A relationship that builds quickly, there should be a significant physical bond within the first few chapters (kissing/handholding/groping etc) and a cementing their relationship within the first 20 or so chapters. Failing that then I expect fanservice and for at least one of the characters to be energetic and unashamedly a dyke. There is nothing worse than long drawn out romance manga where there's no development until right at the end, this goes for hetshit too
