My favourite character was Sen and my favourite story was Kuro's dad for making me cry and the "Kuro goes to school" one.

oh, forgot to answer you question, my favorite character was Sen but Sen without Kuro whouldnt be Sen, so really, my favorite is Sen and Kuro.
Its hard to choose one favorite but I have to say I loved the Kurodad stories even if it had the most painful ending in all of the manga.

How do we know that 41 killed the professor? Was it just explicitly stated somewhere and I missed it?

It's not necessarily explicitly stated and the two chapters are quite spread out.
Sen says he saw a skeleton in the manor wearing a lab coat.
The final professor chapter has him locking Nijuku and Sanju in the cell where Kuro found them and getting too close to 41.

Thanks for dumping, it's been a pleasure. I've enjoyed Sen's snarkiness throughout and the school chapters because of how Kuro punished the girl. This illustration gives me a strong vampiric feeling,

My favorite ministory here isn't an interesting choice, but I'd like to come in defense of the story that lead to Sen getting the earrings which seemed like an asspull for no good reason, it was all just a coincidence and I'm fine with that happening every now and then.
