In the sabaody arc, Kuma attacks the strawhats and send each of them to a different place. Does he plan to send them to a place where they'd get trained well or is it random? If it is random, how do they end at the perfect places for their training?
He has already encountered the Strawhats once, making comments about how great of a crew Dragon's son has. And even when they first met, Kuma was naming everyone and their title correctly, even noticing Sogeking is not a real name. So I think he knew fairly well about everybody's position in the crew.
>Luffy was sent to a place with the cultural of using Haki. And how conveniently, the empress is also a Shichibukai which is essentially the only ticket to Impel Down/Marinford if Luffy ever wants to rescue Ace.
>Zoro was sent to Mihawk. Kuma seemed to have grown some respect for Zoro after their first encounter. Zoro also stated back then his head is the head of the future world best swordsman so Kuma took up the hint and sent him to the current best.
>Kuma was friend with Ivankov. He probably knows well enough that Kama Kempo is very similar to Sanji's combat style. Before time skip, Sanji's most perfectly matched rival was Bon-chan who also used Kama Kempo. Ironically though, poor thing.
>Nami has shown attacks using weather traits. Predictably Weatheria.
>Nico Robin was highly appreciated by the revolutionary. Kuma was part of the revolutionary. He probably knew they were going to come and free the workers on the bridge anyway so he sent Robin to a place where the revolutionary could catch up to her the quickest.
>Franky is a cyborg stated in his title. Where else should he go beside the Future land.
>Don't know how he knows Chopper was their doctor but the island Chopper was sent to seem to have great medical history.
>He is aware of Ussop being a sniper since Sogeking means sniper king and he is kinda notorious for shooting down the World Govt flag. The island Ussop was sent to was home to loads of seeds that can be used to diversify attacks of a sniper.

Kurohige was at whokecake at the end uh

I always wanted an explanation how exactly it works to warp things. Does he only have to know the locations or did he have to visit them before to know where to send them?
Josiah Ross
My headcanon is that Kuma's fruit is already awakened, and normally it just pushes air but awakened it pushes concepts
Landon Rodriguez
Realistically now Oda literally leaves the characters in the country of destination, so I hardly believe anyone will join.
Onigashima will be stopped by Zunesha so carrot will go back home and minks will stay in Wano
Easton Sanchez
Carrot's not going back to Zunesha. She would have to let Peros' taunt beat her to do that.
Jason Edwards
Could just be intuition. Zoro is a swordsman, send him to Mihawk. Franky’s a robot, send him to a place with a Vegapunk lab. Nami is known to use a weather weapon, send her to Weatheria ect. etc.
Come to think of it. Kuma only really sent a handful of Straw Hats to areas that specifically catered to their training style. The rest just made do. Luffy, Robin, Sanji, Brook, Chopper, and Usopp all got sent to unrelated areas and just made do.
James Rodriguez
I don't think he needs to visit the places, just know the location in a geographical sense. Otherwise that would mean he visited Wheatheria, Amazon Lily... it's possible but unlikely.
And for some reason I remember something about his book being filled with island coordinates but I don't know if that's just fan theory or from a SBS
Lincoln Hughes
The rest of the minks, however, taking a area in Wano to neighbor the Kozukis is plausible.

Oda literally won't write anything more complex

Kuma is a LuHanchad

Yeah, it's Amazon Lilly that keeps me iffy.

You're saying Carrot's just going to live on Zunisha alone like a hermit?

This was Dragon's plan. We know the guy keeps keeping a watch on Luffy. Kuma was only part of the Warlords to get intels during the meetings and what missions the Marines were doing. Dragon told Kuma to send them all in specialised places to enhance their capabilities. It wasn't random. It was all planned.
Kuma ate the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that gave him paw pads on the palms of hands; these paw pads have the power to repel anything they come into contact with. His paw pads grant him an absolute defense that allows him to protect himself from all physical attacks, even swords. He can also use his paws to attack by repelling his target at great speed. By Kuma's own admission, his paw pads repel things at the speed of light. the most impressive application of this fruit is that Kuma can send someone flying over vast distances, even across the world and traveling over the course of several days. The victim of this ability is encased in a paw bubble that protects them from and breaks through any obstacles that are in the way of the destination of Kumas choosing. To an outside observer, the victim appears to vanish.

So what do Dragon and Vegapunk have in connection?
Obviously not random. But the question is why he did it and who told him they would be there. It's actually a huge plotpoint that isn't discussed enough
Yamato joining is really going to expose so many ecelebs and a large part of the fan base as speed readers

Still find it hard to realize that Katakuri is that tall.

Knowing how long Luffy and Kaido have been fighting and the Straw Hats have been resorted to Run Piece for several chapters now. I do wish Oda didn't get all the Tobi Roppo and All-Star fights out of the way so fast. That gave the illusion things were ending soon.

I love that they expect him to go back to being edgy after Nika mode Godspeed, spic artists

Don't give it (you)s.

Don't give up

Yeah it has been more than 10 chapters that the last SH fight was besides Luffy
I guess we could count Law and Kid? But that was also almost 10 chapters ago

What would happen if Katakuri tried to sit on Tashigi's face?
Carter Garcia
Nothing. Kuma is connected to Luffy through his father only. Kuma said he let's himself be a guinea pig for Vegapunk's project as long as he allows him to fulfill one last mission. Which was protecting Sunny.
Character degradation is unavoidable in a series this long.

the only thing wrong with Beast Pirates Robin is that she isn't sitting on my face

I don't think having a narrative purpose conveniently for one situation is hack writing. He also protected the Sunny with Duval before Franky returned.
