As a brazillian I have never seen japanese culture(non-chingchong) in any mainstream media here but almost everyone have a friend with nip traits. Some of them can trace back they family tree and find grampas, grand grampas etc in japan and others don't even know where the traits come from.
The cultural differences are too much, we are literally on opposite sides of the planet there are no direct flights and it's a minimum of 23hrs by plane.
My point is, we got mixed with their imigrants while they didn't. Giving birth to a non-japanese child used to be shameful in japan.
