Why I can't enjoy Civilization 6 as much as 5?

It's not as good.

Do you play tall? Because that's way less viable now

Play tall? if you mean on a large map, yes I do that

Civ 6 is awful for SP since the AI is the worst in the series
>people actually defend 5 over 4 on Yea Forums now

Attached: Wild Ride.jpg (1280x720, 102K)

What? No, I mean small amount of powerful cities

Repeat this OP: I am a contrarian gorilla N

Heeeere we go...what's wrong with 5 now?

Attached: mask_eric_stoltz.jpg (420x339, 28K)

Because you can only play a sprawling 10+city civ

That's just straight up untrue though, play science or culture and 6 cities are enough up to emperor difficulty

The new gov system is less interesting and the AI also struggle to compete with the player thanks to the new stacking system. Its a good alternative to 4 for MP but its obsolete now than Civ 6 is beter

NEW GOOD OLD BAD

based contrarian-contrarian

Loyalty is a shitty mechanic

You tell us. I can't go back to 5 after playing 6.

Play tall=fewer cities, but higher development
Play wide=more cities, but less development

Art style sucks and ruins immersion, try to match pic related to the following:
>China reportedly suffered a drastic decline in population during the 13th and 14th centuries. Before the Mongol invasion, Chinese dynasties reportedly had approximately 120 million inhabitants; after the conquest was completed in 1279, the 1300 census reported roughly 60 million people.

Pic related looks like a faggot and not like Temujin at all

this nigga looks like a thumb

Show us what Temujin looks like if you're so familiar with him. You've seen him in person right?

I bet he didn't look like a pixar character at least, he should be more menancing. Janny is mad at this thread, i'll make a new one later

He established our national parks service and fought in Cuba.

It’s over designed with complicated mechanics that make the game too long and tedious to enjoy.

Civ5 feels fun, Civ6 feels like work.

Brazil is the one that doesn't make sense
T. brazilian

its closer to south than north you fucks

at least the AI could be a genuine threat and not just free cities waiting around for you to capture

1/10

The other one, retard

Mexico is in North America, you dumb amerimutt.

AI always sucks and always will suck in 4x because player handicap = difficulty in 4x. They will never fix the AI as long as this is allowed, never.

They speak spanish tough which makes them part of hispanic america

Which isn't a continent.

based brainlet

in 6 and to an extend 5 the AI cant contest you militarily at all thanks to the lack of death stacks. They will just sit around and wait for you to murder them. At least in 4 they could deathstack their major cities or send deathstacks that could threaten you

the only things 6 has over 5 is automatic roads and casus belli

City building and tech tree are better.

>Genuine AI
>Tile of death
pick one
Not to defend other civs but the combat and that game is broken and the AI is retarded agaisnt certain strats like mass corsairs. Stop looking it with rose tinted glasses.

I don't get it either

We have many famous scientists, artist and writers. Also Kristina invested a lot of money in art
>France
Catherine had a big spy network
>Poland
Jadwiga is known to converting many pagans to Christianity

I said threat, not that the AI was good, the main argument against the new tile system is that the AI cant handle it

>youtube.com/watch?v=3i6N9FF0g_w
uh no they don't

I'd fuck that smug lady.

I think that it would be better with mods that balance it out so you can actually play with less cities, any reccs?

You do know what collateral damage is, right?
And even if that doesn't satisfy you, there's mods out there that let you put a hard cap on how many units you can stack in one tile.

Is Brazil not hispanic?

red shell

5 is better desu
I like Eurekas and policy cards and automatic roads but my main issues with 6 are

>agendas making the AI even more retarded and one dimensional. I.E someone who should reasonably have no quarrel with you hates you for having no ships despite never doing anything to him
>Culture/Religion victories are incredibly tedious , with lategame just coming down to spamming Musicians/Faith units into enemy cities over and over
>Districts are pretty restricting, there is basically no situation where you don't want a Commerce Hub - Industrial Zone in every city spamming internal trade routes
>Wonders being impassable makes them a ballache to place in your cities and often aren't really strong enough to justify losing a District or improvements slot (or slots)
>Unique abilities and leaders just don't feel as interesting as 5s imo. Shit like Japan is so underwhelming for example
>Combat balance is fucked with Artillery being absurdly overpowered with very little counterplay

Most of the new mechanics are really weird and abstract, particularly “districts”. There’s no diffusion of cultural ideas and traditions apart from city flipping etc., barely any spontaneous emergence of new states, resources are still super weird. Civ VI is considerably more complicated than Civ IV, so why does it feel so much more unrealistic?

id rather the unit spam with culture victory over just reaching a certain culture threshold and building a wonder

Daily reminder that Jadwiga is literally built for BBC (big baltic cock)

>game breaking gameplay fault
>AT LEAST IT MADE THE AI BE THREATENING
Keep going user

>no situation where you don't want a Commerce Hub - Industrial Zone in every city

You want to commercial hub or dock in every city but not necessary an industrial zone. It's better to build them more sparingly and let the workshop and factory spread their production to nearby cities.

Also the AI agendas are to make them more aggressive towards civs that either undercut their strengths (build too many wonders/great people) or should be vulnerable to them (having a small navy against a civ that's supposed to be good at naval shit).

did they ever fix the broken AI in 6 that just sits there and doesn't build anything?

Because you are aware that there are better games like Endless Legend 2

I agree with some things and disagree with others. My main point I differ with you on is the leader abilities not being as good. I went back to civ 5 and was shocked at how...bland a lot of the abilities were compared to civ 6. Like, for instance the united states. They buy tiles cheaper. Wow.

What an incredibly beautiful man.

I agree, he's almost too perfect

UI is bad. It's so distracting that it becomes hard to enjoy the game. The map fog of war is absolutely atrocious

dios mios...

someone get the japs on the job
