It feels somewhat oversaturated and, it may sound bit fucking autistic, but trying overly to impress; with polished details, excessive effects and massive quantity of options, though of good quality and thought
It just doesn't feel all that cohesive, aesthetically speaking, with the original RA2 style. Sometimes less is more I guess .. ?

I need to go finish the Russian Campaign. That first mission is surprisingly long, and then my game crashed when it was loading the next missions.

I prefer Generals, I replay it every year or two.
There's something supremely comfy about it, I've barely touched Zero Hour though, I liked the vanilla balancing. Didn't seem right for the expansion to remove some of each faction's weaknesses.

First Red Alert Soviets had such OP defense in the Tesla Coils that 2nd game Allies needed an equivalent the Prism towers.

The only missions where you start with a well-developed base with yuri, you get your shit kicked in by scripted events
