I do think about this sometimes. How frequently do you remind your audience about something in a serialized manga? Baki is a 30something year old series. Do you want someone who randomly picks up the magazine to be impressed with what you put out? Do you want to lure them in with some cool scene? Or is this admittedly just fluff because Itagaki needs to space things out for whatever fucking reason?
