In a game against Vaevictis, team ROX banned 5 support champions during the pick/ban process

Although it is not technically against the rules, both Riot Games and the broader League of Legends community took this as a sign of disrespect towards the Vaevictis Esports team.
what were they thinking?

why is this disrespectful

>league of legends
Who gives a shit?

Good. Hope they stomped them to the ground. It doesnt matter what you ban if other team is utter shit compared to you.

girls only play support in vidya

>why is this disrespectful
Because ''girls only plays support'', and to signal that they're not afraid of the other team, so they'll let them play any champion they want.

Are they going to get punished?

basically it was the other team saying "you're so bad we don't need to ban the champions you're good at or that are strong in the meta. Play whatever you want because we'll still win."

At least that's how people are interpreting it. I think it's a bullshit double standard though.

Should be banned desu.
It doesn't matter that ROX are better players, its all about sportmanship. The game was hilarious tho

this is literal misogyny

it was poor sportsmanship but I'm pretty sure if it was 2 teams of all dudes the reactions would be very different.

Instead people would be talking about how this is the start of a rivalry and how this adds a layer of drama to their future matches. But because its a girl team its like HOW DARE YOU BULLY THEM

ziemlich BASIERT um ehrlich zu sein

>White knights faggots

How is it bad sportmanship when the mechanic is literally pick or ban whatever at your discretion? RIOT had hidden pick/ban guidelines now too?

>the ennemy team are girls so you can't have bants
I bet if LOL had the same tipping as in DOTA, there would have been a bigger scandal.

>E-Sports organization
>literally strawmanning against their own players
lol

>we think we have the upper hand regardless of picks so we make stupid bans to style on you
>somehow because they're girls it's wrong
>The game was 12-1 even with those picks/bans
Women really are ruining video games. Who thought this match was a good idea? Was it organized as a showmatch (in which case making goofy shit for show is the whole point), or did Vaevictis earned their spot in that tournament somehow?

OP is literally just creating another incel b8 thread
The owner of the team wanted to sell his spot but riot didn't let him
All of his players left so he hired 5 girl player for fun
These girls are about Diamond 5 level which is far from pro level
I doubt any of them cared about this """disrespectful behavior"""
So long story short OP is a massive faggot as usual

>Playing against five support mains
>Not banning as many supports as you can

are you doubting the genuineness of this article?

Thanks for replying to my post above yours.
So this is another faggotry case of "being offended on women's behalf", while the team of amateur females got a LAN match against pros, which is a lot of fans' dream, and in any case not a humiliation show.

If they went serious try hard, faggots would have whined they could have gone easy on them.

you two faggots should get the fuck out of here
it's called sportsMANship. It can only exist between men.
They could have all just raped them on stage and it still wouldn't be poor sportsmanship at all

>banter between opponents not allowed
Throw them into the carebear ball pit where they belong

On one hand, I think you should respect your opponent, on the other, if your opponent is giving up such a large advantage and still manages to stomp your ass into the ground, then you should recognize that they're out of your league and accept them playing down to try to impress the crowd. Because at that point, it's less about trying to have a competitive match and more about trying to keep the viewers entertained since no one really wants to see a one sided stomp go on for thirty minutes.

I think there was a race between two speed runners I watched once upon a time, one guy knew he was much more skilled than his opponent (Who really had entered the tournament to promote himself, he wasn't bad but certainly not first place material), so he spent his time showing off some uncommonly seen glitches to wow the audience. I actually wound up learning a few esoteric tricks that probably wouldn't show up in normal play but would have incredibly niche uses that theoretically could come in handy.

4 of the 5 player are literally support mains too, this whole thing is retarded on Riot's part. Not the players fault the stereotype is true.

This, along with everyone else who plays lol

>not banning nobody for maximum disrespect

>3 members of Vaevictis main support champs
>Surprised that the opponent team is banning support champs
???
