priority

I didn’t care about the story and had friends I wanted to play with so I rushed through MSQ as fast as I could, hit 50 in about a week and 70 after a little less than that. That was at 4.2, so I’d say you can hit 70 in two weeks if you grind through MSQ asap. Just focus on doing that and don’t worry about alt characters until you’re 70. That way you can slowly collect genesis over the next few months in between leveling alts.

I'd personally like to see a game that's somewhere between XI and XIV. Gearswapping is kinda dumb for everything but weapons, but the gear design in XI is leagues better than XIV. The teamplay aspects in XI are also far superior and don't boil down to merely debuffing the enemy to take more damage. But I have to admit I really do like the faster pace and fluidity of movement in XIV.

The way the acution house in BDO works is as follows: Every item has a set price. So lets say everyone on the server wants corn. But you are the only person in the entire game who has corn. Naturally, you should be able to sell it for millions right? No. Corn caps out at about 500 gold with an X% modifier that will maybe bring it up to 700 at the highest. No matter how much people want it, this is all you can ever sell it for. And no, you can't open a trade window and manually sell it because trading is not allowed (The playerbase is happy with this and claims it keeps bots out). So what you do is place your corn on the auction house for 500 gold and everyone bids. I say bids but what they actually do is enter a raffle. Everyone pays 500 gold and gets a chance at being the guy who gets the corn. If they dont get the corn, they get a refund and wait for someone else to post more corn.

Now because of this communist auction house where the devs decide what something is worse, there is tons and tons of materials that rich players are willing to pay through the nose for but no one will sell because farming them isn't worth the gold you can get for selling them. One famous example of this is boats. You can sail the sees in BDO, but you have to build your boat by hand because 1. No one is selling the mats to make them as there is no profit to be made and 2. No one is selling boats because it takes an absurd amount of time manually grinding all the mats and the devs wont let you sell the boat for a reasonable price.

What people don't realize is that the story skip alone isn't enough. You also need the level boost which is another purchase. Otherwise you're going to be a level 20 noob with the MSQ skipped and you just said goodbye to all your easy exp from the MSQ and are now forced to grind dungeons for a longass time just to catch up to the MSQ level wise.

Even then skipping the story is like paying more money to skip more than half the game you already paid money for. It's basically paying for a gamesave you download online.

How? Wow has a spammy GCD with weak animations and barely any spell effects.

If you are a gameplay first kind of guy its absolutely the way to go. Grinding dungeons, fates and tower is a way more palatable experience to clicking through wall after wall of unvoiced text then running from point a to pooint b 87 times to deliver messages between the exact same two NPCs

More power to you if you're invested in the story, but I don't play MMOs for the story, especially not illogical stories where all the thousands of player characters running around are somehow chosen ones just like me

After me and fiends have played ffxiv for around two years we finally got my brother to try the game who like wow and literally all he did was grind and skip every cutscene and complained about it having too many cutscenes.
He quit around lv20.

Me and friends explained to him multiple times beforehand that we wanted him to try it, but that it was a very real final fantasy game with a long story that takes a long time to get through, then immediately bitched about it not being a korean grind fest.

The only cool think about MNK is the implications it sets about our character as a monk. I hope in ShB the new skills are the WoL "economizing" some shit as an excuse for the coming prune. People bitch about the aura thing but I get the feeling you only get an actual aura when your body cant continue to contain the energy you're shitting out. The WoL is still growing stronger. We're hopefully gonna see some shit where the fucker can have like infinte-chakra at some point or another. I think people are more bummed out by how much the story gates content and playing with friends. Want to do specific dungeon with friends? You can't unless you made it to a certain point in the story. What about helping a friend with a job quest or side quest? Nope. It's a solo only duty quest or it doesn't count friend contribution. I didn't say it was good writing, I said it was the best part. They began as archers counting casualties on the battlefield who sang songs to soothe themselves while they watched all their friends die. Then those songs became infused with emotion and became magical. Entertainer bards first came around when those singing archers came home from the war and started making a living with their war songs and gradually embellished the tales more and more.

Monk's rotation is damn near perfect after years of getting more and more abilities to facilitate the playstyle, and even spice it up as with the current tornado kick rotation. It's not hard to play once you get a feel for the timing, and get comfortable with fights.

I personally never skip cutscenes, but sadly when my friends come back from their hiatus, they wind up skipping some to try and catch up. For instance, I was doing all the normal raids in SB with a friend and he was trying to be nice and not make me wait forever with as little downtime as possible, so he missed pretty much the entire arc just so he could play.

In that dungeon, Doom gets cleared by walking on the colored slabs things in the room. As far as I know there's 2 types of Doom debuffs in this game, it either gets cleared by walking on glowing slabs or by healing to full, depending on the boss.
